Well, he's not necessarily the final character. He's just the final character that these people are unlocking. The order is only designated by the order in which you complete the requirements.

There was no way to unlock Game & Watch before anyone else in Brawl. I'm assuming that that's the case with this games final character too.

Read some posts please

No, give the whole character one FS that makes sense for all the alts

Example: Airship or something

That wasn't hard at all
But then everyone who isn't complaining about the current FS would be complaining about no paintbrush representation

Now that the game is essentially 'out', I'm wondering what bloody sense it made for Sakurai to hold off on the last newcomer reveals. Why not do trailers for Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Dog? Surely he realises that in the modern age of twitter an announced trailer than that gets people more excited than either a) a leak, or b) people just saying on twitter 'smash is out, bowser jr et al are in'.

Really strange decision, to me. If he actually has trailers for those characters that he'll release in the run up to the Wii U version that would be even stranger.

For Wii U hype!

Of course both games will have every character. That doesn't mean they will right away.

I'm simply saying October 3rd, 49 characters...Wii U release, something happens, both games now have 54. Or something. Is that such a weird idea?
I personally agree with you completely. It would be much easier to hype up the Wii U version if it includes new characters - and I think what they'll do is have the new Wii U characters be DLC for the 3DS version, DLC that is unlocked for free if you connect the 3DS to a Wii U version.

And it will include Ridley, because what better way to hype up the bigger version of Smash?

LOL I can't. Just when Gema's Jigglypuff teammate trolled him hard, when he and 2 CPU teammates fought Giant Jigglypuff, she killed the CPU's within seconds.

Jigglypuff's facial expressions when attacking or getting hit have been COMPLETELY REDONE! It's so Kawaii it hurts! Yay!

Very.
Wii U version is probably done as well. They must be in the debug phase.

Right. And they could easily plan it. For example, 3DS already contains the files for all 54 characters, you just can't unlock them. Wii U release date, a spot pass is sent out that triggers the unlocking of the last 5.

Yes.

If not only because DLC characters in mah fighting game (especially planned ones like youre suggesting) that soon after release of one version and in time for Wii U release is sickening.
If youre gonna do that pull a Capcom, wait years later, and release a new addition with the new characters.
Even if they were making and planning DLC characters, if they didnt get into the game, they probably wont be ready for, like, a year.

What makes you think they wouldn't take out characters from the 3DS version on purpose, until the Wii U one is released? They have to sell that too.
Because thats asinine

You mean Melee. Brawl did put a wall around Toon Link, Wolf and Jigglypuff tied to finishing SSE though.

Yeah I have no problem with Shadow Mario even for the koopalings. It's a pretty unique FS and honestly it's not much of a stretch to say the koopalings could also use that disguise.

Solution: DLC for the 3DS

Adding characters to both versions at the Wii U launch wouldn't affect roster parity at all, as long as both rosters end up in the same place.

It's still very unlikely, though.

I'm fine with that.

So is there stage creation mode in the 3ds version or is that Wii U only or not there period anymore?

I haven't seen a stage builder in any of the 3DS streams yet but I doubt it'd be missing from the Wii U version at least. Sakurai just hasn't shown anything with it yet.

3DS version has the odds stacked for it. A larger userbase, the first one coming out, and anyone who wants to play as any of the newcomers first will get it. If they keep some characters for the Wii U version it gives some actual incentive to buy that version, which at this point casual players don't have very much of.

I want to believe...

Almost 3 more weeks to go for NA/EU release date. I'm not longer craving for release date since I saw what I really really like. Three weeks waiting should be nothing for me.

On Disk DLC to advertise a month later version of their product?

What are you trying to make Nintendo become here?

From what I can tell Bowser Jr. is the main character, his final smash was likely decided early on and then koopalings were added later.

Also I can see sakurai focusing alot on the secret characters on the journey to the wiiu version. Letting us know whats changed and how they work and the like

Plus, Hyrule Warriors/FF Curtain Call next week, Fantasy Life the following one.
It's good for me, and glad about the multiple challenge walls.
