I wonder if the PC version will be Steamworks with Social Club layered on top. I'd long assumed this would be the case, but GMG's product listing mentioning "Other DRM" has me a little doubtful. It wouldn't make sense for R* to stick with GameShield considering A) It sells the Steam versions of its games literally everywhere but GamersGate, and B) GameShield doesn't protect against "day zero" piracy.

I think Social Club is that "Other DRM" mentioned.
My guess is it will be just like Max Payne 3: Steamworks + Social Club activation. Retail version might be without Steamworks.

this game took me 35 hours to beat, not doing it again
I've put that much time into previous GTA games without getting to the 4th or 5th story mission, LOL.
Look at the listings for other R* games and tell me what you see.
GMG's DRM section refers to what's being sold (e.g. in the case of GTA4, a Steam key), which isn't necessarily indicative of what the game uses (to continue with the aforementioned example, GFWL).

I am not sure about Photography, but Rampages might refer to the Killing Frenzy mini games from the previous entries.

GTAV was the first GTA game I actually beat, and while it was a fair game experience...compared to many other games I've played, I just don't see the appeal in the long term. I don't like stories where you play as bad people, and while the characters in GTAV had more personality than ever before, I just don't like those type of people. Same reason I really don't care for mafia films or shows...they're bad people who I can't root for, and in a video game, I certainly don't like playing as those kind of people. I feel bad just making the renegade choices in a Mass Effect game. One exception is the Saint's Row games, which I think that stems from the suspension of disbelief I can apply to that universe where everything is just so fucking insane, that you don't really take it seriously.

yea thats why ive never finished any gta game before 5. after that went back and finished 4 too, and story wise, i think 4 is a better game.

Thats great, I sold mine like 4 months ago and didn't know that.
I hope they bring some more stuff over to SP like random Simeon missions or assassinations.

I dunno how many of you have devices that support Google Now, but because I used to search GTAV so much it pushes all of this news to me from horribly unreliable sources, with titles like "CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE OF GTAV," and thne the content of the article is just complete garbage.

I saw 30 minutes of gameplay of this game yesterday.
Guys the changes are astounding. Really incredible stuff. Rockstar said their goal was to push PS4 / X1 like how they pushes PS3 and 360. The environment changes they've done are incredible.

Well MGSV is 60FPS, but GTAV is going to be filled with cars and people and things. I wonder why 40-45fpps is never really discussed though.

Yeah, definitely 1080P and a lot of visual enhancements across the board are what we should expect. 60 frames per second is just not going to happen.
How would you say it looks compared to the current trailer? Did they add more trees? (seriously need those trees man)

Would they get in trouble? I know we have games that take place during nonfictional periods and they display the message in their own way. If technology existed during that era, then maybe those games would of never made it out the design room. Is there a certain time line when things like that can be mentioned in media or video?

Even then it seems nuts since the disc is $60 regardless of plus status. If you're Plus and buy the disc, you should basically get the season pass free to make up for a discount on digital like that.
So I'm going to say I doubt that Driveclub listing is final at all.
Because most TVs and monitors are in multiples of 30 hz. And because most "45 FPS" games tends to mean the frame rate is wildly variable.
Pretty much every thread will have someone going gaga for playing it on their vita, no matter how the controls are designed really.

I still play GTA V on a weekly basis, I simply LOVE to drive around the city and explore it.
And now I have a reason to buy it for PS4, and I'm sure I'll explore the city even more!

I told myself I was going to stop double dipping. I knew I had a problem when I picked up Diablo even though I had already played the game for ages on the PC. I was fine with Tomb Raider and TLoU because they were good, story-driven games that I knew visuals would enhance. I had to pick up the Master Chief Collection because I skipped the 360 and I'm pretty far behind in my Halo lore.
