Destiny is UK's biggest ever new IP launch

I'm enjoying the game, so i'm happy to see it get this level of success. Let's hope it's the Assassins Creed 1 of the series.

Xb1 holding its own!
Also Old Gen is dead!

But I bet Destinys legs are about as short as its story campaign. Word of mouth is not kind and thats a death sentence for a online game.

Looks like destiny could be breaking a few more records

Ie most traded in game and most second hand games sold on ebay

Awesome^^ I am loving it, and I am always happy to see new IPs do well^^ The split is closer between PS4 and Xbox1 than Watch Dogs was, correct? Hmmmm.... I wonder what that means about the gap between them sales wise... has Xbox1 been doing better in UK since may?

Edit: Good answer to my question^^

First-person shooters tend to fare better for Xbox than open-world games when it comes to platform splits.

Hopefully devs get it in their heads that cross gen is a waste of time. I expect last gen AC to bomb. Same with borderlands. Now we just need hardware news.

I am more interest in the percentage split.
Does that mean that majority of the core audience moved to next-gen?
But with 18% out of 380k, that is pretty decent for a downport, which shouldn't cost that much.

Iam the one who is seeking, either price drops for new game or cheap used one. Thanks for reminding to check Ebay.co.uk

PS3 version will of taken a chunk though given its Bungie's first stab on the machine.

Nice percentage for the Xbox One. And it's also good to see that the older consoles didn't sell much... The sooner we move away from cross gen games, the better.

Does this include the Destiny copies that were sold as part of a bundle? if so I thought the PS4 would have a bigger lead over Xbox One on launch week.

I haven't seen any of the marketing material for Destiny on TV or anything. How clear are they making it that this is also available on 360/PS3?

No surprise. We all got burned by some slick marketing from Acti, Bungie and Sony here. Can't blame UKers for this one.

That is a very impressive XBOne:pS4 ratio, MS will be happy, the 330 quid bundles doing work.
