Is it worth it to salvage materials for glitter. It's far less painful than grinding through normal means and provides a somewhat normal payout. However, it's very tedious.

JUST GOT AN EXOTIC AUTO RIFLE FROM A LEGENDARY ENGRAM HNNNGGGGG

If you like the rate of fire don't turn on focused fire, I can't remember if it's automatic now or not but there's no way to turn it off once it's set.

Loving the shotgun in PVP, so much fun to use in control.

An hour+ of glimmer farming to level up the cryptarch gave me a purple engram.

That purple turned into blue garbage, of course. Not a single fucking legendary in all my hours of playing this fucking game. I'm done with farming, I truly am. Eat shit Bungie.

I feel you, I'm 22 and finally all blue.

Fuck this game until they do something.

Man these daily Heroic missions on lv 24 do not fuck around. Madness. Enemy keeps trying to flank me, they seem to be much more aware of each other and much more agressive and aim better. No f'in around

didnt realize it was exclusive to ps4 users. and what do you mean by level 8 cryptarch? (still following this thread and all info is still confusing to me)

You get a legendary (not sure if its always legendary) engram after each time you level up the Crypterd.

Just read about how Primeguard didn't get any actual upgrades after completing the Vault of Glass. Man that's disappointing. Bungle should have tier'd the gear and made it so all the legendaries from Vault were higher level than what you can find out in the world. As it stands right now you have to be so geared to even compete in the Vault that the rewards aren't even really worth it.

Asylum | 7/10 | Best in Rumble, Skirmish
+ Decent lines of sight
+ Decent height variation

+ Gorgeous environment
+ Contestable heavy ammo spawns
- Some chokepoints too small
- Railings top balcony should be removed to make it a power position

DECENT
The Anomaly | 6/10 | Best in Rumble
+ Moving centerpiece
+ Mix of good lines of sight and close quarters
+ Contestable heavy ammo spawns
+ Easy callouts
- Center room and balcony area is visually and geometrically cluttered
- Some chokepoints too small

First light | 5/10 | Best in Control

+ Contestable heavy ammo spawns
- No flow whatsoever; cat and mouse gameplay
- Cluttered sightlines
- Copious amounts of cover; superfluous paths
- Callouts

Blind Watch | 2/10 | No best gametype
+ Good height variation
+ Decent environment and skybox
+/- Callouts
+/- Contestable heavy ammo spawns
- Entire water area is deadspace
- Cluttered sightlines (the pipes top mid in particular)
- Geometry that is difficult to stand on
- Predictable spawning
- Automatic doors tend to lag

- Destiny's Sword Base; gameplay favors the hallway around B, rendering the majority of the map useless.

I've only played Bastion once so didn't include it.

They are...

A lot of people don't know this yet, but VoG legendaries give +30 light when maxed out (same as exotics) versus the +27 light of normal legendaries.

A full set of VoG gear with an exotic subbed in is needed to cap at 30.

I somehow managed to get another legendary engram. After being burned 3 fucking times with legendaries turning into shit, I think I'm just going to start stock piling them in my vault and hope that Bungie pushes a patch/fix that makes legendary engrams roll legendary items.

So I just got myself a exotic bounty to go and do. Are they easy? Looks like it wants me to find a patrol out in Venus. It gave me three options to pick from so I dunno if one was better than the other.

Posted this earlier today, but lost in the fast moving thread.

I just thought of a hypothetical way to farm for drops in the crucible. I probably wouldn't do this since it'd be a lot of work and you're still at the mercy of the RNG, but people are saying the better drops do come from PvP.

Can 6 players form a fireteam and play skirmish or rumble against each other? You could work it out so that one player gets all the kills on one other player, next game they switch places so K/D is not affected. One spot on the map can be designated the kill spot so each player just sprints there to their kill/death as fast as possible. Matches would end super fast and there would be potential legendary or exotic drops for everyone at the end of each match.

There's something that makes them more aggressive today, says it on a little symbol before selecting destination.

I got 2 rares when I got to lvl 8. Fuck me
Its rage inducing.

I got motes of light for a few legendary engrams from leveling up the cryptarch and at first I was pissed but now I have like 27 motes of light so at least I can grab that legendary armour from that strange fellow that is in the tower on weekends. Or should I buy that holographic Warlock bond from the speaker?... decisions decisions.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
I've seen explosive round weapons in PvP. Shit is annoying as hell.

Though if I level up Thorn I might try using a handcannon since it'll add some DoT.

Regarding the motes of light for the speaker, isn't that totally pointless? They seem to never have stats, so I'm wondering why they exist. You can only have one exotic weapon/armor piece, so wouldn't that just screw you over? Or do class items not count? On the other hand, spending the motes on Xur for an engram is LOL NO with how those turn out.

That 3v3 play list is how PvP is meant to be played IMO.

just more fun when you aren't getting shot in the back all the time.

I've only played 3v3 a couple of times, but it doesn't seem worth it unless you're going in with a Fireteam of friends so you can coordinate. Going in with randoms is pretty much guaranteed to get your ass handed to you unless the other team isn't grouped up, too.

Its rage inducing.

Those are just for show, right?

Holy shit. I have a hand cannon that does explosive damage. Shits OP as hell.

I have a rare scout rifle that does the same. I don't think I like it, though, because the added explosive damage isn't actually additive. It actually takes some of the bullet damage and uses that as splash damage. So each bullet hit isn't actually as strong as it would be otherwise. Plus, I thought the explosive animation looked like shit.

I just decrypted a purple engram, the Cryptarch says "Pity your enemies Guardian". I look at the item I got. It's for the wrong class.

Does anyone know if the DLC for this is region locked?

Got the NA PS4 bundle and I live in EU. Now obviously the Vanguard DLC code won't work unless I make an American PSN account, but let's say I were to buy the EU Expansion Pass. Would that work?

I know most games have their DLC locked, but I thought that was tied to the way the saves are encoded. This seems to have its saves in the cloud though, going by what Jeff Gerstmann said during their quick look of the PS3 version, that his character and everything was pulled right in after playing the PS4 version.

If you pop it near the Septiks Prime he will flat out get rid of it with his close insta kill attack, so that's something to keep in mind.
That is exactly what must have happened - just when I needed it most it was gone, in a matter of seconds.

Gotta say, I don't see the point of an invulnerable bubble if a boss can just handwave it away. That's like having invisibilty until someone looks your way.

With that being the case, both Titan supers seem craptastic when it comes to bosses. Can't ground-pound them as they all have a wicked counter-punch, and can't make a bubble to survive their boss attacks either.
