Are there any RPG elements left in this series? Looks like God of War to me.
Luna is a muslim, confirmed. That looks very close to the Muslim crescent and star
Where is the female cast? Looks amazing graphically though.
Yep. Sounds like Nomura, alright. What I thought as well. Maybe Stella is his childhood friend too, and Luna is the princess Noctis suppose to marry for political purpose.
The problem with this is that it's too ambiguous.
- The trailer dialogue speaks about Luna and then it cuts to Stella, but it may be cut intentionally as a red herring, with the dialogue referring to a different woman, but edited to appear this way
- 'Luna' may be be a name Stella is using to hide her identity, didn't early story details pit Stella against Noctis? (in the iconic face-off CG) so perhaps she's forced to assume a different identity to meet him outside of the battlefield
- In keeping with Shakespearean style (as the game is clearly inspired), there may be a case of switched identity, so perhaps Stella/Luna are one in the same/ different people acting as the same person (sisters)
- Stella may be renamed Luna
Could be any one of these, we just don't know, but I think it being a new character is fairly unlikely.
Luna/stella's pendant has a moon as well as a star.So that's not really an indication.
I've always like the KH battle system so this is something I don't mind seeing FF borrow from.Wut...have you played any of the Kingdom Hearts games? Yeah...like that.
That's what I'd like to know.

They haven't revealed many characters. We only know 4 party members so far and the reasoning for them being men is because they are Noctis's entourage and they're job is to protect him (the exception being Prompto) but they've also become close friends with him.
I'm sure we're gonna get more party members and I'm sure some of them will be females. We still know very little of this game. Footage of the early sections of it aren't gonna enlighten much.
So scripted it hurts to know that we'll never be playing that.
TBH all the battle gameplay in every trailer looks totally scripted.
"-Yo guys, how do we make this scripted sequence look like actual gameplay?
-Just throw in some health bars and HUD!"
If they had added some "hit numbers" over the leg of the mammoth I'd have laughed so hard....
Maybe there are button triggers to get party member assists in certain scenarios.I got a feeling this game is going to annoy me more than Max Payne 3 with all these long ass animations and scripted moments.
No, never played a KH game. I've been playing the FF series since the first one in 1988, so all my experiences and expectations have been shaped by those. I'm trying hard to be open minded (hell, I gave FF13 a pass), but I'm struggling to see anything but a scripted action game here.
It is not about graphics here. Heck the gameplay doesn't seem all that fleshed out to me. It is all about exploring that world of XV. Meeting its characters, exploring its locales. This is what this is all about. For years, we heard about the stories of this world and now we can finally explore it.Still not excited about this the trend with this generation of games is hype everyone up with nice graphics to disguise a very bland game looking at you kill zone. So will wait for reviews but omgosh! Then graphics made me change my pants.
I wonder if we will see a playable female character now that Nomura has left.
Probably the best hair I've seen in a game.
The setting is just so strange too me, especially when they're driving a normal car.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but I thought they said there weren't any playable female characters the last time they were asked, at least in singleplayer. That's what I'd like to know.
In the old trailers you could, but I'm unsure if that's still true.I do not want to go cross-country with that blond.
Have they mentioned whether or not you can switch party members?
Probably the best hair I've seen in a game.
I dont see it. Alice Madness or even TR looked better IMO.

That was the whole concept, 'a fantasy from reality' or whatever it was, a somewhat grounded and relatable world.See, that's why I like it. Too many JRPGs are fixed in fairly typical fantasy settings and it kinda feels like XV is eschewing that.

Blond guy had third person shooter controls at the time.

Revealing that there'll be a female playable character is practically a spoiler given the kind of approach and setting the game is in.
Since the game's design/initial story approach is that of a road trip amongst close bros/friends, the only way a woman would even come into the picture is if the 'bros' got split apart or someone dies.
It's not something they'll reveal right now, assuming there will be a female playable character.

Well, here's to hoping. A road trip with his commentary would be a nightmare. In the old trailers you could, but I'm unsure if that's still true.

I do hope they ditch that car very early into the game though.
I remember in an old trailer of Versus XIII, the team was stopping the car at a place were the road was cut by the sea.
So maybe no more car after this point, if this is still in the game.
Probably the best hair I've seen in a game.
