Man, Chiyo is so cute. The ending is amazing. Especially with best girl, Seo, just going and climbing the statue in front of the school. Waka has an incredibly overactive imagination. That ending scene was complete bait even though they weren't going to have Nozaki-kun say that he likes her. Hope this gets a second season since this was indeed the best comedy this season

Really, was I the only one who kind of hated the ending to Nozaki-Kun?
I wasn't even invested in that romance and that post-credits thing felt less like a humorous joke and more like a massive kick to the balls to the audience. I'll say it now Nozaki and Sakura should have hooked up here.

I felt the romance of the ending was a stupid tease but everything else was just fantastic

Why would you expect real romantic progression from a 4koma gag strip adaptation, especially after 11 episodes of nothing but jokes?

Well, there is no guarantee for a second season at this point, so either it is a kick to the balls or blueballs waiting for a thing that may never happen.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Episode 12 – If This Feeling Isn't Love, Then There Is No Love in the World [end]

Should have had everyone in yukata, though at least Mikorin got it. Really once again, Wakamatsu, Hori, and Mikorin bring all the good moments.

Was an alright anime overall, had lots of low moments but lots of highs like the sleepover, and the episode when they were going through the VN. 7/10.

If you've reached episode 5 then you should be fine , the rest they have to tell you will make more sense now ( that was the hard part )

BUt you'll have quite some backstory to accept because this world rules aren't the clearest.

Yeah. That has turned out true. Subsequent episodes (I'm now up to 9) seem easier to manage even without a firm handle on some parts of the prior episodes.

Most of my issue was with some of the bigger picture stuff. The school stuff and the bits surrounding the death of Horizon I was mostly fine with. The bits I had issue with was with regard to the factions, the principal and his old friends, and the whole reactor plot.

Hero Bank Episode 25
ByI4QRqIYAAGxfa.png

THAT never gets old. I hope in the final episode they do it once again but with
Long-Kun and Nagare

Pretty expected outcome but still feels a bit odd that the anime is suggesting that everything only revolves around money and that people should accept their debts and such :(

I have no faith in Kyoanus

Why yes, I'm utterly sure it's the animation studio at fault and not the publisher's decision to promote ongoing titles that don't have an anime adaptation and have room to grow over a franchise that has three previous adaptations, declining sales of both visual/print mediums, and which hasn't been on Japanese TV (outside anime-specific channels) in 6 years. No, let's just blame this studio because you're not getting what you want because why bother supporting a license of the novels again? (which would get you the conclusion of the story because that's what Fujimi Shobo and Kadokawa Shoten do for anime; promotion for novels)

FMP images come out for associated things like Super Robot Wars and people get all upset because the only fucking thing that goes through anyone's mind outside of Japan is "ANIME?????!!!!!!!" It's utterly idiotic.

DraColle & Oreca Battle 25

Good DraColle battles this week with Shin and that comedy too.

And then in Oreca feels as if we are already at the final boss too with Azul sama. Flow though is definitely on the same level as Heat, Bahn, and Dante.

Nozaki-Kun - 12 [Finale]

Yeh this is definitely my AotS. Mind you I should've probably watched Barakamon but I just wasn't in the mood for that type of show, so I'll go through that at a later date.

Have to say it did annoy me partially for the following reason: At no point in the show does Nozaki ever really act misleadingly romantic towards Sakura. There are lighter misunderstandings en mass but it's nothing like this. Considering the characterization of his up to this point, why would he get up so close to Sakura's ear in this sensual manner in order to tell her that he, too, loves fireworks? It's simple OOC for me.

Even if someone where to tell me he did it because Sakura didn't seem to understand him due to all the fireworks noise and if forced to repeat he might as well tell her up close, that still doesn't explain this seductive manner.

So the writers just went OOC with him to have fun with the audience instead.

Because that behavior only made sense to me if he actually was about to tell her he likes/loves her too I was seriously wondering "no...wait. They aren't going to drop the bomb here, right? Holy...maybe they actually do it."

But no, of course not I suppose. An anime-only seasonal-ending does ultimately make little sense if they ever want to continue the adaptation.

If you want to fool your audience though, do it in a clever way, not by letting a character behave out of character.

Also, while I came to terms with this show being "a comedy that is based around romantic subjects" as Admiral Woofington put it and should not expect actual character/plot progression, it does annoy me if those shows then try to tease you with it either way. Don't pretend to go a direction that's never going to come unless the manga author intends to end the manga (and even then...).

It's not a big deal either way but I wanted to mention it nevertheless.

Nozaki acting romantically without realising he's being romantic is one of the many reasons why being chiyo is suffering.

What a great way to end the show. THe comedy still solid. Definitely one of the best comedy show for this season. Here wishing for 2nd season!

Nozaki acting romantically without realising he's being romantic is one of the many reasons why being chiyo is suffering.

See I don't think he's acting romantically in this scene. Rather he's acting fairly nonchalantly in a situation that would otherwise be romantic. It's not like he's very slowly taking a bite and then seductively smacks his lips while looking into Chiyo's eyes (to exaggerate a bit).

Instead he simply takes a bit, looks forward and tells her in a matter-of-fact manner that it tastes delicious.

I also feel like it's usually quite obvious to the audience that Nozaki is not showing signs of affection during the moments Chiyo is blushing and hoping for just that. This episodes ending though, that's the one time I was wondering if he was really confessing to her too as his behaviour seemed OOC for me otherwise.

I dunno man. Eating someone's toffee apple is something you do when you're in a relationship to me. I ain't gonna eat my friend's toffee apple. :p

Well yeh, the situation/action itself is a romantic one 'usually'. It's just Nozaki's nonchalant manner makes it very clear that this is not an attempt to be alluring.

I think Nozaki being so straight-faced in should-be romantic situations is where a lot of the humor with this pair comes from.

Sailor Moon 39

Worse than Bambi.

The plan this time is at least slightly better than in the last episode, Makoto lifts a man and falls in love with anybody who even slightly reminds her of her senpai and Tuxedo Mask uh... saves the day again.

Mushishi Season 1 END

Wow, amazing first season. Those last several episodes were awesome. Gonna catch up before the second season starts again.

The Mikawa reactor was basically a way to get the plot moving, tipping delicate power balances between countries by announcing the existence of another Deadly Sin weapon and pushing the union to punish the Far East and Musashi. Not very straightforward the first time around, for sure.

On Full Metal Panic news.

Not sure how many people went ahead and read the Full Metal Panic Sigma manga (which adapts all the light novels and concludes the story) but they could easily finish the series up in a 24 episode season like FMP season 1. Anyone expecting another Fumoffu, well thats unlikely to happen. After the events of The Second Raid shit gets real and the drama doesn't stop. There is a short but excellent fan service filled arc thats a bit of a Die Hard spoof (
complete with Tessa in a maid outfit
) but other than that its a pretty dark/violent plot driven affair.

Hopefully they finish this series up cause the ending was fucking awesome.

T-Tessa in a whaaaaat?
*o*

Yeah in that context it makes sense to make a pure girl into a slutty one but it still bothers me lol.

Servant x Service 3

Mmm...still not quite digging this. For one, Tokp sucks. Generic tsundere little sister just feels so out of place here, and I can't say that in a good way. And coming off of Working!!, this isn't as absurd and zany. I do feel like it's close to getting to what it's going for though, so I'll keep on.

SXS is not as good as either season of Working but it suffices I think. Much the same way MMY is a followup to Spice and Wolf with roughly the same sort of idea but flawed execution. Its still good but not GREAT.

Really, was I the only one who kind of hated the ending to Nozaki-Kun?

Well its not a Romcom so much as just a slice of life comedy with romantic misunderstandings. So the ending is kind of exactly what it should be.

I hope they put some of the more interesting idols in this show. From what Ive seen so far it seems a bit of a letdown.

Jupiter was amazing in this episode!

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
As I said to Enron, I hope it's a bit.

Dad to the rescue!

Usagi and family goes to a hot spring for vacation, but even there enemies shows up. Feel a bit sorry for Usagi in this episode. And they didn't translate the word yokai in the subtitles for some reason.

Space Dandy 2 12

One of the weaker episodes. The whole murder case and the resolution of it was just bland and uninteresting. Oh well, the baseball sequence was good. It seems like Dandy and dr Gel may actually meet in the finale.

School Days 8

This bloody show ...

Katsura finally finds out Makoto is cheating on her. What does she does do after that ? She slaps Sekai (good!) but then proceeds to beg her on her knees to stay away from her boyfriend. (wtf !?) You would think she would direct some of her ire towards unfaithful boyfriend but nooooo. Itou is a saint ! Never mind the cheating, I will let him grope me and maybe he will agree to go to a dance with me.

...

Stop being such a fucking tool.

It's infuriating that no one calls out Makoto on his bullshit.
