I think the show you're looking for is Magimoji Rurumo.

Hmm... Maybe I should try that show one day.

Hanayamata END

Where do I even begin with this? Well what I was expecting after the first episode was a show about cute girls doing yuri things and then dancing. In the end they pretty much ditched both of those ideas and replaced them with drama and friendship speeches. The two things that this show had going was Hana and the bald guy. The bald guy was barely in it either. Such a waste of a great character... Just a side note, but I think that out of the twelve episodes only three of them actually showed the girls dancing yosakoi. Horrible considering that it's the whole point of the show. At least the end was very cute. I hope that this doesn't get a second season. I already hate myself for watching this one. Anyway time to finish up Barakamon!

Please don't compare an amazing show such as True Detective with the filth of SAO 2 lol
Well, my point is that it is a trope that appears everywhere. Police Procedurals rely on this trope for pretty much 90% of their stories.

Barakamon 12: Episode and Series Thoughts
I sort of regret not watching this show. I think it was all the negative reactions to episode 3 that turned me off from committing to watching it.

That's sort of like complaining about the fact that the Keions don't play their instruments every week though. :p

Terror in Resonance

So, I just finished the show. I thought the final episode was really good. Overall, the show looked good and was decently entertained by it. The music is excellent and the direction made it feel like a live action show. Heck, the direction helped a lot in making certain episodes better than they had the right to be. There were some great suspenseful moments, I liked Shibazaki decently enough, and I liked to see what Sphinx had up their sleeves.

It is a shame that the show wasn't as good as it should have been. It could have used at least 2 more episodes to develop certain things. Lisa was under used, I was really hoping Lisa would be an examination of why regular people go into terrorism due to the emphasis on her being bullied and abandoned at the beginning, but nope, that went nowhere. She was more of a person who anchored the two Sphinx protagonists' humanity, which while that is good and all, she didn't get a chance to shine as a character herself, and she didn't do anything of note at all. Five, well, while she did shake things off in a good way, in the end, I felt she was pointless, and I have no idea why the show wanted me to feel sympathy at all for her in the end. And goddamn someone get a good English voice actor because I understand if people were taken out of it by the terrible English.

Finally, I was hoping that this show would be a show about terrorism. But it isn't, and Sphinx are made out to be more of antiheroes. As it is, it works fine, but there is a part of me that just think about what could have been.

You're missing out, you truly are. I only put Space Dandy S2 above Barakamon this season. Nozaki-kun was fighting for the second spot but ultimately Barakamon was more consistent in its quality.

So the guy they fought was taken care of before the OP even played... That's a shame.

Well, to the beach we go

The inn section lasted all that long thanks to an ex-Gunpla Battle player turned landshark. But it's okay, Sei, brought his Gunpla and so did Yasaka making this a 2 on 1 battle for the inn. It goes without saying that our heroes won of course.

Oh hey, what's this after the cre-- Yuuki? Is that really you?

Barakamon 12:

Wow. This is, hands down, the best anime show I've seen in a very, very long time. I know I'm not the most knowledgeable anime fan out there, and I dislike conventional trope-filled shows so that removes most of what's available every season, but this is up there with Baccano, Planetes and some select others for me as one of my favorite anime ever. People joke about shows "saving anime" from time to time, but this one did it for me. Fun, filled with charm, with extremely likeable characters (Naru is probably one of the best if not the best constructed child character I've seen in a show), relaxing, relatable in some way every episode... good fucking show. It really is a shame to see it leave my weekly rotation.

You absolutely should, even if your tastes are different from mine. I refuse to believe there isn't at least one thing you'll enjoy from the show.

Oh I guess I forgot to post my series thoughts on Irregular

If you're going to do a gary stu is awesome anime this is probably the way to do it, the series very early on acknowledges the fact the MC is basically god and their is even a shot in the finale episode right before the opening song where onii-sama is floating in the sky like an angel covered by the light that some mook looks up at in awe.

It's not a very good anime and the story is laughably bad, but it kept me entertained the whole way though. 2.5/5 while it's arguably better then the other Gary Stu anime I watch SAO, SAO has so many hilarious moments that I'd recommend people watch that over this even if it's objectively better.

Sword Art Online II - 13

"You know, Sinon, we really are Sword Art Online II - Phantom Bullet"

And so we come to it at last. The moment that anybody who has the roughest idea of how Reki Kawahara writes could have predicted. I mean, I talked about it before this even happened, and yet I'm still amazed at how transparently all of his male characters fall into the same characters. If you are an important male character in SAO, and you are romantically interested in any of Kirito's harem, you will turn out to be a deranged stalker/rapist. That's just how it is.

Like I said before, it's very telling how the older, and for the purposes of the show asexual, Kayaba, who killed thousands of people, is still depicted as dignified and noble, while the subsequent villains who threaten to "steal" Kirito's possessions are always depicted as irredeemable sociopaths who are reduced to babbling, creepy weirdos by the end of the story.

This episode was kind of funny. We see all these big businesses, scientists, etc. building what they believe is the strongest Gunpla and the perfect player whereas Sei is just some middle school kid who's just taking after his father who didn't even win. Truly an underdog story.

Invaders 12
The final episode was peaceful but boring with some teasing for a potential second season. A pretty alright series. The characters were really fantastic especially Yurika. Really excelled with the character interactions that despite most of their cliched initial personalities, I didn't really dislike any of them. There were some weird running gags like Ruth's hate for beetles but, otherwise, kept it exciting in some predictability.

I wonder if someone's ever described something as "pandering" but also something that they liked/thought was good? Because like "harem", it's one of those terms that only seems to be used in the negative.

Mechanical animation porn panders to me.

Space Dandy 4

Ha ha, this was pretty good. The first half was typical zombie flick stuff, though with some amusing moments (especially when Dandy and QT opened the door to Meow's room, saw what was inside, and closed it right away) and some great animation. It never ceases to amaze me how great Space Dandy's animation is. The second half is when this really shined though, going into a really quirky and enjoyable take on the details behind zombie living. Loved the stuff about how to stave off rot and how to get money by fleecing insurance companies. Perfect way to close it on Romero's name too. Kimiko Ueno did good here.

Well if something was pandering too your interests, it probably wouldn't seem like a bad thing.
And I stuck around for the entirety of Captain Earth based on pretty much nothing but the Mech Transformation sequence...

I think this was the first good episode for me. Next episode, too.
