What impressive reporting. No follow-up question about the 10% GPU time sliced that what returned? Seriously, how does someone who covers videogames, and is publishing an Xbox One, accept an answer regarding the removal of Kinnect as pertains to why it is still 900p that only addresses CPU?

The Xbox hardware is what it is, so I've set my expectations to 900p as baseline for it's games. If the game has tearing or jaggies or slowdown then I'd consider it technically sub-par, but all of the footage I've seen looks smooth and crisp.

Fully expected but man...increasing the level of detail by having it at 900p? So backwards.

I'll still enjoy the game but its clear Xbox one is simply holding games back.

This news came out a while ago (four months or so) and if I remember correctly, they wanted to keep all of the cartoon like details such as the onomatopoeias and the high enemy count/crowds which I'm assuming is what they meant by "details".

I love those details so if they could have only been in the game via setting it to 900p then I'm perfectly fine with that.

I:SS doesn't push anywhere near the amount of enemies on screen. Looks great, but it takes a ton of processing power to put that amount of enemies on screen.

And the obvious bit where SO is multiplayer with as many as eight players in addition to all of those enemies in what looks to be a much, much larger and more interactive world. I mean, Seattle in I:SS is probably a small fraction of the size Sunset City looks to be, especially when you look at how high up the city traversal goes in pre-release videos. There's no comparison between them, but I'm sure it will come up time and time again.

Just kiddin'. I don't care as long as it's fun. It just looks fun as shit.

Agreed. It was an obvious troll post.

Game looks so fun and the only technical thing that I care about is a stable framerate so def hope that's a locked 30 fps.

Maybe im easy to please but I think the game looks gorgeous too.

I already know that we will have people come in here and complain about this, but I'm ok with this. I'm just hoping that they mean that it's 30FPS locked

I'm pretty sure game is 30fps locked. E3 previews from Eurogamer ( IIRC ), they told there was frame drops. Especially when grinding.

Id expect drops. This is a pretty ambitious game with a lot going on. 99% of games do not hold their target frame rate 100% of the time it seems.

I'm surprised the Xbox One can't render this at 1080p...It's not an impressive looking game by any stretch of the word. I could understand Ryse at 900p but this ?

ESRAM is to be blamed.

:-/ Shame that even exclusive games year after launch cannot be optimized to work at 1080p.

This is also an open world game with a lot more going on on-screen.

I'm actually way more interested in seeing a detailed run through the character creator. That's where this game is going to live and die with me.

There's a minute or two of the customization menu for you.

Gonna bounce out because I can see this thread devolving into the usual. I don't mind the framerate (I'd love for it to be 60fps, but I don't expect it from an open world console game.) and I really couldn't care less about resolution. Sooooo...yehap.

Gimmie this game, on a silver platter with a bag of skins.

The game looks very promising but does it have a chance of appearing anywhere else besides the xbox1 (pc,ps3/4,wiiu, etc.) ?

This game is still going to be amazing.

It's dead rising, crackdown and crayons crayon box of strange colors all melded together.

Ryse isn't an open world game and it's very linear in comparison to how Sunset Overdrive looks.
