I thought the upgrade that is currently selected just has more of a range penalty and recoil reduction so the net effect of the highlighted one makes it seem backwards. The mod effects the base range/stability which you can't see due to one mod always being activated.
Personally I love the Thorn in PvP, and there's a buff coming to it. I'd honestly say pick the weapon you think you'll use the most. I will say he Invective is absurdly powerful for pvp when fully upgraded. I can't speak for the Bad Juju since I haven't upgraded mine, but I've heard some people say it shines when fully upgraded. Tbh you really can't go wrong.
Boy nothing more fun then doing a max level strike and having both partners quit on start. Solo'd dust palace all the way through to the last Psion boss left before it matchmaked another in. lol

But at least in Halo with regular load outs you had to rely on skill since everybody started out the same, unless they grabbed a special weapon.
Level up your rares and max your marks. Buy legendaries from the factions and level those up until you get to 25. Once at 25 you can do all the high level 28 stuff where there's a really good chance for exotic/legendary drops.
upgrading rares and legendaries gives you more light? I don't have any rare like that. to me also it seems that 100-150 vanguard marks = doing those strikes over and over again, not much different from what I wrote.
and what's the high level stuff supposed to be? I'm assuming heroic strikes and the current queen's missions?
I love that the weapons I use in PvE are getting nerfed for PvP balance, and then shit like FR's and then this thing are still in there. Just separate the goddamn modes Bungie.

You mean camping the special weapon spawn right? That's what every Halo "vet" I saw bitched about being changed for 4. Oh noooooo I can't camp the shotgun/sniper anymore! Please. There's no skill in knowing spawn points. Skill with a gun will always be better. The only plus point was when specials were so rare that everyone played with ARs, and it was truly fair. Then everyone had a good time. But there'd always be that "badass" sitting on the sniper spawn.
What do I spend my glimmer on? I have a bunch of boss items that give glimmer but I am maxed out. No rare fusion rifles in stock, so I honestly don't know what to buy.
Do the Nexus strike (on Venus), it's the fastest one in my opinion.
Whenever I need to complete a Strike without dying (for certain Bounties) I still prefer the Devil's Lair, though. It's longer but the boss fights are less dangerous.
I actually find myself dying all the time at devil's lair. Being level 26 with a suros makes me very overconfident. Next thing I know I'm surrounded...
Okay, I'll do my best to break down the play for you.....
Three at the back of the room, same each time, to get teleported. One of these needs to always take the relic and clear the mobs, the other two deal with oracles. Cleanse (left bumper iirc) once you teleport (one at a time to avoid glitches) back to the vault. The other three run defence, clearing up exploding supplicants and opening the correct portal side til the other three return. Then unload your damage-modifier of the week weapon (currently sol-based, snipers are best) against Atheons tummy. Rinse and repeat for win.
Everything else is practise. My roundup of choice was Suros (AR), sol sniper (any) and The Culling (Sol-based machine gun for mopping/extra damage output).
Sunsingers are recommended for support based on their grenades, this week anyway. Varies with bonus modifier-per-week.

No skill in knowing spawn points, but there were game types later on with no weapons on the map, or SWAT where it was single headshot kills with BR. Or Slayer Pro with no radar or Hud (From what I recall). There were still plenty of game types to warrant skill. I can't tell what you're arguing in favor of here, but I do hope it isn't Destiny's broken PvP.

you just need to watch that video and realize that there is no skill involed at all. it's not hard
Really what it boils down to, what PvP boils down to who can hit the trigger first. That's all. The person playing simply has better reflexes then the other person and sees them first. Give me my Universal Remote any time and I can whoop his ass.

I don't think I will ever be getting all raid gear but maybe I'll do the raid again another week.
Question: if I get a legendary message (gift) at the Postmaster and I dont accept it. Can I wait until the patch to retrieve it before going to Crypartch? I know they said whatever engram you have on hand wont count or something but does it apply in this case?
Absolutely nothing good to say about PvP in this game. I have just now, put down the controller, fully shut down my Xbox, and decided to do my PowerPoint that isn't due for another month because I know I will enjoy much more.
It's like that atrocious PvP part of the legendary cloak quest in WoW all over again.
It's what I'm using, I prefer the autorifles and had a level 16 blue until I was able to buy this exotic autorifle. I am level 27 and from around 15 when I got that autorifle, I never found another blue or better one, not a single one. Seems almost a guarantee that any weapon for sale for a few strange coins will automatically be the current most popular considering its an immense grind to buy a legendary or luck... Blame the shit loot system, unless that's what you and everyone calling out this weapon are doing.

Ah I remember SWAT from 4, that was a very fun game mode! Never played Slayer Pro but it sounds like CoD's hardcore, which I did enjoy (to a certain extent) for a time.
I'm not really in favour of Destiny's PvP thanks to the ridiculous amount of broken weapons, and how apparently every weapon needs to be balanced against a six shooter, but I'm not a fan of old-school halo's every-gun-but-pistol/AR-should-be-a-pickup as it just invites abuse and camping (and bloody hell did it).
I just want a fairly balanced PvP where my AR isn't nerfed beyond use and FRs aren't ridiculous OHKO regardless of aim. Not sure Destiny will every achieve it, between the variety of weapon classes and the number of unique weapons.
PvE weapons being balanced separately to PvP weapons sounds like the best bet to me.

Maybe if they put a on/off for the focused skill that kills the fire-rate... I tried to kill the boss on the first strike with the Suros and it takes a eternity.
