At the time, this was a heavily hyped game that really under delivered.
Oh man! Don't say that, I thought it was even better than the Genesis X-Men games.
The Firemen!
-The Adventures of Batman & Robin
I never hear much about this one but I remember really enjoying it. It even had a mild amount of customization before levels.

Looney Tunes B-Ball
Try to play 2-player with this. It's pretty fun.
I tried so very hard to like this game, but it just couldn't hold up to Mario Kart in my eyes.
I remember this being a fun game back in the day.
I remember this game getting some review buzz upon release. Definitely fits the bill for underrated with fans, never heard much about it over the years but good fun.Uniracers/Unirally

Mystical Ninja Geomon.
Had no idea what the story was about because I got the JP version, but man this game is super fun. You go from side scrolling, to RPG town beat them up, to power rangers like boss mech battles. A single picture doesn't do the game justice AT ALL.
Favorite game on SNES.Run Saber

Like a super low rent Strider.
I guess the original Ken Griffey is well liked, although folks seem to like the sequel more (I did not). I consider this game underrated because it may be my favorite baseball video game. Well done Nintendo!
I remember playing Legend at Summer CES one year, really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the following as a kid:
The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse
Run Saber
YES!
This game was so awesome. Great graphics, great music, solid platforming. The "outfit" scheme was fun and at the time, since I hadn't played that many other games, I found it unique and refreshing.
But those were pretty terrible too!
I really enjoyed the following as a kid:
The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse
Goof Troop (not great, but it was fun for a kid)
Captain America and the Avengers
Loving all these "underrated" threads.
Makes me wanna go and dig up my consoles and buy super expensive rare games.

I had Mutant Apocalypse back in the day, and despite being a huge X-Men fan, I never really liked it. I remember being able to climb walls using Wolverine's claws was really cool, and it had Psylocke, who was one of my faves back then.Oh man! Don't say that, I thought it was even better than the Genesis X-Men games.
Hahaha, awesome.
There was some sort of legal issue that led to the game being recalled IIRC.I actually came to post this because I thought no one probably played it. No one I know has even heard of it
An Under rated SNES game that I found and enjoyed is Live-A-Live, an Japanese only title made by Squaresoft(before it became SquareEnix) which came out in 1994, the same year for FF3/6 came out, which is mixture of a RPG/Strat. game with its battle system(one of the most unique RPG battle systems for the SNES, in which you move in a grid and have to choose where to be at on the grid to have your attacks to come out, and also how to avoid getting hit by your enemies.
The story has eight different story arcs to it, with stories like: A caveman saving his woman, kung fu master trying to find a worthy pupil, ninja trying to assassinate a emporor, two cowboys trying to save a town from bandits, an cyberpunk mecha story, an wrestling trying to become the best in the world, 2001 a space odyssey type story, and a story tying all it all together.
It never came out in english, but there is a fan translation patch that translated all the game into english, but I do believe there are minor translation errors for what I know. So, if you want to play it, you would need to find a copy of the game, dump the rom, and apply the patch to play it.
Also there is are a couple downside to the game, the graphic suck on it(It was the same year that FF3/6 came out) and it shows that they didn't put enough time with the graphics at all, and some of the stories are not that good for the arcs, and the battle system is very weird to get uses to at first. Also, you WILL need a guide for it because the translation messed up some parts of the game, so you won't be able to figure how to advance without one, just letting you know.
But, it has some amazing stuff to it, the battle system is the most amazing thing I have seen in a SNES RPG game, and some of the story arcs are amazing, and the ninja assassin story arc is amazing, with you can fight every single enemy in the story or try an Metal Gear Solid approach to it and avoid killing as much enemies as possible to it, and make the game more of a challenge because you will low level trying to beat the final boss in the story so, you can make a challenge mode for that story.
Also, it has some amazing boss music that I love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Nmc84Noos
Live-A-Live is an amazing under rated title!
Think I played this on the PSX and liked it quite a bit at that time. It was the best I could get after I went Sony after SNES...Mario Kart SNES is still the best I've played.
I remember this being a fun game back in the day.
