No, spaniards are immature because they will buy whatever Sony sells at whatever price. If Sony releases a machine for 600 euros and a poor catalog they will buy it anyways. It's pretty sad actually.

EDIT: i'm ok with Sony doing great in Spain, not so much with people being so close minded towards other brands.

Maybe they are open minded and still don't give a shit.

ITT people celebrating the inexistance of any sort of competition in some markets.

In my opinion, sales threads for such niche markets as spain should be banned on GAF. Consumer base is too inmature and single minded here.

PS3 outsold Wii here at 600€ price.
NDS was burning HW figures, but then SW sales figures were noexistent due to rampant piracy. Flashcarts attachement ratios were crazy close to 1:1.

I can see a lot of people in this thread that would be happy if MS just cut supply and drop support. Hoping for them the best of lucks with their wishings would sound like a chinese curse.

Insulting a whole country because they're not buying your console of choice?! Are you two for real?!

That's a new low.

1:7? That's hard.

Most entertaining match of the entire world cup. Back on topic: That's quite a lot.

People got the PS3 that expensive back on the day because they knew it would deliver it in the future, and it sure did... you can't blame anyone for choosing that console.

It's about consumer's trust, and that their home consoles don't lose support even after releasing a new console.

This thread went downhill faster than expected...

Anyway, reposting from a couple of pages back, it was the last message of page 4 (or 2) and some people could have missed it.

You sound very mature and unbiased.

Facts don't end there. Additional stuff:

- It surpassed expectations.
- They now want to sell up to 700,000 before February.
- That's obviously 300,000+ for Christmas-Reyes campaign, or pretty much doubling current figure.
- Based on our estimations, Xbox One should be around 50K now and Wii U reaching 100K.
- No sales data on PS Vita.

This basically confirms Microsoft screwed it up big time. They did it very well with the 360

I'd forgotten just how crazy the split was back in gen 6.

I expect it to reach a similar split this gen.

Started out 3:1, now it's 7:1, it'll be 10:1 by March 2015 and 15:1 by 2016.

Not seeing how your post is any better than what you accused him of.

He knows perfectly what he said and how it was insulting, and just plays coy. His English is perfectly find, and just for more info, English is neither my mother tongue so when I write on it I take extra care.

Heshinsi

"playing" dumb? unpossible
Xbone should be at 6m sold through

Add up NDP numbers, factor in international numbers while remembering that the console isn't doing so hot anywhere outside of USA/UK, and you begin to realise just how unlikely that 6m sold through figure is.

7:1. Okay. This is pretty big.

Yeah, but at the same time I'm not very surprised considering:

1.- X1 reveal was a disaster
2.- The attractive price of the PS4
3.- Spain has always been a very good territory for Sony. The Sony fan base is really big
and annoying

The fact is that nobody in Spain (or in Europe) cares about the AmericaBox. Sony screwed it with PS3 and MS did it very well with 360, but it's the opposite right now. XB1 seems to be even more America-focused, so it's normal no one wants it here. Also, PS4 is cheaper and more powerful.

The salt is real with these kind of posts.

Yeah and if Sony see this they'll get too confident and delay their system software updates and never improve network services to the impeccable standard of Xbox Live.

Oh, please. Like Sony aren't doing anything about it right now.

Wow, so:

PS4 to Xbone ratio - 7:1
WiiU to Xbone ratio - 2:1

Go go WiiU.

To those saying, "Spain is Sonyland; XBone never had a chance there anyway," you should keep in mind that while that may be true, Spain still made the cut in to Tier 1. Meaning, however dismal their outlook in Spain, it's likely to be much worse in most of the rest of the world.

So we should ban these threads because these sales results are hurting your feelings?
Well, sorry guys....

Oh and guess who's really too inmature and single minded here.

Nah. Immature Spaniards have no concept of how first class feels. Plus Microsoft has China in the bag.

this is a joke.

I hope you two were joking or being sarcastic, because what a pair of sad, sad posts otherwise.

The way I would frame how best to look at Spain in regards to the XB1 would be taking into account Spain was in fact a Tier 1 country and given a 20M euro marketing launch campaign budget [which was over 500 euro spent on marketing for each XB1 sold in Spain 2013 YTD]. I think it's fairly clear that whatever MS's expectations were for XB1 in Spain, this was not it. I doubt they would assume they could pull 360 numbers but you don't spend that kind of marketing and focus on launching there first to garner 50k sales in a year

Microsoft just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Spanish culture (I'm an expert), but immaturity and single-mindedness are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being mature. If you screw someone over in Spain, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the Spanish public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase The XboxOne , nor will they purchase any of Microsoft's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Microsoft has alienated an entire market with this move.

Microsoft, publicly apologize and cancel the XboxOne for Spain or you can kiss your business goodbye.
