Any bb players that can break down the general differences between lambda and nu in 2.0? I played a little nu before. I imagine the mode change stuff is probably gone.

That match vs Valmaster reminded me that it's a shame nobody's got around to uploading the sets Justin had after the tournament. He played Pro Fluke (3-0, Rufus vs Fuerte), MBR (Justin won, might have been 3-1?, Rufus vs Akuma) and Andreas (2-3, Rufus vs Rufus, insane match).

Pro Fluke really had Justin sweating and I don't think the score speaks fairly. The Andreas match was nuts - Andreas is really on top form now and I think he's going to be a serious threat at DHW if he goes.

In other EU FGC news, this just got thrown up by Esmond Fong, head of MBA:

Hi all

This is a formal message to many of the FGC and what I am about to say is important and I will need all the help and trust I could get from each and every one of you.

Recently all UK tournament organisers held an online meeting in regards to certain individuals using racist language online in games of Street Fighter and it has come to a point where physical threats were being made which in turn can spoil any tournament and event in the UK.

We fully understand that the FGC is easily prone to trolling and online bullying and we ask many of you to take a stand. If abuse borders on racism, please do not retaliate by being racist back. Instead please save those messages and forward them to your relevant scene leader ie myself or a fellow senior MBA member and we will have it looked at for you

Cases like these get ignored however we want to take a stand against such behaviour as the FGC is small as it is.

Any individual that involves themselves in physical disputes in our events will instantly be banned from all future FGC events (not just MBA) you have been warned. Not only will you spoil it for yourselves, but you will spoil it for the community as a whole. No venue will allow a community that encourages racism and thug like behaviour.

While we agree that FGC is all about competitiveness and hype, we do not condone the competitiveness to be taken to personal / physical level. We understand this message may come across as something from school however we want you to know that we want all members to feel they are part of a welcoming and safe community

This is not just MBA's community, its your community! The FGC community involves a lot of hard work and dedication from all tournament organisers, I ask you lot to be more understanding and support your communities by stamping out any inappropriate behaviour.

Hype is allowed, name calling is allowed (to a certain extent for extra hype) racism and physical assault isn't.

You are not allowed to behave like this in the work place, it is the same in this community.

I thank you guys for taking the time to read this and please enjoy the games for what they are. The FGC isn't here for you to vent out your life fustrations, it is the opposite. The FGC is here for you to be part of a community and for you guys to enjoy friendly competition and interact with individuals that share the same interest.

Our Fight Series is on the 1st November, if you see or spot any inappropriate behaviour, please speak to myself or any MBA member.

There's not much (if any) open racism in the UK scene, but I can definitely see some people saying dumb salty garbage and I think this kind of concerted say-no-to-racism stuff is really important.

Seems like a weird anniversary to celebrate. Just wait for the 5 year anniversary of MVC3 in a year, I don't think you need to celebrate an expansion all that much.

Or better yet probably wait until the game is out of EVO to make a proper eulogy thread. I did make one of those when Capcom confirmed no more Marvel patch.

Considering the last 3 big tournaments were won with Zero on point I would say Lightning Loop gif would be most appropriate.

I don't know why that keeps happening. I hold down-left and go down-right. Maybe the circle pad is making things weird. My teleport control is bad, but not that bad. -_-

and I still beat you, don't hate me for this... I still enjoy matches with my dominican bro
. Do you think when you play? I think your just impatient from all the matches we've played in the past. I'm willing to wait 50 SF seconds for you to screw up and punish you. You gotta be able to do the same or just have gdlk pokes/footsie game or reads.

of course it's easy when a single zangief spd takes off 40% of my life :B

everything is easy when you can end a match in 3-4 moves !

I just realized, is there any way to tell if your opponent is using equipment for stat bonuses in Smash 4?

I always leave customs on if people want to change their moveset, but I'm giving people the benefit of the doubt that that's all they're doing.

there'd be a patch if capcom didn't screw up everything with the release (leaking characters early, etc.). Marvel is very controlling of its brands and it wasn't a suprise that nothing happened.

Because they aren't on ggpo.

GGPO is barely supported. Uses an old ass version of Final Burn Alpha. The newer version has the frame skip fix, and actually has vsync options, but we are using an ancient piece of shit. It would be nice to have new shit to play with the possibility of naomi support so I can play houkoto no ken, but that's just a dream that will never come true.
