Is it port begging to want this one X1? I just really don't want to plug my 360 back in and I never got around to playing this one.
The crazy part is that it was only released on PS2 10 years ago, so the fact that it's only on 360 is just strange.
When did this get price dropped to $4? It was $15, a whopping $5 more than all other PS2 Classics.

weird platform choice but ill take it. San Andreas is the best GTA bar none. IV and V dont even come close.

PS4? I dont know.. the base game still is PS2 era. i think a PS360 update will also not look that much better than the PC version (unmodded).

Yeah it would have been great to have a good GTA game release in 2008.
The PS2 version San Andreas is still regularly in the top ten classics downloads on PSN.

PayneReactor was teasing a rockstar/Remedy announcement too in a few weeks. Maybe they are bring all of their back catalog over? Or could just be an IOS port of 2.

If it was just to 360, it's probably just because it's a super easy port to go from PC and tablet to 360.
Seeing as this really isn't any sort of official announcement and just an article by IGN referring a customer service page (which has a history of making gaffes, errors, earlier leaks, etc), it could just as easily be that it's planned for all version and somehow the 360 version just got leaked before the official Rockstar-front-page-newswire-etc press release.

I'm in the process of selling my 360, and not looking back. I LOVE GTA: SA, but I've played that game to death. I think that if it was coming to current-gen at 1080p that I'd mess with it at the right price, but no way am I keep an old box, which I've also played to death, to re-play it.

The PC version crashes alot of some people? Always worked fine for me with and without the downgrade patch. Try downgrading if you haven't

Yeah this doesn't seem like an announcement. Pretty sure it would come out on all last gen... but I would be surprised if it didn't come to PS4/XBO.

You do know that 720P is HD right? 720p and 1080P are both HD. And there is no such thing as "Full HD". That is just a marketing term.

Why? Maybe they just announced the Xbox version because the achievment list leaked and are holding off on the PS3 version. It's also in beta phase on steam with controller support, soundtrack fixes and achievements.
Think that was more due to people not really being interesting in that style of GTA game. The other two GTA games did quite well on PSP.
