Why the fuck are people responding with doctored footage to legitimate questions about the game. How is this sort of open trolling allowed? I've seen several people cite this miles guy as simply trolling this game and others with FUD and he's still not banned?

I think it's pretty obvious that the footage is doctored without being told. Even if some people get fooled, who cares. It's a joke. You seem way too emotionally attached to this game.

Are Fable and State of Decay "BIG" or even MS owned IPs? Also does it really matter, I mean, is Sunset Overdrive "BIG"? I would imagine they are big ie, more meaningful to different audiences, and I am pretty certain that the audiences on Xbox One and PC are not the same along with different games appealing to each audience to varying degrees

State of Decay sold 2 million copies with the majority of sales on 360 and Fable is definitely big. Fable 2&3 sold 4 million+ and the original sold 3 million iirc.

Eh, really? I don't see this being the kind of game that makes big money on merchandise. I guess you would do it, in the off chance it did blow up and become the next big thing? So if it does, you have the rights to it? Could just be something that is a mart decision regardless.

If the game does well and I don't see them cash-in with some kind of comic book, cartoon (adult swim), or whatever... I'll be very surprised, that'd be a missed opportunity.

Come on, MS just stopped making OG Xbox games and stopped selling the system when the 360 launched - Live support and all else was there for years and they've stated that the 360 will be supported for years to come.

Ms has actually been really good with continuing support for old products, not just games, when customers still value it.

That wouldn't make any sense at all. How would you propose they rework the technology for Xbox 360? It's an ambitious open world game designed on an engine that is likely not particularly compatible with such ancient hardware.

This isn't like Titanfall which was built on the aging Source engine (where PS3 and 360 were original targets). There's no way they could pull off a decent version of this game on 360 without massive compromises.

I don't have favourites. I love all my consoles equally. SSO threads have simply been more fun to post in because of the all concern about the game and its supposedly slow traversal, empty game world, lacking mass appeal, etc.

Ms has actually been really good with continuing support for old products, not just games, when customers still value it.

If I remember correctly they had to stop supporting it, something about the deal they made with Nvidia or something (graphics chip). They couldn't really do much about it without paying a lot for it. It launched in 2001 and was pretty much over in 2005. That was very short to me. I loved last gen and it's long life. I know people would like to get a new system every 5 years but that is a bit quick for me. We're already at 1 year with this new console group.

Look at other XBO exclusives not developed by MS internal studios and where the IP is not owned by MS. Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, Ryse. They all ended up on PC eventually, and so will likely this one.

But it's not a big deal. Doesn’t take anything away from your enjoyment of this game this month.

This will be a generation where we may see a bit more exclusive console games coming to PC, remember how quick they got Forza ported to PC ..just for an example i guess is why they did that but it just goes to show that these new consoles are much closer to PC architecture this time around that porting these games gotta be much more efficient and costs far less to do these port jobs to PC but that's just my opinion, of course.

It does seems to be the general perception of neogaf by other communities, wether the perception is true or false... I don't think this notion is came out of spontaneous generation, narratives are created because people perceptions based on actions and words.

it is one thing to express your opinion about something you don't like, it is another present assumptions as facts and to wish the failure of a platform you are not a fanboy of.
