I'm definitely leaving. I mean I've only been in the US for 10 years of my life anyway. Shit, Red Cross won't even let me donate blood.
My trips to Detroit are what really did me in i think. At least Katrina was a natural disaster. Detroit looked like a country trying to cover up a reactor explosion.

The only reason I slept late is because of an early morning escapade with an old friend. It was worth it, but it threw my schedule all off and shit.

23.

But, I can't find a single game in which Kinect is functional that wasn't a dance game or used anything other than shouting in-game commands...

Kinect is good for a drunken laugh.

This? Not so much...

EDIT: Damnit Dreams-Visions! SEGA really were the kings of useless shit though.

I really REALLY wanted to like the super scope 6.

Same. And that shit just never, ever delivered. The included set of mini-games were cool enough but there was just nothing after that.

Also, the move The Wizard hyped me up so hard for a Power Glove. The shit was awful IRL.

Also, that movie was nothing but a long Nintendo commercial. But I loved every second as a kid.

What in the nastiest of fucks is that shit?

Bad memories is what that is. Don't ask and we won't have to tell.

So for those of us who are adamant about staying in the US and upset others would entertain the idea, I pose the question "What are you going to do while your here?" Because while some scoff at the idea of leaving the country for the possibility of something better, I think we all agree this isn't the country we want to live in.

So what is it? Are you going to take some active steps to assisting the (admittedly slow if not straight up lethargic) progress in this country, or you just going to just continue business as usual and hope it's not you or yours next? I ask not to judge, but honestly because I'm trying to figure that out for myself. Because if I have to be stuck in this country, I'd like to at least say I helped make it a little less shitty in some small, tangible way.

But on the flip side, you can only access Slow's BBQ in Detroit.

The Fallout lifestyle is worth it if you can go to Slow's a couple times a month. Their BBQ is life-changing. If you're within 200mi of Detroit, you need to make it a point to go.

No bullshit. Best ribs I've had in the US, and I've been around.

Maybe having a military background makes people want to leave the US more.

Possibly. There's that feel of broader horizons. Nothing like seeing another country and how different and alien it can feel. Getting over stigmas and xenophobia is something commonplace with most cats who've served. That pack up mentality runs hard.

After all the recent controversies, I wonder if Bill Cosby is still a member of the Dark Crusaders?

lol at the poll results

I will say this, Kinect can be randomly finicky for seemingly no reason at times, which is why one person can be perfectly fine with it, and someone else can have the worst experience ever. I remember with the first version, there was a specific pair of black jeans I had that the Kinect hated. It would always think my legs were moving even when I was perfectly still, so in the game I was working on (which used leg motions for kicking, jumping, and dashing) it was pretty much unplayable.

But it was only that one pair of jeans that caused issues for me. I have no idea if it was the fabric, the laundry detergent I used, or whatever, but it was strange as hell. I also do remember motions that would work perfectly fine for me, but for someone else it would be completely unresponsive. So you have to either:

1) make a bunch of cumbersome calibration screens to work with different body types (not very user friendly)
2) try to auto-calibrate in some way to fit everyone's sensitivities (which inevitably still fails for some people regardless)
3) make the type of game with only grand sweeping gestures, and nothing super granular (which limits the types of games you can make)

So yeah.

I have to imagine that sub took ten minutes out of his day to make that acronym topical and sensical.

Reform the political structure. Begin preparing and writing laws for future technologies like AI and bionics. The wealth gap is a global issue, as is climate change, but America is a huge element in both, and we need positive change in this country on both counts in order to be an example for the rest of the world. Foster growth in clean energy. Probably most importantly for the short term, improve civilian infrastructure nationwide.

These are some of the big picture avenues I want to help foster positive growth within.

bitch I'm taking calls.
It's a fucking sub-woofer.

Literally, that is all it is. It "let you feel the action".
The commercial.

Me and my friend use joke people going to have heart attack from it

Wow, they really just shipped out a sub-woofer with some straps to put on a kid's chest and called it a peripheral? That's pretty bad. In fact I don't know if that can be beat for "worst peripheral" considering the sheer stupidity.

Dude gets murdered on video and his assailant gets away scott free just because he's a cop. FFS America :/

I always wondered where the Electric Boogaloo reference came from and it wasn't until a conversation with my cousin this past week where I learned. Just as I had legit never heard of that particular movie before (though I heard the sequel meme suffix all the time), she had never heard it used in any context outside that specific movie. It was weird.
