1. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U):

Because it's the safest bet I feel, that it will be a game that has high polish and fun gameplay while also being ambitious and has a high playability and game time. I'm not big on Wii U and I have only played MK8 because nothing interests me, but Zelda U does and even when Zelda games were bad like Skyward Sword they still made my GOTY of their respective release years.

2. The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt:
Well, that downgrade followed by a third delay really hit me in the stomach I felt, but who doesn't love a huge RPG you can spend 100+ hours in and simultaneously has likeable characters and a great plot to boot. I was a big fan of The Witcher 2 and I consider it to be the best RPG made since Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age Origins, and it also far outshines anything Bioware has done since Mass Effect 2. Somehow, even with the delay and somewhat tame graphics I feel like this game will deliver.

3. Metal Gear Solid 5 - The Phantom Pain:
I'm a new Metal Gear fan but aside from Mass Effect no franchise has grabbed me so instantly after playing just one game in the series, which was MGS3 for 3DS. I loved the writing, humor and stealth gameplay so much that I instantly went out and found MGS4 for PS3 and then downloaded MGS2 and MGS5 Ground Zeroes too. I'm really excited for the 5th numbered entry and Kojima has never failed IMO, so he won't this time and this game has, what, 5+ years of development to back it up? It's gotta be good!

4. The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask 3D:
While it's not a new game, it's my favorite Zelda game next to Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time and even if it doesn't overall outshine the other two, it has that special haunting and enigmatic feeling that stays inside you weeks after you're done with it. Even if it loosely reuses the basic Zelda formula of "Beat X dungeons and beat the final boss" it deviates a lot from any established Zelda formula by being 50% about side-questing in a game-world where every second of an in-game hour is different from the other, and even if you'll be re-experiencing the same 3 in-game days over and over there's no way you're gonna see every detail the game has in one playthrough, especially not since it's been remastered for 3DS and is said to have new content in it too!

5. Batman Arkham Knight:
I'm still not completely sure Rocksteady know what they're doing with this concept but it's reassurring to see it's after all built on the foundation of Arkham Asylum and City by borrowing the same core gameplay, only with some new Fear Takedowns and an extensive use of the Batmobile. I'm not into the idea of the latter gameplay feature because I think it hurts the Batman tone and atmosphere greatly but I can't deny that the game already looks polished and fun, and last but not least, it's fucking gorgeous! It's by far the most next-gen thing I've seen yet next to...

6. Silent Hills:
If P.T. is anything to judge by there are two features the product it foreshadows is gonna nail, and those are 1) Amazing photorealistic environmental visuals and 2) Disturbing and haunting memories that stick with you when you turn off the console. What I'm even more excited for though, is that I've never played a Silent Hill game and I know the final game is probably gonna stay more true to what Silent Hill is about than what P.T. showed, and with Guillermo Del Toro on board I'm sure we're gonna see some sick-ass monster-designs that are not scary to look at because of how gory they are, but because of how twisted, disturbing and downright nauseating they look and the aspect of psychological horror is something I'm very excited for, especially if the story is as good as P.T. but on a bigger and more serious scale.

7. Bloodborne:
After Dark Souls 2 and a bit of DS1 as well as Demon's Souls I've unfortunately "Souls'd" myself a bit out, but that doesn't change the fact that 2015 holds a new spiritual successor that I will inevitably play anyway and luckily it seems like, while it borrows a lot from DS, it's also unique in its creative direction as well as some refinements to combat that I think are welcome. The graphics look great and as usual the atmosphere is haunting but has a sense of discovery that not even the latest open-world games tend to master. It'll likely be amazing.

8. Uncharted 4 - A Theif's End:
While I'm not big on Neil Druckmann's direction (not much to judge by, but he wanted to kill Elena in 2 and he made TLoU after all) the game looks slick. I'm not gonna fall for some of the tricks shown at PSX this month but like with TLoU I don't doubt that the full game, while not nearly as organic or fluid, will still have some really solid gameplay and I'm ALWAYS up for some Naughty Dog cinematic storytelling... but on the other hand I know this won't blow me away or anything even if the graphcis are amazing because after all neither Uncharted 3 nor TLoU really did anything to impress me with their game-design, only their storytelling.

9. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate:
A new Monster Hunter is usually just some gameplay-uppidy with same monsters and a couple of new ones and some new key features but I'm getting this because it's basically MH3 but with Online which I'm looking forward to.

10. SOMA
Not much is known about his indie-horror game from Frictional Games except the fact that it's set in a sci-fi setting and that it will probably be as horryfying as Amnesia: The Dark Descent which was the company's flagship game.

1. Legend of Zelda Wii U : I'm always pumped for every new Zelda. Whether it makes good on the hype is another story. Still, hard not to be impressed with what's been show/told.
2. Uncharted 4 : My blockbuster of the year.
3. Mighty No. 9 : I adore the Mega Man series. Can't wait to see how Inafune's new IP turns out.
4. Ratchet & Clank : Re-imagining of a series I love.
5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : MGS franchise has lost a bit of it's hold on me, but will definitely look to place this when I get a chance.
6. Rime : Ico x Wind Waker? Sign me up!
7. BloodBorne : Never got into those Demon/Dark Souls games, but I'm up for a challenge.
8. The Order: 1886 : Really don't know much about this...just dig the atmosphere.
9. Batman: Arkham Knight : Kinda had my fill of the Batman games, but still good fun anyway.
10. Titan Souls : Don't know much about this. They mentioned Zelda-ish, so I'm interested.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X : The original Xenoblade was my Game of the Generation, so it's no surprise at all that this is my current most anticipated game. I can't wait to explore that beautiful world and find out what crazy story Takahashi has came up with this time.

2. Zelda U : Zelda is one of my all-time favorite series in all of gaming, so yeah, I'm pretty damn excited for this one, too. I had a hard time deciding which game I wanted to put at number 1, but Xenoblade barely squeaks out ahead.

3. Uncharted 4 : I was a big fan of the previous games and I love me some Nathan Drake, so... Definitely looking forward to this.

4. Bloodborne : I love all the Souls games and this looks very similar to those, so... yeah, can't wait.

5. Final Fantasy XV : Extremely doubtful this will release in 2015 which is why it's not higher up on the list.

6. Final Fantasy Type 0 HD : Having never played the original release, I'm pretty happy they are remastering this game and releasing it on the new systems. I have heard pretty good things (and some mixed reactions, too), so I hope it's fun.

7. Star Fox U : I loved the previous games, but I haven't played them in many many years, so I'm curious what they are doing with the new one.

8. Batman: Arkham Knight : They previous games were pretty damn fun, and the new one looks cool, too.

9. Metal Gear Solid V : I used to be a huge fan of the series, but I've sort of stopped being as hyped for them. I'm not even sure why. I'll check this game out, though.

10. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D : I was never a big fan of the original release, but I'm going to give it another try when it releases early next year!

1. No Man's Sky : Hype is stupidly overflowing like a Alka-seltzer-chewing rabid dog's frothing jowls. It looks like the greatest thing; here's hoping.

2. Persona 5 : It's going to be great. It just is.

3. Bloodborne : I can't mentally put it on the same level as Demon's/Dark Souls yet, but I feel like it'll get there.

4. Rime : Digging the Ico/SotC-ish stylings.

5. Firewatch : Highly likely that these guys will deliver something wonderful.

6. Life Is Strange : After Remember Me, I'm psyched for anything DONTNOD is doing.

7. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Dude, it's MGS fucking Vee.

8. Pillars of Eternity : Backed it, looks like exactly what I wanted it to be.

9. Tearaway Unfolded : Been holding out replaying this on Vita because it deserves to be on a big screen at higher resolution. Fantastic game.

10. The Witness : Really liked Braid, and this looks lovely and intriguing.

No release date for Vane (project announced from some former Team Ico folks) so no vote, but I'm really excited to see what it becomes.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain - Ground Zeroes was short and sweet, I can't wait to play this.
2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U - What has been shown in early stages looks really promising. Here's hoping it actually comes out in 2015.
3. Xenoblade Chronicles X - I missed the boat on the original, it looks to be filled with content.
4. Star Fox U - My favorite franchise, so it'll be high despite the little that is known about it.
5. Persona 5 - I've never played a Persona game, since I only have a PS3 for Sony consoles. So I'll see what the big deal is.
6. Resident Evil Revelations 2 - I actually liked the first Revelations a lot on 3DS, so this will do well.
7. Splatoon - I love the design of the game, and I think this is local and online, so that's a plus.
8. Yakuza 5 - Another franchise that I haven't tried but look interested in.
9. Yoshi's Wooly World - Yoshi's usually pretty good, and I'm gonna be interested to see how this plays in motion with the yarn graphics.
10. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - I think this could be a sleeper hit. It's strange that this might be the only game that really takes advantage of the gamepad this year. Multiplayer is gonna make this really fun!

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: This open world looks unreal. Gerald is such a strong protagonist, and what CD Projekt Red managed to do with Sapkowski’s lore in the first two games was incredible. I think the combat is going to feel a lot smoother, and the prospect of playing as Ciri makes it that much more grand.

iKXPpZj8g3ynr.png

2. Yakuza 5: Nagoshi is God. To finally have this game arrive in the West is a dream some of us never gave up on. Kazuma, Saejima, and Akiyama all together again feels like bliss. It’s been years, and the Summer awaits. Digital release or not, the prospect of having this title translated is ineffable.

ibojdNLvc5I4er.png

3. Bloodborne: Demon’s Souls changed my perception about what it meant to struggle and persevere in a game; that challenge was worth it, and that every mistake would be punished. Dark Souls added so much more risk involved with death before the Lord Vessel, and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. And here we are with Miyazaki again- guns, Victorian ambiance and a new journey that awaits.

iCrN7YNzQtm9V.png

4. Arkham Knight: Rocksteady turned the idea of playing Batman in a great video game into a reality. The traversal, the flight mechanics, and the combat system added a lot of depth to a game world that felt familiar and fundamentally right in it’s portrayal of Arkham. The new focus on the Batmobile has me excited, and the villain unveils will definitely be epic!

is4v9L2QxRIW3.png

5. Rise of the Tomb Raider: I love Tomb Raider. I felt like the last game was hampered by a heavy focus on combat, but the open hub design and manageable collectible hunting left me more than satisfied. I want traversal puzzles to return, and Lara to continue to evolve in the writing. I thought Pratchett’s work was less than stellar, but here’s hoping Simone collaborates with her. I will be buying an XBO for this title- fingers crossed, there’s a Lara stencil or Special edition design on the console.

i92WEhtbEdF9i.png

6. Quantum Break: Oh Sam Lake, you sly devil. Remedy’s work resonates with me in ways that few other studios manage to do, and the new blend of time shifting and gunplay looks so polished. I think this will be Bullet time 2.0, and the idea of bridging a Television series with the game to build narrative could be really neat. I love the time shifting mechanic to dart in and out of combat, and I have high hopes for it!

iwHzQokR1mv3f.png

7. Zelda U: Aonuma and every single blade of that grass, swaying in the wind. The map looks absolutely huge, and I really am hoping for some incredible dungeon design. It’s a big part of why I bought a Wii U, and even from that initial render reveal, the prospect of a gorgeous Zelda game on new tech is something to be excited about!

iPs4mF8dBr3pN.png

8. Uncharted 4: Drake is older and looking weary. Naughty Dog has done nothing but impress with their games, and Uncharted 2 I still load up every now and then to marvel at. Troy Baker is coming along for the ride, and it’s going to be one hell of a dynamic duo. Also, new Uncharted multiplayer on the PS4 would be a god send.

ibxy8adV2gjmS7.png

9. Metal Gear Solid V: Kojima! Always hinting at something, The Phantom Pain- real life or CG?! I’m excited to see the Ground Zeroes updated tactical stealth gameplay in a vast open world. Quiet, torture, Boss, Kiefer- it’s been rife with controversy, but every MGS game I’ve played over the years holds a special place in my library. I also love the extended cutscenes, and insane cinematography.

i2LDPhhxunsOs.png

10. Resident Evil Revelations 2: Claire has returned! The first Revelations title I swear by- Raid mode was so wildly addictive, and Jessica was hilarious. I’m ready for Barry to resurface, for Moira to have a different gameplay role and for a creepy and wonderful return to survival horror.

Honorable Mentions
ibfhUkjLiGwF2x.png

a. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (PC): My god, it’s happening. All these years wishing for this, and here we are with Shimbori’s latest take on the franchise. I really love DOA5- it’s going to be hilarious spending all that money again on DLC costumes, but imagining the mods alongside a healthy online community gets me hyped! I brought out the old Arcade sticks, ready for February training. TINA 4EVA!

ib15gxtwnTRq7B.png

b. Xenoblade Chronicles X: This would be in the proper list, but truthfully I don’t think it’s coming out next year. I put nearly 80 hours into the original, and I never finished it- but I go back to dabble and just feel the serenity. It still is an incredible game, and the combat system I truly loved. I hope that the Quest design feels more imaginative, but I’m all for a glorious new Xenoblade title. Mechs, and beautiful vistas!

iPR4JsMHs0T6C.png

c. The Devil’s Third: Itagaki, I miss you. I mean I really do. The unveil was less than impressive visually, but I think there’s a chance this can be great. Seeing the multiplayer footage, it looked wonderfully goofy- here’s hoping we get multiple playable protagonists. I got fatih, I never lost it. Hoping for the best!

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : The Main reason I bought Wii U. From the previews this game looks awesome.

2. Bloodborne : Although I loved DS2, Bloodborne seems more like a "true" sequel to the Souls franchise. Can't wait for this one.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Xenoblade for the Wii was the best jrpg of last gen, so I'm pretty damn hyped about the sequel.

4. Persona 5 : Only Persona game I have played is P4G, but it was awesome, so I have high hopes for this one as well.

5. Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain : Ground Zeroes was ok, nothing groundbreaking, but I'm condifent TPP will be a lot more. Kojima will deliver, I'm sure of it!

6. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : It looks like a fun action game, just like U2 and 3.

7. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : For some reason, my hype for this game has died a little, but I'm still sure it will be great.

8. Halo 5 : Halo is Halo. The best FPS franchise there is.

9. Rise of the Tomb Raider : I liked TR reboot very much. I think the sequel will be awesome too.

10. Grim Fandango: Remastered : Never played the PC version, but the game looks very fun and unique.

1. No Man's Sky:
The hype is real. Been following this game since VGX, and it looks like a game that'll eat up months of my life.

2. Persona5:
was late to the Persona party. I just finished 4G for the first time about a month and a half ago. Can't wait to see what 5 has to offer.

3. Grim Fandango:
Played this when it first came out. Don't think I finished it. Will rectify on PS4

4. Whore of the Orient: (I can't believe this game will release with this title)
A resurrected Team Bondi's followup to LA Noir. Takes place in 1930's Shanghai. I want this to be good, but Bondi has had major problems in between Noir and now. Might violate the rules, since it doesn't have a firm release date, but they are apparently trying to get it out his year.

5. Mortal Kombat X:
Long time fan of the series. Hope they get back on track.

6. Firefly Online:
Browncoats assemble!

7. Soma:
Has my interest, if not my attention

8. FF Type-O:
I'd like a good FF game. Last one I played was 12

9. Rime:
Looks interesting?

10. Bloodborne:
Having never played any of FromSoft's other titles, not sure whether I'll enjoy or not. But probably gonna get it anyways.

1. Bloodborne. Demon's souls was one of my favourite game ever. The fact that this game will try to capture the atmosphere of tower of latria alone make it a must buy for me.
Bloodborne-3.gif
First of all, that GIF and those tall Hyde-esque baddies look amazing.

Second, has Miyazaki specifically said they're trying to evoke the Tower of Latria?

People need to get on that Cosmic Star Heroine hype train.

2pRxTse.gif

All aboard the hype train!

Shane Bettenhausen (Sony) - "Just solved 30-min Cosmic Star Heroine demo at Zeboyd Games booth. It's like Lunar SSS & Phantasy Star IV had a baby."
Colin Moriarty (IGN) - "Played Cosmic Star Heroine at PSX. Wow. It's basically Phantasy Star V with some really novel elements. Can't wait for this one."
Game Informer - CSH included in their "10 Exciting Indies to Put on your Radar" article.
RPGSite - "Played some Cosmic Star Heroine. Had a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing more."
Jenni Lada (Siliconera & other sites) - "Mark my words - Severed, Oreshika, Cosmic Star Heroine, and Tomorrow Children'll be huge."

And from EGMNow's preview article:

"Cosmic Star Heroine might end up being one of the cleverest turn-based titles I’ve seen in years."
"Mostly, though, the early standout of Cosmic Star Heroine is the battle system, which introduces a pair of mechanics with the potential to simultaneously streamline combat and imbue it with added strategic depth."
"There’s the imaginative character design: Hacker Dave taps out his attacks on a tablet, while Chahn uses her gunmancy skills to summon a wide variety of firearms that can hurt foes in myriad ways or heal her team."
"I think I might have a Heroine addiction."

1. Bloodborne

2. MGSV: Phantom Pain

3. Uncharted 4

4. Persona 5

5. Legend of Zelda U

6. No Mans Sky

7. Batman Arkham Knight

8. Rime

9. Xenoblade X

10. Ratchet & Clank

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Considering Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 are literally the best games of all time, period, it's hard for me not to be overly excited about this. We always knew how Big Boss' character arc was going to end, but seeing the exact transition has been like 11 years in the making. Kiefer Sutherland was a great choice for the voice, and the gameplay looks like it's taking cues from all the best features of 3, PW & Ground Zeroes and mixing them with Western games like Far Cry. I've never preordered or bought a special edition of a game, but this will be my first. A big part of the hype here is just knowing the crazy stuff Kojima has in store for us.

2. Uncharted 4 - The old ones were the only PS3 games last generation that I picked up every entry of. The platforming, although pretty easy, scratches an itch so specific I can't even begin to describe it. The stories in the ganes are pretty good too.
Also, the implementation of stealth into the combat is pretty big to me.

3. Star Wars Battlefront - I prefer COD to post-3 Battlefield, but even so I think DICE were the perfect people to handle this game. The style will be different certainly, but I believe. There is too much on stake for them to fuck this up, and the Frostbite engine combined with Original Trilogy settings has so much potential for greatness in visual terms, as long as they don't have their destruction boner still. If I wasn't sure that I will need to pay £40 extra to experience this game properly it'd probably be higher.

4. Rime - I have a starnge love affair with PS2 era platforners and this game reminds me a lot of them, even though I'm not sure it's a platformer. The art style is admittedly what is attracting me most to this game, but it looks very interesting either way. It's been long since I've played a third person game with no combat.

5. No Man's Sky - Despite the cynicism against it, I feel like this game is that will hold my attention for a very long time. In terms of expanse, this game is what I feel Destiny should have been, and as someone who is a fan of exploration from a first-person perspective as well as vibrant art styles, it just seems like this game will be something special.

5. Ratchet & Clank - Like I said, PS2 guy. These games have such a charm to them, maybe it's the nostalgia I get playing them. Ratchet 1 had some of the most interesting planet designs in the series so I'm looking forward to seeing them redone.

6. RE-REmake - I don't own a Gamecube component cable, so REmake looks like utter shit on my TV. I wasn't raised on tank controls, so it feels shit too. I'll finally be able to play this game without those 2 drawbacks, and Resident Evil is one of my favourite series's, so I'm prerty hype for this.

7. Super Hot - I'm not actually sure if this is slated for release in '15 but either way this game nails it's concept so hard. The visual style is also really striking and I love puzzle games that aren't the usual puzzle game we'd expect.

8. Tomb Raider 2 - I won't be playing this on current gen til '16, but I'm pretty hyped about this. I'm gonna be playing 360 version without TressFX™ so knowing that I won't put it higher on the list.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : I've been needing this in my system ever since the original unveiling of Ground Zeroes. My hype for a game in this series has never been higher, and Kojima-san looks to be in top form for this outing. I've wanted more ever since those final moments of Ground Zeroes. This is the final link between the Big Boss era and the Solid Snake era. The fall of Big Boss, the rise of Outer Heaven. Give it to me now.

2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : Any Zelda game makes me all giddy in the pants and this looks to be the most ambitious title yet. I'm beyond excited that the forced motion controls of Skyward Sword are gone and traditional play has returned. Yes we know very little so far, but after the series innovations presented in A Link Between Worlds, I have nothing but high hopes for this game.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X : The original Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favorite games of all time. The scale in X looks to be beyond the already impressive scale of its predecessor. This will be the Wii U's definitive RPG.

4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : Assassins of Kings was one of the best RPGs I've played in years, and it was a game where your choices actually changed the way the story plays out. Wild Hunt looks even more ambitious with a full open world. Geralt's final chapter is going to be a great one.

5. Batman: Arkham Knight : I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for anything Batman. Asylum and City were two of the best PS360 games, and after City's shocking ending, I can't wait to see how the chapter of this Batman tale closes.

6. Bloodborne : I've never played Demon or Dark Souls (yeah yeah send me to the depths) but everything about Bloodborne screams out as something I need to play.

7. No Man's Sky : I've mentioned a lot about ambition in this list. No game next year looks more ambitious than No Man's Sky.

8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Still need to finish UC3, but Drake's final chapter is sure to be a nonstop thrill.

9. Splatoon : A fun creative multiplayer-oriented title for the Wii U? Sign me up.

10. Yoshi's Woolly World : Haven't played a Yoshi game since Yoshi's Story way back when but the art direction in this one is too good to pass up.

Honorable Mentions : Mario Maker, Rainbow Six: Siege, The Order: 1886, Code Name S.T.E.A.M.

I see lots of games that don't qualify itt, such as FFXV, Scalebound and GT7.

1. Bloodborne: Miyazaki has created 2 of my favorite games of all time. I fully expect this game to be utterly fantastic.
2. Uncharted 4: The gameplay seems to b greatly improved, the graphics look incredible, and how could I not be hyped for Naughty Dog's follow-up to The Last of Us?
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The open world gameplay is discouraging, but i'm giving Kojima the benefit of the doubt here. I love how simultaneously awesome and silly this series is. The gameplay in MGS4 was great so I can't wait to see how they build on that.
4. The Witness: I can so easily see myself getting lost in this glorious maze of puzzles. I'm hoping for something as devious as Braid.
5. Persona 5: Persona is at the height of its popularity and i'm very interested to see how they will respond.
6. Zelda U: I have a lot of doubts about this game, and the last several in the series have disappointed. But it's still Zelda.
7. Xenoblade Chronicles X: I actually haven't played the first one, but by all accounts it's fantastic, and this game looks very good.
8. Ghost Song: This game looks like it's going to hit all the right points for me
9. Hyper Light Drifter: Honestly don't know a lot about this game, but those animations!!
10. Tearaway Unfolded: This already looked remarkable on the Vita, can't wait to revisit it.

I edited my list because I forgot Ghost Song and Hyper Light Drifter the first time around.

Space and exploration, enough said.

Curious to see if the Division can live up to what the initial trailers showed off. I also anticipate the outrage, bullshots, and news that come with a Ubisoft game.

As a huge Batman fan I can't wait to play the last game of the batman quadrilogy.

Said to be heavily influenced by the films featuring iconic enemies such as Mothra, Mechagodzilla, King Ghidorah, Rodan.

Though not officially announced but expected. I'm am interested in seeing what Trayarch will do with the extra year of development time and their first foray on the next gen platform.

Even though I've played GTA 5 to completion on both PS3 and PS4 I am more interested to see what the modding community can do.

Was already number four in my list...
Btw, would it be bad form to borrow this picture as I complete my list with text and art?
It was #4 on my list too :lol

And it's a gif I pulled from the kickstarter thread which in turn is from the trailer.

So, go ahead!?

I'd like to thank this thread for showing me that there are at least 10 games I'm excited about for next year.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Was blown away by Ground Zeroes and if the full game is just a lot more of that it'll be legendary.

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Naughty Dog already had my benefit of the doubt from The Last Of Us, but man the gameplay shown in the most recent trailer sold me more than anything else ever could. If the end result lives up to that trailer it'll be legendary.

3. Halo 5 : I still have faith in 343 to do the right thing by Halo 5, but mostly I'm looking forward to playing the campaign on legendary ;p

1. Zelda U: I don't own a Wii U, but I will have to buy one for this game.

2. Bloodborne: I loved Dark Souls, and I also love Victorian London as a setting for...anything really.

3. Rime: It looks mysterious and beautiful. I don't actually know much about it, but it looks magical.

4. The Order: 1886: Again, the Victorian London setting wins me over. I also like all the videos I've seen.

5. Arkham Knight: I loved AA and AC, but I am worried about the Batmobile. I don't like driving in games.

6. Deep Down: The screenshots look promising. I don't know too much about it.

7. Uncharted 4: I've never played an Uncharted game since I did not own a PS3. But they always looked really good to me.

8. Battleborn: It looks really fun from the trailer I saw. Again, I don't know much about it.

9. No Man's Sky: At this point in my list, it's just games I'm a little interested in

10. Star Fox U: If I get a Wii U for Zelda, I might as well get another game for it.

Basically every game that people have already mentioned a thousand times. Only difference is that I want to add Xenoverse.

Namco Bandai have been very transparent with the latest entry in the Dragon Ball franchise. They have been doing lots QA sessions live with fans, showing the game off on both previous generation and current generation consoles, and doing giveaways.

No surprises (except good ones involving unlocks in the game), no BS. Just discussions on combat, characters, and story.

ALSO, who wouldnt want to make their own Z (XV) warrior from scratch? Who didnt try to draw their own DBZ character back in the day? Dream come true.

1. Splatoon: This game is everything I've been hoping for Nintendo to make in a long, long time. A brand new AAA title, sporting an original idea and an unique twist on an established genre, that manifests itself into a new IP, adding another repertoire of timeless characters to Nintendo's library. And with that spectacular-looking single player campaign it's evident that Nintendo can take this into any direction for the future.

2. Hotline Miami 2 - Wrong Number: It's one of the few times I'm willing to concede that I'm okay with more of the same being okay. Hotline Miami was an incredibly addicting experience for the incredibly crunchy melding of serial killer audio/visual cues that came together to create one of the most visceral experiences I've had in a video game, and the insanity of the upcoming Hotline Miami 2 seems like it's a deliberate extension to that premise.

3. The Legend of Zelda Wii U: I've never been that great of a Zelda fan even in spite of me being a massive Nintendo fan, and yet I can't help but be completely awestruck at the sheer volume that this game is looking to provide. As someone who still considers Wind Waker his favorite Zelda game, I adore the idea of a grand scope that is up for yours to explore with no limitations and unexpected things constantly being on the way to your destination. It feels like for the first time in a while, the journey is going to be more important than the destination.

4. Persona 5: I admit, I might be burnt out on the Persona series a little after the incessant milking of Persona 4, and as such I kind of dread the possibility of the same happening to Persona 5. But I'm still incredibly excited all the same because after experiencing both P3 and P4, a game like that feels like something of a rarity in this day and age, and I can't wait to see what the game has to offer this time in terms of visual aesthetics, social commentary, general tone of approach and so forth.

5. Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain: As much as I hate to admit it with me giving Kojima a lot of shit for continuing the franchise even after MGS4 was there to end it, the game play of The Phantom Pain looks to be potentially engaging as all hell. Ground Zeroes was a great taster, and if The Phantom Pain can live up to that, it has the potential to hit all the home bases in spite of the fact that I have zero investment in it's story at this point.

6. Kirby and The Rainbow Curse: It's safe to say I'm pretty embittered about the age old adage of European Kirby delays but even so, Kirby's Canvas Curse was one of my all time favorite DS games and to see it return with another lovely art style to use to it's fullest extent on the Wii U has me enamored.

7. Just Cause 3: The king of sandboxes makes it's return and I couldn't be more excited for it. The only reason I put it this low at the list is because I haven't seen enough of it yet. While the map size will supposedly be similar to the size of Just Cause 2, it's already a tall order to one-up that one and I can't hold the developers against it. All I want is a return to complete mayhem and grapple hook action.

8. Xenoblade X: Gigantic mechas roaming incredible worlds; how can you not love that? The sheer scope of Xenoblade X looks admirable, and Monolith has easily proven themselves as one of the frontrunners of best JRPG worlds. I can't wait to see what else this game has to offer.

9. Mario Maker: I didn't expect this to eventually be on my list since content creators have never been my most preferable games, but the amount of love towards classic Mario and the Mario Paint format is hard to ignore. It feels like a tool made for people to express game design and allow people to truly enter that deliberate mindset, and how better to do that than with Mario? In some ways it almost feels overdue, but right now it's looking like one of the most realized opportunities.

10. Star Fox Wii U: I shouldn't really be mentioning it when we've seen so little, but it's Star Fox. After waiting almost a decade for a true blue Star Fox game to arrive I'm excited that Miyamoto is finally bringing it back to the limelight for some good old space combat. And if the purported episodic format can maintain a scale and replayability comparable to the likes of Star Fox 64, they might just be onto a winning format.

1. Hotline Miami 2 : The first one was probably the most intense game I've ever played, with the soundtrack, pulsing colours and knife-edge fast and brutal combat. Don't expect the sequel to be so mindblowing but a few solid hours of "damn, Hotline Miami was amazing" nostalgia will be well worth it.
2. No votes : Nothing else I'm sold on buying day 1 so I don't think top spots are deserved.

9. No Man's Sky : I am totally in the market for a 65daysofstatic music video generator. If it goes beyond that, cool. PC version may not even be 2015.
10. Evolve : 4 vs 1 is going to be so hard to make balanced and interesting in the long term. Got a hopeful eye on it.

1. Uncharted 4 : The Druckley combo get what amazing gameplay means. Nice sandboxes with a beautiful amalgamation of platforming, verticality, stealth, third person shooting , pitch perfect animations combined with awesome voice acting and story telling. Very few dev's are as good as ND at combining these aspects as effortlessly and beautifully.

2. Bloodborne : The big M is working on what. What more is there to say. The only GOTY competitor to UC4 in my opinion

3. MGS5 : Kojima nuff said

4. Batman Arkham Knight :

1. Bloodborne- after playing it a ton at PSX, I just cant get enough
2. Uncharted 4
3. Hyper Light Drifter- this game blew me away at PSX. Its so fun to play!
4. Persona 5
5. No Man's Sky
6. RIME
7. Witcher 3
8. The Order 1886- PSX was just a ploy to get me hyped on all these games
9. Final Fantasy: Type 0
10. The Division- hoping this doesn't turn into a fiasco like the other Ubi games...

Honorable mentions
The Witness- This game was fun to watch people play at PSX. Mr. Blow was just watching people struggle through puzzle after puzzle and was laughing that everyone in line was trying to help people solve puzzles. Very fun.

Star Wars Battlefront- Please DICE... please work!

1. No Man's Sky :
I have tried to temper my hype, based on similar games (Fable and Spore) that promised the moon, and given they have only made Joe Danger, I still remain skeptical, but man... Space exploration games are a insta-seller for me.
2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate :
I'm a really big Monster Hunter fan and have been waiting impatiently for the new game to hit stateside.
3. Bloodborne :
Of course this is going to win out, as it should. Demon's took GAF by storm, and Dark Souls is amazing (I still need to finish it, oops)! The setting and mood this game aims to achieve is right up my alley.
4. Road Redemption :
I know this is early access, but I'm anticipating an official launch sometimes next year. I saw the most recent updates they have done to the game and it looks pretty amazing considering where it was 6 months ago. I've been dying for a new Road Rash game and with the latest info, this is looking to be EXACTLY what I've been waiting for.
5. Just Cause 3 :
I loved 2, and loved 2 even more when multiplayer mods were introduced. I'm excited to see what new tools we'll have access to, and then to see how the community will mod the fuck out of it and break it even further.
6. Majora's Mask 3D :
I can't wait to replay the masterpiece. I'm interested to see what accommodations they make for the newer people getting into it for 3DS
7. Grim Fandango :
I played a demo of the original back when I used to get demo discs from PC gamer, and for some reason never owned the copy myself, but love the motif and themes of the game, so I'm day one sold.
8. Witcher 3 :
I don't have a rig to run this game, so I won't even be able to play well into 2016
KuGsj.gif
but damn I'm excited to see what it has to offer.
9. Legend of Zelda Wii U :
I am skeptical about this, given my disdain for Twilight Princess and the plodding forgetfulness of Skyward Sword. I was super excited for SS, but everything was pretty lackluster, save the artstyle.
10. Axiom Verge :
I'm ready for a new take on metroidvania.

1. Uncharted 4
The demo they presented really impressed me. Also playing TLOU for the first time and it's an incredible experience and only hypes me up for this game even more.
2. BloodBorne
Not the greatest fan of the dark souls series but the slick faster pace action, atmosphere, mechanics etc has me incredibly interested in the game
3.The Witcher 3
Basically everything I've heard about this game is great so far. I just really hope they just don't overpromise on a lot of stuff because it sounds incredibly ambitious.
4. Tearaway Unfolded
Loved Tearaway and would be glad to pick it up again.
5.Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken
Not sure if it's going to release this year but I'm a huge fan of the Ace Attorney series so pretty pumped for it.
6.Rime
Beautiful looking game. Looks great
7.MGS5
Only recently got into MGS and I think the open world aspects and gameplay look great.
8.Hyper Light Drifter
9.Persona 5
10.Zelda WiiU
I like what I see and been playing Zelda games for a long time. I really didn't like Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword. A link between worlds was great.

Honourable Mentions
The Order
I swear this is the most indecisive game I've ever come across. On one side, I'm so incredibly excited about a lot of things ranging from the story, lore, fantasy, atmosphere, visuals(I really love playing single player cinematic games) but on the otherside, I just really don't like what I see in terms of the level design. The shooting looks fine with the recent demo. Love how it looks powerful. There's a lot of shooters I've played that have awful guns.
Rainworld
I find it looks pretty fun to play. Not sure about the content since I haven't been following it much at all.

Since I saw people post it I have to ask, do Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Scalebound, and Tekken 7 count?
DOA5 Last Round has a date doesn't it?

Scalebound doesn't count as it doesn't have any form of release window estimate. Not sure about Tekken 7, if anyone knows any dates associated with it feel free to chime in.

Hi Shinobi. In my list I put Call of Duty 2015 (I know, I know). Since it hasn't officially been announced but is inevitable does it still count or should I change it?
