Known Doofus Acts Like Doofus About Something Dumb in GameStop

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
You know, Chris-chan freaking out over Sonic having blue arms is nothing for Sonic fans.

I remember a few years ago when the first Sonic 4 trailer came out, a fan made a reaction video and went on a long rant (in tears) about how Sonic's eyes were green. For some reason, Sonic fans are really protective of how he looks. It's freaky.

There were some meltdowns on GAF regarding Sonic's eyes from people whose names I'll not mention because they're not as bad now.

Look...I didn't really know who this person was, and I can't deny it sounds like a pretty sad story on some levels, but I wish mods would just stop threads like this, and people who go around getting a good laugh out of his exploits would shut the hell up.

For a site that seems to have so many threads regarding the importance of equality regarding different types of people, and has even helped me become more accepting when it comes to gay, bi, lesbian, trans, whatever...to make fun of an individual like this doesn't seem right to me either.

he's obviously got mental problems, why is that not a good reason to not make fun of someone? Let's just close it, and end the discussion, because these type of threads devolve in things that disgust me as much as some youtube comments.

I don't think it's ended. I doubt he'll end up in prison, and if he does, it won't be for long. Only things that can end this saga are long term imprisonment, death, or him successfully turning his life around.

Will never happen. The guy is almost 33. He's not going to change.

Sonic fans are so weird.

Chris-Chan is in a league all his own when it comes to weirdness. This dude has been up to antics for almost a decade now. Him macing someone at a gamestop over the color of Sonic's arms is the very very tip of the iceberg. I assure you.

I've never really understood what it was about Sonic that made him worth obsessing over. It's definitely not the quality of the games. In fact, most Sonic fans don't really seem to care about the games at all. Just the character.

Wait, Chris-chan did this? From all I've read about him, it never seemed like he would harm anyone else. It was much more common for him to harm himself (or, rather, his image) because he doesn't know what he should or shouldn't talk about.

I didn't even think of him as a "Sonic fan" at this point. I've never seen him going on about Sonic at all. It just seemed like he used Sonic-inspired characters as a medium for his own "imaginary friend" type world.

There's something called "The Sonic Game" where you put your name into Google Image Search and add "the hedgehog" and post the worst pictures you find. It works for nearly any name.

Go ahead. Try it. He's not alone. Look for "Steve the Hedgehog" or "Michael the Hedgehog"

A lot of mentally unstable gravitate towards Sonic and his friends.

He previously hit someone with a car twice while trying to get unbanned from a hobby shop and when the police arrived his mom assaulted a officer while they attempted to flee.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
from wiki said:
29 December - Chris's initial hearing takes place. The case is continued, to be heard again on February 5, 2015. He later makes bail and posts his own account of what happened on Facebook.
28 December - Chris was confirmed to be held in Albemarle Regional Jail.
26 December - Chris goes to Fashion Square Shopping Mall, and visited GameStop where he vandalized a Sonic Boom display and pepper-sprayed an employee on the way out. The police were called at some point after this, and Chris caused unspecified trouble at Sears and JCPenney before attempting to carjack a man in the parking lot, and subsequently fleeing.

Holy shit, never heard of this person until this thread. Apparently after the macing, he tried to carjack someone and was arrested?

I discovered CWC 5 years ago, and it's just been one strange, unexplainable ride, every "saga" is, and the entire circumstances regarding him as well as the people who follow him, is the both the most fascinating and terrifying thing ever. The CWCKI is literally the most comprehasive in depth chronicle of a living person. Literally every small detail, down to like, the differances in the striped shirts he wears, or his purchase history on PSN, is on there. There is literally no site like it.
Honestly suggest everyone take a day to check out the site regardless of your overall opinions on Chris, it's just, wow.

I feel sorry for his situation in life, but he needs to be committed somewhere before he ends up really hurting someone or himself.

Agreed. He seems to have some issues and its pretty obvious.

The eyelids changing from tan to blue seems to be the only revision that went by with no complaints.

What the fuck. How recent was that? It's depressing to think that he might be becoming violent because of how people on the Internet treat him.

His mom helped him do that incident.

People saying they feel bad for his parents are missing the fact that his horrible parents are why he's as bad as he is today.

All this over blue arms... Incredible.

Court hearing's on 15 January apparently.

I don't like the fact that some people go out of their way to egg CWC on though, but this incident is all on CWC.
