As someone who has never once purchased a physical Vita game... if there's a primo Limited Edition for Blood Drive, I'm probably going to break that trend.

Will probably get Brandish, Xanadu, Ys, Blood Drive and the two Kiseki games at one point.

I'd bet SK2 is one of the two unknown so that pretty much only leaves one more game i could get, but i can't complain.

And the market for handheld game only gotten worst in 2015.
Well, to be honest, I think it's not doing that badly considering how many games we're getting now compared to a few years ago so either they're still making money or they're running a charity.

Tom's also hinted several times that it will almost certainly be physical. Vita does well for them and a few other niche companies.
Yeah, I saw Shizuka mentioning it, what did he say exactly?

It's been a while to dig for it, but he's said several times that it would confidently have a physical copy, since it's of course not a PSP title. With luck, there might even be an LE for it.

Nice. I don't really like LE so if there's a regular edition I'd rather grab that unless the LE is mind-bogglingly amazing.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
It'd be a pain to coordinate between the storefronts, but a simultaneous GOG and Steam release of Ys VI (in addition to getting the other installments onto the former) would be cool for building hype.

It'd also be just dandy if we could finally get the other two Ys games on GOG in the near future...

I'm personally hoping for some kind of compilation OST. I loved the music in the first game. Haven't played the second yet, though.

Totally opposite for me :) I have 26 retail games and none of them is digital.

Yeah, same with me. The only digital Vita games I have are the ones that are only digital.

With the exception of Ridge Racer and Batman Blackgate because I got them hella cheap on sales.

Never played a Corpse Party game, just read one weird manga of it. Was intimidated by the number of different games. I want to make sure I'm enjoying the story to the fullest extent.

What are the games like? What genre and what's the best order to play in?

The soundtrack to Blood Drive is exceptional so an OST would be a worthwhile bonus, IMO. Incidentally, you really do need to play through Book of Shadows beforehand - specifically for the beginning of Chapter 1 and the Blood Drive prologue both of whose events follow the events of Corpse Party: Blood Covered Repeated Fear (which you've already completed).

Thank you Xseed for Localizing Corpse Party: Blood Drive. I only played the original on PSP and loved it. I purchased the sequel (or spin-off) Book of Shadows in one of the Xseed sale on PSN and I am definitely going to pick up Blood Drive as well. It is nice knowing that I won't be left behind if I play Book of Shadows now.

Horror games, play "Corpse Party" on the PSP first. The first one is like a RPGMaker game and the second one is a visual novel like VLR.

Incidentally, Blood Drive is almost like a hybrid of the two formats. Obviously, it brings back the gameplay of the first title but there are some extended visual novel segments of considerable length as well.

There are 2 PSP games and this Blood Drive, which all 3 are part of a trilogy.

You can download the psp games from PSN.
Corpse Party -> Book of Shadows -> Blood Drive

Awesoooome. Not surprised people really want this one.

I also heard there is like, a Romantic Comedy spinoff game that is only in JP. Wish we could get that one, but I understand why we wouldnt :p

Hell yes. I'd drop a reasonable amount of dough on that.

Oh I plan on it. Just trying to get some other games I'm working on out of the way first.

Still just Falcom games for me. Brandish, Trails SC, and Ys. And Xanadu Next/Cold Steel from the domain leak thing.

Gives all the fucks
For reference, the Japanese limited edition of Corpse Party: Blood Drive included two small figures and a soundtrack (38 tracks).
Considering we got SV physical with an artbook/strategy guide & 30+ tracks for $10 more, it sounds possible Blood Drive could get a LE/first print run with its OST included as well. I don't know about the figures, considering we didn't get the SV ones.

Well it's nice that it was a Blood Drive image but that one was already spoiled. Kinda interested in Oneechanbara Kagura games from what a friend said about the combat being pretty good so I'm willing to give that a go.

Wow, when was THAT announced?! ;)

I don't know if that's legit, actually. That sale ended a while ago, and Amazon was supposed to take the listing down, but they never did. It's possible Sony will still honor it, as I haven't heard anyone complain that they bought it and got ripped off or anything, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to actually be there.

That was it? Even now it still looks like different lines to me compared to the exactness of the other matches. Oh well.

Hooray Corpse Party!

Still need to play Book of Shadows though =/

Hoping NISA pick up the licence for distribution in Europe though, 'else I'm importing.

They've been pretty good lately for EU releases (NISA Store aside...). Nice to see that you guys can get a lot of the Aksys, Atlus, and XSEED (physical) titles there in some way or form! NISA has really grown over the years.

I'm currently annoyed with NISA because they don't ship from the US since they created their EU store and then apparently didn't put any physical copies of hotl#niq: The Firefly Diaries on the EU store.

In general, though, I'm pretty happy with them. I got the DanganRonpas, which makes me happy.

Looking forward to Corpse Party: BD and TitS: SC. Also Ys '8' and Sen no Kiseki (assuming that's what Trails of Cold Steel is) if/when they get localised.

Considering they haven't been properly announced yet, I wouldn't be ruling the idea out just yet. There were plenty of physical releases last year after all -- Rune Factory, Senran, Akiba, etc.

Blood Drive will most likely be physical, if you guys read Tom's comments on XSEED Forums.
Alright thanks for the info. Maybe I looked at the wrong amazon page since I missed any recent releases haha.

Well heres hoping for a physical release of Blood Drive! :) Day One either way!

Edit: That Corpse Party Amazon Bundle worked for me on Christmas 2014 so it'll likely still work.

Yeah, it's really great and I'm very grateful NISA are doing it.

The best part of it is for games with DLC (i.e. Akiba's Trip). I'm one of those physical-only kind of guys who would honestly eschew everything for a copy (did that for Neptunia Rebirth).

But if NISA pick the game up, I get the best of both worlds!

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
I'm sad none of the teasers led to Trails of Cold Steel (aka Sen no Kiseki). :(
