So nothing about voice chat? If this game again has no voice chat, then I'm just smh...

This is the next game I will unpack my Wii-U for. Cannot wait to see if they really do something interesting with the 4player and 32player overall modes. Hopefully they do some PSO stuff and add some 4v4 sports or something hahah.

USB keyboard support is a pleasant surprise considering the Gamepad has a software keyboard. I'd love for Nintendo to make a first party keyboard just for collection purposes (and yes, I'm aware of the GCN one). I'm guessing a wireless keyboard should work as well?

Voice chat doesn't require any official peripherals, so I don't know why you would expect to see anything related to it come up in a peripheral list for a first party game.
Of course I highly doubt there will be any voice chat. Text chat is par for the course for these sort of games.

Now can Nintendo please raise the friends list cap above 100? That is horribly small. My PS4 has a 2000 friends cap. I hope I can quest with people through Matchmaking or off of my friends list... I wonder about Voice Chat... I have a feeling Nintendo may not include it because "family friendly".

Example of online information exchange:

From: ????
Info: Go to this part of the map *shows coordinates* and you get this rare item ********.

Player follows the info. Goes to the said map. Item that popped out was just an ordinary collectible. A super-leveled unique monster appears. Got rekt. lol.

Do you have over a 100 people you game with? It's hard enough for me to keep track of 10.

I hope it's something like mh. Killing unique monsters and grab the loot. But without exp.
Imagine mech fights...

You barely know any of them I bet. Delete some.

I am going to have to delete almost all of them when Xenoblade X drops, and start adding new people who I like who are actively playing Xenoblade.

If this is anything like an online game where you want to have a big friends list so that you can go questing whenever you want then 100 people is teeny tiny and highly inadequate.

If I develop a regular "quest group" and I only go questing with them at scheduled times then I guess 100 friends is just fine. In any case I don't really know much more than what is in the OP about the questing yet anyway.

Do I win a prize for talking about my penis on the Internet???
Fucking Hell, 4 player Co-op with item exchanging PSO style just cemented my social life going down the shitter. I love it.

I hear ya. Chances are there will probably be a Xenoblade online community thread to exchange friend requests and people posting when they'll be online.

4 player online quests makes this a day 1 for me. This could be the game that finally fills the void left by PSO. Just imagine flying around with a few friends in giant mechs across these landscapes.

I guess I'll be buying a WiiU when this launches here in Europe then.

Thus is the kind of game I've been looking for for a long time; I wish Dragon Age InInquisition and Dragon's Dogma were like this, I would have enjoyed them a lot more. It doesn't matter how boring a game is, when you're playing with friends it becomes awesome

If this doesn't fill the void that was left by PSO then it's Dragon's Dogma. That's if Capcom releases it the west.

Oh pleaaseee!

The pre-load for the game which went live in Japan a short time ago confirms the following details:

- Single Player RPG
- 4 Players Online Quests
- 32 Players Indirect Online (For Information exchange and item trading)

Well, may be the collectathon quests won't be so painful this time.

The list was about hardware, features and technical aspects in general. Or do you need "any official peripherals" for 720p output and Miiverse support?

The fact that it's F2P for DD makes me fear how Capcom does the micro-transactions, I mean they aren't exactly above shady DLCs >__<;

I have a feeling people are going to abuse messages similarly to dark souls.

Ie jump for treasure

You jump and end up in a dragon nest. The fall wakes the dragon up,

YOU DIED

I know, It's sad that I've become so desparate for a third person online coop game that I would stoop so low to consider F2P. :(
