Tarō's most recent dependability sure frightens me! Offers to go by himself on his bicycle to collect the 'genga' so that others can take the only available company's car, he even does it in a timely manner, encourages his peers like there is no tomorrow and also tries to bond with the fellow male production assistant recently hired... now seriously, is he really improving at it? Is he expressly trying to not create a burden on Miyamori for his first production desk job? Is he doing it to impress Yano showing progress for when she comes back? Was this series' staff trying to make the new production assistants appear to be more helpless in comparison for the sake of this latest episode's plot point? Or was it maybe a combination of every one of these options? I have to wonder...

Milky Holmes 10-12 END
And that ends part 1 of our Educationally Subnormal Protagonists, filled with animation that would make HapCha shit itself, as well as laughs. It feels like it's been such a long time since we had geniunely enjoyable idiocracy, but Milky Holmes ultimately delivered on this front, that' for sure.
I think the best and worst part is that we're going into the final season. It's a shame there's only two seasons of this show, but get the feeling that as I watch, I will feel content overall, knowing that this show was not tainted in the long run.
...Oh and fucking Mori Arty appeared.

Writing-wise it's headed unsurprisingly further into trainwreck territory, so it's still entertaining!

Still not really feeling this series. This episode was more enjoyable than the previous ones but most of the references are lost on me and when the two animators were bonding over mecha I felt like the Star Wars fan at a Trekkie convention.

I am still amazed how Sorachi can pull most of this stuff off.

The direction for this episode was really weird. I can't decide if it's an execution error thing, or just like they've got one good storyboarder and three bad ones or something, because there were some really boring and insipid shots this episode (the pre-OP sequence kind of stood out as being pretty terrible) and some really interesting things they were doing that were kind of let down by the actual animation/execution but you could see the ideas were there (Rudy and Bard Girl chatting outside, basically everything disquieting in this episode, the entire sequence with Tohya and the Princess on the riverside as well as Atsuki and Shiroe back in Aki). I have to say the sound design on the river was really surprisingly good, fantastic use of silence in a show that normally puts the BGM for pretty much everything.
Anyway the discoveries are interesting, the casual revelation about language and auto-translation and the static nature of the world pre-Cataclysm definitely the most interesting parts of the episode, but a wyvern attack is pretty cool too. Let's see where this goes, what the Mobile Respawn Points have to do with anything and what the Chief's up to.

Valentine's Day episode! While most of it was concerned with spreading love around for Starlight's chef, the Little Mermaid-inspired song performance was a lot of fun. Hinaki and Juri make a good combo, I want to see more of them. And since the episode ended with Akari getting chocolate from Ichigo... that satisfies me.

So Aria is being played by their universe's version of Hisako Kanemoto. In our universe, she's doing lead work on Maria, so I'd say that's a good casting choice. Some of that may be residual Yayoi's-the-best, but I always like finding out more about what sorts of shows we're dealing with here. It never gets easier for Aoi, but thank the writers

Its a great continuation. Characters have really developed well over the many months or so and the political implications of the situation have really put them into unique situations. The reveals are surprising and well done.

Poor Miyamori. Studio Taitanic has more than lived up to its name, LOL. Musani seems to be in an even worse position than they were with Exodus, not sure how the show is going to survive this.
