I don't think it is, but it's more likely than Venom Snake being Jaeger.

GZ can't take place after TPP. Miller has his arms in the end of GZ.

I pay money to gun manufacturers and I don't like killing or war either.

Metal Gear is a series that preaches against war and killing, yet allows you to do so in the games anyway, regardless of whether you use a gun, your hands, or a knife. I just don't see how paying license fees to gun manufacturers is such a bad thing that goes against one of the messages MGS preaches. It's all contradictory anyway in the name of entertainment.

It's not just the gun licenses they've done away with, also the vehicles/gunships. The Hind really isn't a Hind anymore. The Blackhawk isn't a Blackhawk, the Jeep really isn't a Jeep. I'm willing to bet that Big Boss' motorcycle won't be anything real either, unlike prior games.

That being said, I'm sure it was a funding issue. Perhaps a lot of the budget was used to develop the FOX Engine and they had nothing left to spare for licensing.

I'm gonna drive so many Joops and BuzzDouble-U's in MGS5, then I'll hop in my Greyeagle and shoot my Stallion .54 out the door while the enemies try to shoot me with their BL-58's.

This sounds like most videogames, then again it's not like MGS had incorrect names for things before.

It's just I hope perhaps there are accurate models in the game that are true to real weapons, I love the design of a lot of the fake weapons, and I look forward to seeing what Shinkawa has concocted for TPP, but I'm hoping it's like PW and a case of them needing time to implement things as it sounds like they are in the final push of putting everything together and entering QA/debug and game balancing.

Then again who knows, either way I know personally I'll probably be staring at a stack of games thanks to my shoulder surgery I need. I get to go do that towards the end of this month, hopefully I'll have a day or two to play Bloodborne.

In the meantime, I'll be staring at all these shrinkwrapped goodies of some of my most anticipated games, and by the time MGSV hopefully comes out and if nothing gets delayed; I'll be ready to play MGSV and a ton of potential masterpieces and finish Bloodborne if I can't play after my surgery.

The long 6 months of waiting time just became more painful. It will soon feel that way literally.

I remember watching the first GZ footage of Boss climbing up that cliff and looked immediately at the rifle he was carrying. At first glance, I thought oh it looks like an FN FNC 5.56.. then it came into full view "I don't know what that is." :p

I was like oh wow, fake weapons... well at least they kind of resemble something.

The fake weapons thing, I always assumed it was cause they were being developed/designed at MB, so it would have made sense but I guess even soldiers by default have them in the game so .. I just dont know. Doesn't bother me much though

That would only make sense if JUST the MSF/DD soldiers carried said weapons. In MGSV, every single gun is fake. The ones used by the Soviets, Marines, etc.

To be clear, I'm not claiming to be outraged here. All I've said is that it has been a sticking point for me; an annoying little ironic itch that I couldn't scratch.

Congrats! Out of all the videos I watched yours was my favorite.

Can't think of any suggestions for the message right now. I wonder what's a 'cosplay voice' though lol
