CyberConnect 2 reveals they have 3 current gen console games in development

Time for Sailor Moon Crystal Ultimate Sailor Guardian Battle 22.

Shame that not one of those games is Asura's Wrath 2.

Well CC2 is making stuff and that's always good. Keep making stuff.

Apparently it's stated that they're looking to hire 30-50 new staff in this recruitment exercise. So it looks like CC2 is looking to expand from a 150 person studio to a 200 person studio.

Very, very glad to hear they are focusing more on consoles. Even if none of those projects are .hack I am still looking forward to their reveal.

.... but seriously though, we need a new .hack with proper online support. None of this //fragment business!

I'm dying here.

This news is killing me.

If they don't announce what those titles are I'm going to go into a coma.

I love you CC2, I'll buy all of those games even if I don't plan on buying a VR headset.

Good luck to them. There's definitely an opening for them to become a premier Japanese console developer, and get more worldwide recognition.

Sorry guys, I didn't understand if this is all the info we'll get or if the Famitsu article will actually give some details on the three games?

Not a big fan of them but I'll still look forward to what new projects they.

I'd be nice to see them handle another anime adaptation, if nothing esle they are the best developer out there when it comes to translating anime style visuals into videogame graphics. Id' also be nice if they continued with the Naruto franchise but tried to make more of an adventure/hack and slash game rather than a fighter

All of them sound like Berserk AAA game to me. I'll work there if they let me write the story for it.

The ideal AAA Berserk game would be a collaboration between Platinum Games and Sony Santa Monica.

Platinum can focus on making the gameplay good and giving it an awesome combat system while Sony Santa Monica can focus on making it look awesome

This is just a preview of what we'll get in the next issue of Famitsu.

The full thing will be a 20-page article on CC2.

Although I don't think we have a confirmation if those games will be announced there (the article is on the company, not these games in particular).

Alternatively just call From Soft.

Can't wait for Strelka Stories.

Either case, they have some insanely good art showcased for their original titles, and I can't wait to see their first true PS4 game.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
I wouldn't mind a manlier Bronx set-up btw, like a cross between Asura's Wrath and Tail Concerto/Mamoru-kun/Solatorobo.

Hopefully one of these three titles will be a .Hack or SAO game for PS4. I'll take either. Especially using UE4 or some sort of next gen engine. The more RPG's, the better. ;)

I'm more hoping for .Hack than SAO. I personally have mixed feelings about SAO. Didn't like the fairy area or even the FPS portion. The original SAO was good though.

.Hack, I really enjoy the character and outfit design, the areas are stellar looking as well. I'd even take a new IP that's an RPG. But yeah... that's more/less what I was getting at.

Do we know if any of those is going to be an RPG?

Props to CC2 anyway, this mindset is the only thing that can resurrect console gaming in japan.

It always pleases me to see a developer double-down on console development as well as expand. Far too many news stories about closures and layoffs and not enough about expansions. Hopefully one of these projects ends up being a break-out hit.

I guess we don't know who is publishing these games yet do we? History would indicate Bandai Namco as a likely candidate.

Aw no new announcement

Interested to see where they are headed
Talented bunch
Like a level5 that's shackled to licensed games
They should code DQ lol

Believes Dragon Quest is a franchise managed by Sony
CC2 is a light in a sea of dark stories ;_; I would not mind an asura's wrath remaster with the DLC included in the game this time

THeir production values are second to none in all their projects. Their Naruto games on the other hand have been lowering in quality and reception because they've stuck to the same Storm template for years now.

Showing their skills in other areas is what they should do. One of these games has "ultra anime visuals", probably a new IP. "virtual reality" is apart of the experience, GPGPU, UE4, physics simulation and all that. Man its an exciting time for this studio

And just think this is only in addition to the Naruto and Jojo games they have coming out, probably to get all of their dev teams fully experienced with PC/PS4 and XB1 development

I wonder if after Ninja Storm 4 they may get around to doing a fully open world Naruto game. Seeing all the traction the new dragon ball has got for havig a quest hub like game could go down pretty well.

Got brought up last year but at that point I dont even think ninja storm 4 was announced.

I'd actually be pretty excited for an open world Naruto game, or a more level based third person action game.

The ubisoft Naruto games had some pretty good core ideas, it's just a shame they built the action around a shitty fighting game. Would have worked much better as a DMC/Bayonetta type of experience, mabye with a combat system that gives up a bit of depth in order to be more flashy.
