I'm back!

No Course Maker yet I see. Thanks Kaz.

Do you still own the NRL account? I think I sent you a message here and in game to get added....not that anyone really plays much anymore, lol. Can you add me if you are the owner? dubc35, thanks!

Not the NRL account, but I have the GT-GAF club under community... if you're not in, let me know.

I forgot all about this

It happens right around E3 too. Assuming we do get the GT7 announcement that we want at E3, it could work out like with GT5/6 where they started announcing tracks during events that took place on those tracks.

For the first time in many months I played GT6 and I've forgotten how brilliant it is. I took the wonderful Mercedes VGT sans aids to the new Midway circuit and it was loads of fun. Couldn't stop doing laps, learning the track, the braking points, testing the acceleration limits. This is how it's supposed to feel, just worlds beyond Drive Club, there's no comparison to me.

Then I took another favourite out, the Ferrari FXX. No assists either but sport soft tires. More challenging obviously but even more fun improving lap after lap. I couldn't put it down.

I think I want to get back into this. Are there still decent rooms happening online?

BTW, thanks for the GAF Club invite Norante

Oh wow, you are right. I also had forgot about pikes peak rumor.

I expect
2015 E3 GT7 reveal/teaser.
2016 First quarter GT7 prologue release.
2016 Christmas GT7 release

My E3 prediction.

GT6 Spec II, fully complete with a PS4 edition

GT7 announced for holiday 2016 release.

Fallout 4 out in September making the first two announcements irrelevant.

GT7 will probably be delayed till 2018 because Kaz decided to strive for Driveclub graphics at 120fps with Morpheus.

I've started playing the game again after taking a break for a couple months. Finally made it to the Super license tests. Is it just me, or is the S-3 test with the KTM X-BOW really easy compared to the others? I had no trouble getting a gold medal on it. The S-5 test is quite difficult though as the Bugatti doesn't handle well.

It's been a while, but I think I remember all the S tests (or at least the gold times) to be easier on GT6 than on GT5. The Veyron was definitely the worst though because that thing is a POS to drive.

Definitely not. Not meaning to boast, but I found the S License to be actually easier to gold than all others (especially for GT standards, and I'm probably only an avarage driver). I have gilded all within one or two tries, whereas I haven't even able to get silver on all GT6 S-class tests. Unless they changed it with Spec II, I only played the Academy Edition.

I have no idea if they updated it at all - I always go for all the license tests right off the bat (a habit dating back to the old games where getting the gold prize cars were always the best way to start off and save your initial credits), so it would've been close to launch in both cases.

Maybe it's just because GT6 is more recent, or I improved dramatically during the time between (which I suppose is possible, considering how much I played GT5), but I didn't find the GT6 S Golds to be annoying. In fact, the only real memory I have of it is with the terrible Veyron.

Man, I'm eating some serious crow on the Ferrari Enzo and FXX. When I first tried them, mainly the Enzo, I thought they were crap. Seemed like they couldn't turn and couldn't brake.

I don't know if Poly fixed them, or just that they go so blisteringly fast it only seemed like I couldn't turn or brake. I'm kinda suspecting it's the latter.

Man, I need some serious funds in this game but FUCK grinding for them. And FUCK microtransactions, which has killed any chance of free credits from anywhere.

Red Bull races and seasonals.

Again, thank you unnamed PD guy who gave us VGT cash in the first week.

Yeah, I know. It's just so damn slow though. Circumstances mean I can't maintain any chain of login multipliers and can't dedicate as much time as I'd like to earning money.

I just want to use the cars that I paid for when I bought the bloody game!

pCARS and their 'everything unlocked at the start' philosophy is more my cup of tea, I think.

No kidding. Once it's all new assets, no standard cars, then the bar will be set. Some of the screens in this page are amazing, if we can get that type of IQ in game, that's great too.

Speaking of games that are never finished. Just been reading about the reductions in features and 'mainstreamification' of Project Cars. I was hoping that could be a possible replacement for GT... /sigh.

Guess I'll have to finally give in and buy a good PC, Assetto Corsa looks quite tasty.

I haven't played AC but it does look like the next best step for most GT fans.

Me too, i think this is a good model for grown ups with jobs, family and a social life. The stupidity of grinding was bearable when i was 15 and had no life, now i just leave the game dusting off in the case.

There´s probably 100 cars in GT6 i would like to drive but i won´t have time to do it due to stupid unlocks and grinding for money.

Well I wasn't following development, not being able ot play it, but my inquiries were started by reading this today, and I've read hints in passing before which now make sense in light of that.

Not that I'm surprised that they've toned down the promised features, I play GT after all ;-)

the lack of updates after they said they'd reach out to fans more is absolutely bizarre.

and kaz hasn't tweeted since last christmas.

what are these people doing.

Indeed, all the cars should be available in arcade and online from day 1.

If you want all cars the easy way download this save: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gy5059wt26x7060/GRAN+TURISMO+6+(BCES01893)+1.04+SUPER+SAVEGAME.rar with every car (update 1.04) and 50m credits and resign with bruteforce savedata. Not sure about using it online though so best use it with a secondary PS3 user account for offline use.

Hi guys. Due to the PS4 launch, I skipped out on GT6 as I don't have a PS3 anymore, so I was wondering if I missed out? I loved GT5 to bits, (I bought a year later so avoided a large chunk of the problems it had at launch) and the GT franchise as well. I heard 6 wasn't that big of a change?

I'm new at gaf, always wanted to get some proper feedback from people who've played large chunks of it. Will definitely pick up GT7!

Did we ever got paid DLC for GT6? Or has it all been free?
We haven't gotten any car packs yet right? (outside of GT concept cars)

It seems every other month people will switch between saying it's the worst Gran Turismo game ever, and saying this is what Gran Turismo should be. I wouldn't come here for opinions on it.

I personally love it, and have loved it since launch, but I'm in the minority on that one.

If you've played the older ones you mostly know what you're getting. I don't think it would be worth it to re-buy a ps3 for it alone but that's my opinion.

Nope, no paid DLC or car packs outside VGT.

Thanks, but what do you mean by 'resign with bruteforce savedata'?

So I can get the Thrustmaster T80 Racing Wheel for PS3/PS4 for a decent price. This may be a stupid question but this is compatible with GT6, right?

Bruteforce Save Data ( a PS3 save game resigner / editor ) uses one of your saves - it takes the save data user ID so you can resign / rebuild other people's save games so they work on your system.

Each user account on the PS3 has a different ID so you need a save from where you plan to use this save.

Can someone please explain how the car selection in Quick Match works? If you choose your own car will it take the setup you have on it or reset to default?

I've been into the menu of one of them and it seems that you can still have all the assists you like, so it's a bit silly to start with, but the blurb on the current Megane event at least claims that 'the car is the same so it's purely down to skill' so I don't know about car setup?

You can keep car setup. I believe they say that to differentiate it from 500pp/GT3/etc. races where players have different cars.

Maintenance tomorrow, Alpine VGT?

OK, that makes sense, thanks.

How hard can it be to cater to most people, you only need a few events.

1) Set assists / Set car and setup
2) Any assists / Set car and setup
3) Set assists / Different cars and setups
4) Any assists / Differents cars and setups

Last night i tried to play GT6 online. I liked the idea of this Megane event and i tried to get in, there were 46k races, so i though it would be like Team Deathmatch in COD, easy to get in and out.

I tried multiple times, once i finally got into a lobby i had to wait 260 seconds for the race. Then people started dropping, once the counter hit zero it went back to 260.

Tried joining once again, same shit. For the third or fourth time with GT6 once my online experience hits 30 minutes and no races i just quit.

I´m yet to complete a full race online in GT6, which is ironic considering the amount of time i had in Prologue and GT5.

I thought quick races would solve that. I know my internet is complete garbage, but it doesn´t stop me from playing COD or some sports games... is it really so hard and time consuming to race GT6 online or it´s just bad luck?
