I've been saving all my material for my main trick weapon, since I haven't really found another one and I am not sure about upgrading the guns, is there any point to that? does it make parrying easier? or just increase the damage they deal? cause if it is the latter then I see no point in wasting the upgrade material
How far are you? You find enough upgrade material honestly. I had 99+ for awhile now. I upgraded Bloodtinge at the end after I finish upgrading everything to 25. Your gun does do more dmg and I normally spam my gun when a boss is about to die.
It is? There doesn't seem to be any other open routes. I've explored everywhere else and the dude in Hunter's Dream told me to look for a new path open in Oedon.
If you buy the key for 10k souls you can open a gate that leads to the next boss. Since the key becomes available after you beat CB you never need to go to Old Yarnham.

Let him heal. He only has one vial and he's quite determined to use it, so let him. Just play defensive until he does, and then throw 3 poison knives at him to poison him. Voila.

Upgrading your guns causes them to do higher damage. That seems to be all as near as I can tell, but it's worth it. Sometimes an enemy gets low health and you need to chip damage them. Last night I finished off a very difficult boss with four bullets.

There is a cage in the middle of the room near the ledge that will take you to the abyss, and you will see the mother brain eyes.
Before killing her, do the gesture "Make Contact" to get the Moon 25% rune.
Then beat the shit out of her to get the string.

Forbidden Woods and Hemwick Chanel Lane (or whatever its called)
. I went outside the front door (straight from the lamp) in the Cathedral ward
where you sent sane people for safety
and looked to the left but don't see her there (I have bought the 10k key and opened all gates, to my knowledge). I checked in front of the Grand Cathedral and also at the
Tomb of Oedon
but she isn't in any of those spots. I even went to her first location in the sewers but she isn't there either. Anyone have any ideas?
Farming the Cathedral gets me 10K in about five minutes. Last night I only went there so I could replenish my antidotes and molotovs for the BSB, but then I found three new areas and got killed by some craaaazy stuff. So all of a sudden it was midnight and I hadn't gone back to fight BSB.

Do you think it's viable to go almost full Bloodtinge build with Chikage/Evelyn? I suppose you'd have to put a lost of points into Vit to not die on your own as well as investing some on Dex as well in order to use the Chikage in 1H mode and something else until I can get that.
Any suggestions? lol
#TeamPIMPCANE. Finally beat VA, that was some intense quick dodging and whipping, I felt like a BOSS when I finally got her down.
Also got through that witchy forest, pretty easy, beat the boss there and lvled up to 48.

One of the npcs told me about that place and that it was worth a look, I think it was the guy at the hub. So is it that door at the top surrounded by vases? If so, how do I get in?

I am having trouble finding someone to do vicar Amelia with. 2 days in a row of sitting out front and no one connects. Set to worldwide and everything.
In my personal playtime, I have found it most beneficial to ring the bell near the lamp, and let it try to connect as you make your way to the boss. Doesn't always work, but I've had better success this way instead of just doing it in front of the boss room and waiting.

Suspend/Resume also breaks summoning as well, just a heads up. I've been closing the application manually and turning off the PS4 all the way now, but idk if all those steps are necessary

To get to the place he is talking about there are only 5 required bosses. I don't think a living string will drop in a chalice dungeon until you've found it in the world.
