So you get a good stream of these during the game? I should just dump them into my saw cleaver (my only melee weapon so far)?

Blood shards can only take you to +3 for a weapon. To fortify to +4, you'll need Twin Blood Shards, then to fortify from +6 to +7 you'll need Blood Chunks. Finally, from +9 to +10, you need a Blood Rock.

I got so many Blood Shards, I was able to upgrade 4-5 different weapons just for the hell of it. Now I need Chunks to upgrade my Threaded Cane +6.

Nope, you'll have to live with the consequences of your actions.

It's just what I did read around there, but don't take it as confirmed, that's why I asked too.

Honestly, I like 120 too, but I can see 100 being the level for PvP, you don't really need as much END like in DS and you can do builds at that level.

It's still not enough to hit the hard caps for both VIT & your offensive stat while having decent END, something is gonna be sacrificed, not to mention the misc. stats needed to do flexible builds, at level 100 it's impossible to make a viable arcane/strength build or bloodtinge/skill build.

PvP is going to be completely boring without any variaty or flexibility at lvl100.

tonight. Feels like I'm still pretty early in the game, but the level design has been masterful so far. I love creeping through each new area, not knowing where to go or what any of the enemies can do. Got to savor this experience while it lasts; it's never the same after the first time.

Also, the threaded cane is cool and all, but I hope I find another skill weapon soon. Nothing but strength gear so far. The

Just wait till after the hunter fight after you kill Rom. Then the Blades of Mercy wil be available to buy then you will love that skill weapon. I have them to +6 and my cane is +9 I love the combo. Glad I went skill weapons

Μan the game is hard and unforgiving, but at the same time it makes you feel like a really powerful motherf**er in later stages and when you are upgraded/leveled up...

I am now wielding Ludwig's 2 handed sword and my God I rip enemies to shreds...

Such an amazingly balanced system... you feel powerful as you lvl up, but at the same time danger is always around, challenge is always there...

Amazing game.
