I'm italian and I have a PSN account just for plus. the italian store is very pricey compared to the US store and they usually don't have deals and releases on the proper time. Also, in general, every italian content sucks nowadays.

But Italians do pay the same price for their PS+ subscription, don't they? If the price remains the same, what's wrong with more extras?

I can see your concern though. You don't want to feel like the money you're paying goes partially towards non-gaming goodies/discounts that you have potentially no interest in. Personally, I wouldn't mind. As far as PS+ games go, PS+ is already easily overdelivering in value imo. They don't really need to add even more value, but yeah I wouldn't mind.

My subscription can't possibly be this plus.

Discounts on retail pricing on Sony gear would have to get quite high for me before it ended up being cheaper than buying from third party sales, overseas etc.
