Yeah- I'd definitely put the Witcher folks at least in the neighborhood of Avellone. They definitely have the ability to express multiple shades of morality in complex issues. Witcher 2 Iorveth spoiler
I also think that production values- the voice-acting and profundity of cut-scenes make up any difference in writing ability, as the level of credibility and immersion into the narrative is very much enriched by these factors. I can hear Zoltan and Geralt's voices in my head, and I haven't played the first two games in years at this point.
I remember quite liking the conversation between Geralt and Iorveth as the former guides the latter (hands bound) across the city

I will reiterate it, but those shadows are from a time of day change letting the sun shine through a window... and geralt is just standing next to a point light in one and not the other. They are the same basically otherwise.

Well they said console version is equivalent to PC High and journalists said that side by side console was very close. They said PC had a little nicer foliage and textures. From those who have seen it I would say the console version should at least be comparable to this
Doubt its Ultra. CDProjekt Red said they will not show Ultra before launch.

Well, I don't think it matters as technically the console version would look the same (it isn't like the difference between versions would show on a small compressed gif)

This is beautiful.
It literally is the best looking open world game ever. It can hang among the best looking games overall. Really don't know what else it can do to impress.

Man i will be lost just taking everything in term of the whole atmosphere like everywhere just walking listening to all the little details. CDPR went above and beyond with this simply stunning.
Love how Geralt reads out the ESRB rating!

Overall it still looks great. Everyone will be better off if they do not expect to see the same visuals they saw in the E3 trailer.

The seemed to have improved the lip sync compared to Witcher 2. Trailer reminded me of the Red Dead Redemption trailers.

Yennefer owns a stuffed unicorn. Hearing Geralt tell it, it is the least comfortable place for sex ever. Even worse than levitating in the air.

This game shits on a lot of favorites around here *ahem* Bloodborne, Skyrim. The only RPG that can take it's mantle is Dragon's Dogma 2. It's all about control for me. Haven't played Bloodborne, but its combat system is not as robust as TW 2/3 or DD. It's the only thing that prevents BB from being a game I play and worship.

Yeah, in Witcher 2 you could deflect the arrows right back at the attacker as well if you got the skill from skill treeHoly shit you can defend against arrows with your sword?! Was this there in the previous games?
