New Halo 5 teaser - Spartan Locke armor set

Im laughing so hard.

I think Bloodborne, a game with largely the same color palette, is much more aesthetically pleasing. I'm simply not wowed by simple tricks like failing to render the full screen. Even though I'm not subjectively attracted to either game given the style and color palette I still recognize that Bloodborne is a technically better product, and not just slightly.

I think H5s color palette and presentation style could use some work. In the beta I felt that the blue and red armor used for the teams was overly simplistic, but that might just be to make them stand out more from the backgrounds.

That trailer was bad and lol at the exaggeration of the abilities. Also, I did not like how the Jackal looked. That jumped out to me too.

The Physically Based Rendering system in the Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta wasn't working correctly.

I watched this again but on my computer instead of my phone, and had the same reaction: DAMN. So awesome. I never stopped to think about how all the new spartan abilities could help improve campaign. They could really make things feel faster paced and more exciting. They could even have new enemy types that are designed around the new abilities. I'm a huge Halo fan, but the campaigns have grown stale to me, and anything that freshens them up is welcome to me.

Man, I'm just so fucking impressed by this teaser. Say what you will about 343, but they (and the partners they work with) are pretty damn good at cinematic stuff.

Are we basing hype for games on how much seemingly senseless action we can cram into a 60 second reel? This did nothing for me.

But then I'm not the type to give a shit about multiplayer exclusive cosmetic-only stuff.

Awesome display of a Spartan, however, will I be doing stuff like that when I'm playing? Thruster pack doesn't suffice etc., I want to jump out a pelican from a very high height and not have it be a cut scene.

Also, lol at that voiceover and boo! pre order bonuses.

My hype is based off of a few thing:

1. That was a really fun trailer.

2. I'm excited about the possibilities enabled by the new spartan abilities. New enemy types, new attacks from old enemies, more over-the-top scenes like driving a mongoose off a ramp and onto a Scarab in Halo 3, etc.

3. We know the campaign is gonna take us to Sanghelios.

sexy.

Can´t wait for actual gameplay at E3!

Unless you're specifically looking for campaign gameplay, there is plenty of footage from the H5 beta floating around.

.

Hopefully in that level, we get to jump ourselves out of a Pelican and ground pound into a destructible structure ;)

I came back post-comment after having realized this for myself.

Sweetness.
