It didn't get its name due to any religious reason. It's named after Bethesda, Maryland, the city where they were originally located.

They did make office software before getting into video games. Not sure where the "From" part came from though.

Team Ico isn't their real name though. They're just a development team within Japan Studios. Team Ico has been adopted by their fans (and subsequently the media) but I'm pretty sure that's never been used by Sony themselves. I certainly can't find anything mentioning that name on the WWS or Japan Studios website, even when specifically looking at their games.

I would assume they got their name from that concept that "cellar door" is one of the "most beautiful sounding" english word combinations. It gained extra popularity amongst nerds when Donnie Darko referenced it.
