Suicide Squad - Cast Photo (In Costume)

to me this looks sort of like slightly above average (if that) cosplay, and for a movie, sort of ridiculous.

somehow, the avengers, which consist of people in capes with magic hammers and giant green monsters, look far less ridiculous than this lot.

sorry to be negative, but wow, that's my impression. maybe I'm alone.

I'm out. Everything I've seen from this movie tells me that WB just doesn't get it.

Always a weird comment. They look fine. These guys aren't superheroes that are trying to look vibrant and inspiring. Most of them just want to kill shit. Outfits suit who they are.

Just not seeing the issue some are having of "they don't get it."

Katana has just the most over-clishéd, stereotypical design ever. Yes, we get it, she's Japanese. Seriously...

They all look rather uninspiring to me. They're trying to do the grounded look, but it just turned out dull. Hopefully they'll look better in the film.

Hahahaha sounds like a challenge

Dude ain't even japanese

Isn't Killer Croc supposed to be sort of gigantic hulking mutant? He's basically just a dude with a mask on.

DC has done everything in their power since the new 52 started to bury the classic harley look.

All part of DC's plan for me to not give them money, sadly, that and their stubborn refusal to compete with Marvel Unlimited in any way shape or form.

Smith must be scared for his acting career lately if he can stomach not being in the center.

Every indication has been that the film is going to be the Deadshot and Harley show, even with as big a cast as it has. I don't think Will has to worry much at all.

at last, for christ's sake
currygan plz. i need it after all this mickey mouse bullshit in the last few years. let us dream.

wonder if they'll go with a lot of licensed music in here.

hey mate I'm with you. I don't care about these characters, but if a movie's good I'll watch it. I don't think it will tho

Is this movie going to be R rated ? Please tell me it is R rated.
I was thinking about this. I doubt WB would go for it... But with how grimy this looks, Harley Quinn and Enchantress' revealing costumes, the violence in the comics, and with David Ayer directing, it's enough to be considered.

I guess a bunch of people in here don't know what suicide squad harley looks like. This version is very covered up in comparison.

TAS Harley is LOOOOOONG gone.

Yeah right. I think enough of us play DC games and have seen her in other forms to know that version doesn't get represented much anymore. Nonethless there's nothing stopping them from doing it or something close to it.

Honestly, I even like the design from Arkham Knight. At least there it has some nice touches based on the old design.

Assault on Arkham was PG-13. I dont think this needs to be R

classic example of a costume that wouldn't translate well to screen at all, as much as I like it.

Idk, Marvel's knocking into orbit

Never thought this would translate

And yet

I dont think the jester hat would translate well, but a black-red checkered outfit could be made realistic

I think you misread what I mean by ridiculous.

Comic Book movies are, by necessity, ridiculous. If you try to make people look edgy and serious and raw it comes off like a joke. The Avengers/Marvel movies work, at least to the extent that they do work, because they just embrace being a silly comic book movie and embrace the colorful costumes.

The vision looks like a man with his face painted. It was obvious and distracting while watching the movie. It was bad. His actor was good though.

Depends entirely on which comic you actually adapt.

Suicide Squad is a really fucking dark and weird series full of dark and weird people

In terms of tone they nailed it

Saw this on Facebook and thought it was a cosplay group shot for Comic Con or something. I'm sure they'll look better in motion but not impressed with this image alone.

Also looks like Harley has "puddin" tattoo on her thigh.

Was kinda hoping we would get a hulk kind of Killer Croc but that would require him being entirely CG so not surprised.

I think everyone hated CA's look in TA, his redesign was great.

Nothing in this comes of as edgy anymore then stuff in Marvel movies. Also Suicide Squad is not known for color. Nothing here looks any sillier than Captain America's hideous outfit in the screenshot posted.

Dunno about this, it really looks like the cast photo for a television series. Like if you put this photo next to a Gotham cast photo, that would arguably have better costume design.

Harley is the only one I like and even then her costume is kinda generic.

This settles it, Suicide Squad is my #1 most anticipated comic book flick. It's ahead of everything else on the horizon.

Please don't screw this up, WB/DC.
