Nintendo - Amiibo Milestone: Shipments Reach 10.5 million

vinnygambini

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
At the same time, "Smash Bros." of the Wii U version, but is about amiibo that was released as a new category products, at the time of the end of the fiscal year, shipments of all the world total has reached about 10.5 million bodies. Because it was about 5.7 million bodies at the time of the end of last year, as the growth from the past year-end shopping season, it can be said that is very large.

Google translate is your best friend.

Furthermore, United States and Canada represent 66% of total shipments.

That is a massive increase especially considering it is outside of the holiday seasons. Did Amiibos release in November?

Wow! Never knew the american market was buying 66%. Thats crazy, so the rest of the world doesn't care about the locked content as much. Surprising indeed. Either way, these sales numbers are incredible.

Americans probably don't really care about the locked content either. We're just bigger suckers for toys.

Apparently 4.8 million were shipped in the 1st quarter alone

Out of 4.9 million produced most likely

I often hear the shortages are worse in EU and AUS. AUS, especially has such low stock all the time. NA is just much more louder in their anger about shortages.

Iwata does apologise for the shortages and says they are working on making more, esp. on figures that unlock stuff in other games, but that production/shipping 'takes time' and there is a limit to retail space.

I'm guessing it has more to with the Wii U doing worse in those areas the 3DS side being limited at the moment due a lack of SW and being locked to the new 3DS at the moment.

I hope Nintendo gets a discount because they aren't even getting far enough to take up space.

That's really impressive, can't say I understand the craze though.

Buy a Smash Bowser and be amazed by the best paper weight ever made. :p (I'm quite serious, we have some in the lab that we use as paper weights... and NFC slabs we repurposed to open some locks.)

How much exactly does Bowser weigh? I've heard he's feels pretty heavy.

66% to America, and yet the only way you are getting most Amiibo if you don't want to be on a computer 24/7 waiting for the second pre-orders go up to hopefully get one, is to import from other countries.

Funny.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

He's a brick compared to the lighter Samus. You could use the Bowser mmiibo as a weapon for self defense.

Too bad I can't find the ones I want without paying some scumbag scalper double or triple MSRP. Good for Nintendo though, amiibo seems to be printing money for them.

bullshit.

that's all. bullshit.

I'm fading from that amiibo game. Got everyone but Marth from the first initial run, but yea, just can't find not commons anymore without paying that extreme markup. So take that 10.5 and shove it Nintendo.

Only 5.7m #Amiibo were shipped through the end of last year, translating to 4.8m shipped in the 1st quarter.

Iwata: Some figures are selling out, causing inconvenience for customers. #amiibo that have become rare or are needed to play, or are highly requested at stores are having their supplies increased. However, these figures take time to produce, shelf space is limited and we cannot predict how much demand there is, so we're sorry that we cannot promise by what date it can be resolved.

I think people really underestimate the speed at which Amiibos can get made when the demand is not known and you have so many different toys to produce.

Remember when Amiibos were supposed to be a big flop?

I jokingly (?) hold all those people saying that there would be a ton of Villager and Wii Fit Trainer Amiibos on clearance in a few months for what happened.

Seeing so many posts mad me decide to not get both be I thought they would get discounted later.

...they were in my hand.
