lol
Don't count on it leaving handhelds.
Well I'm one of the few person who realize that hunting action game is best on handheld, so staying there is a wish of mine
So yeah by traditional gaming platform, I'm including handhelds there.
lol

Konami didn't quite the game industry. They switched to making hit mobile titles instead.
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd actually came close to 5 million; it sold 4.8 million copies, and it was on PSP only.Hey capcom you might get that monster hunter up to 5 million if you didn't have it on a 3ds only
Wait, which titles did they make on mobile?

Capcom updated million sellers list:
Resident Evil 5 - 6,800,000 (+100,000)
Resident Evil 6 - 6,200,000 (+100,000)
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - 3,400,000 (+700,000)
Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G - 2,600,000 (+100,000)
Resident Evil Revelations - 1,400,000 (+100,000)
Resident Evil Revelations 2 - 1,100,000 (NEW)
I will be surprised if it breaks 2 mil. Too much hate from casual crowd due to capcom's on disk DLC and no story mode like MK. Casuals are not interested in straight up FGs like SF. Day 1 for me ofcourse. SFIV is my top 5 games of all time.
I really don't understand how popular SF is outside of the fgc and the multiple releases make it hard to tell.
I really hope those are good numbers for Revelations 2, and REmaster. I want more Raid content for Revelations 2 followed by Revelations 3, and RE0master.
What does a million sales for RE; REV 2 mean? 1 million 6$ sales of episode 1, 1 million 25$ digital sales, 1 million 40$ boxed physical sales?
I'm sure they are. Revelations 2 sold more than they planned, and REmake was their fastest selling digital title. They did a decent amount of work on REmake but essentially it's still a port so I'm sure that broke even with even a fraction of those sales.
Better than planned? Good. Hopefully they'll start to spread out and re-release some of the older Resident Evil games on PC, I'm sure CVX HD would be easy enough to do.
Need to get a Mon Hun on PS4 now, please Capcom!
my point was to never just have it on a nintendo console when both of you are scrambling for uptake
Since they're restating Dead Rising as a major title for them, I wouldn't be surprised if Dead Rising 4 was announced this year at E3.
Crazy to think MH sales are actually getting lower. Portable 3rd sales are around 4.8 million right?
Now with a worldwide release they're this much lower? HOW? Capcom gotta be fucking scared. I hope the series sees a huge change with these poor numbers.
Whoa!
Revelations 2 already selling better than 1. After the release of the Vita version, it might even surpass that and I suspect the LTD can easily go over >2 million when all is said and done.

I belive that p3rd is considered to be the best of the series in terms of monsters and maps. Most of the 4th gen maps and monsters are honestly quite dull.Crazy to think MH sales are actually getting lower. Portable 3rd sales are around 4.8 million right?

eh, wasn't the vanilla SF 4 around 3 million on the 360 and ps3. So I don't think 2 million is unreasonable.Between all the different versions SFIV has sold over 8 million. (although that is obviously devided between a bunch of ports, Super, Ultra etc.)
SFV should be able to break 2 million easy.

Only full seasons I think.

Sucks for Capcom Vancouver then. I know at one point they were trying to make a new IP. Guess that got closed up for more DR.
I really wish I got to play P3rd man.
I fucking LOVED 3 Ultimate on Wii U but P3rd always sounded so much better to me. Fucking hate underwater fights. Too bad Sony fucked up and blocked the release of MHP3rd HD to US. Console/PC is the only way I touch the series.
Revelations 1 should also be well over 2m if you include 3DS. We never got a final shipment figure for it but given the known JP/US sellthrough it's probably 800k+ territory.Whoa!

If you don't mind emulation PPSSPP plays Portable 3rd great at 1080p, it's as good looking as Monster Hunter 3 on Wii U (it's actually the ps3 1080p game which works on the psp emu). It's patched in English too and works online.
Why even bother? There's no G Rank, Lucent Nargacuga, and Ivory Lagiacrus. It's just poor man's Mh3U at this point.

It's amazing to see Monster Hunter grow. Looks like they finally found an audience for it in the West.
It's not really growing though. It's amazing to see Monster Hunter grow. Looks like they finally found an audience for it in the West.
I don't get it either, can someone explain? Is Europe becomming a "download-only" territory for Capcom? There is a big problem here... annual shipment for Europe... 300K ?! Versus 1.2 million for US and 4.3 million for Japan.
Would that mean that Street Fighter V would be out before april 2016 in US, but not in Europe ?
All the DC games sold well and in the millions list. How come capcom never released a sequel for that? Man.....This was the time. With Jurassic park coming out DIno craze was back again. Capcom missed another good opportunity IMO.
I didn't know Revelations did that poorly. For a game of that scale on multiple current gen systems, just hitting a million probably didn't make them much money, or any at all.
That's roughly only 220,000 per platform. I wonder what the development cost for it was.
DC sold 2.4m, DC2 sold 1.2m. DC3 and Dino Stalker did even less as total sales for the franchise is about 4.4m. Sales were on the decline and DC3 got a poor reception. It's not hard to see why they dropped the series, but they only have themselves to blame considering how misguided of an effort DC3 was.
