An update. I more or less finished editing the first two posts of the OP with my suggestions. Will work on the third post later tonight or Saturday night.

I'm still a bit hesitant about removing the first program in the OP as I personally don't recommend it but a few of our regulars do. I much rather have beginners do the second program and eventually move onto Phraks GSLP Variant or Candito's LP after several months and have form down.

Keep the title suggestions coming in. Seems like bulge swelfie (sorry FE :( ) and dad bod will be in there.

Gotta a ask a redundant question. How can you get cut or toned while doing Starting Strength? Do I do the following?

Monday = SS
Tuesday = cardio or crossfit
Wed = SS
Thurs = cardio or crossfit
Fri = SS

Or

Mwf = SS in the morning and cardio/crossfit night

Tth = rest(as in lay in the couch playing video games)

Sincew im 5"8 203lbs, I was thinking my calories per day are 2200?

Yeah this is a terrible idea. Getting "toned" is just having muscles and low bodyfat. Do SS to get the muscles and adjust your diet to lose some fat.

You can do cardio if it's not too intense.

Tfw you take a side of the piano by yourself and 3 guys take the other. Also I'm hungover. This sucks. I hate helping people move hungover.

Power cleaning for reps with solid form is one of the most exhausting things you can do. Supersetting that with BB curls is pure fucking insanity.

Bulge swelfies, dad bods, something something.

If no one is making the OT, I might make it. I'll implement my suggestions if no one objects. The edits will come a bit late since I have stuff to do on Saturday and Sunday.

I don't know the nuances of submitting an OT, so feel free to inform me. Do I contact a mod or what?

hmmm dad bobs, are you beach body ready, muscle shaming...

F*ck yes. Made it though the race with my injury and didn't walk a single step. Had to keep my pace easy at 9:30. Anything faster and it started to hurt like hell. Charging onto the field for a 50-yard sprint to the finish was so damn awesome!

That's cool. What place did you get to get a medal?
Well let's see... There were 12,000+ runners so...(every finisher gets one lol). It was to support military service and they had military personnel putting medals on people at the finish. Pretty cool.

The top runner ran the 10 miles in 49 minutes...!?! Took me an hour and thirty.

Some people just didn't make it and dropped out early. One guy dropped to the ground and was carried away in an ambulance at mile 5.

Finally had a good lifting day and didn't feel like I was in a funk.

After resting Iron Sport method I was supposed to pull 10 singles at 365.

After the fifth one it felt too easy so I did 3 singles at 385 and then 2 at 405 and felt great.

It's my 2 year anniversary tomorrow so I'm planning on having a big dinner and desert and I think that will help rejuvenate me.

On the positive side, my black EliteFTS belt, which stopped fitting in January, is now on the third(!) hole. I was really happy about that

Congrats man. Beautiful day for a race...where'd the race go before Soldier Field?

Started just outside Soldier Field, ran 5 miles south on North-bound Lakeshore Drive, then there was a turn around to run 5 miles north right along the lakefront path back to the stadium. Great views of the city and lake throughout.

My uncle and a few friends live there on Lakeshore. Gorgeous area.

Lol many races do that. They have other awards for the top runners.

Yeah IMO anyone that can complete a 10 mile race deserves some recognition of the accomplishment. Some of the Disney race medals almost made me want to start running.

Almost.

Seriously, fuck running haha

lol jk, congrats on finishing the race
No it's true, but I love it. The odds of placing for a medal with so many runners, including top marathon runners from around the world, are extremely slim. Being able to run 5-minute miles is something I may never be able to do. Most people are competing only with themselves. So hell, I'll take a losers medal any day :)

Fucking hell... back day yesterday, and today I ended up doing a few hours of heavy digging (whilst fasted). I feel wrecked. My back is really complaining.

Bright side, I had a KFC after 20 hours of fasting (long than my usual) and my single meal had more than 100g of protein. :)

I eat 160-170g of protein in a single sitting everyday. is 100 a lot?

there's only a couple of posts left for this thread.

this was my 4th OT, many people have come and gone, many are missed and everyone in their one way is an inspiration.

today I went to the gym to enjoy myself, I was in the mood to move around even though I was supposed to rest. I felt the right way and went there.

managed to get a pic I liked, hopefully at the end of OT8 I am somewhere else, on both mind and soul. (lol I meant Body and Mind)

One of the posters here with the most progress. Keep working Sphinx! Looking great.

When I went the home gym route this happened to me twice inside of a month. Mostly my fault as I'd stopped wearing "gym" clothes and was squatting in PJs. I've gone back to gym pants since!

That is exactly what happened to me since I have a home gym as well, lol.

You earned that privilege with all your hard work. Do it to it!

The previous OT makers did all of the heavy lifting, I just added some stuff.

I thought of a goofy title last night but I wasn't sure about posting it:
Fitness |OT8| Train Hard and Eat Delicious for Dad Bod and Bulge Swelfie

Not sure if that is within the character limit for thread titles. I'm hoping someone can come up with a better title. I'm far from creative and witty.
