NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti has 96 ROPs

The most important news: there are as many ROP units on GTX 980 Ti as on TITAN X. This is probably why GTX 980 Ti does so well in gaming benchmarks, making it almost impossible to differentiate the two.

It is also confirmed that GeForce GTX 980 Ti has 176 Texture units, which is exactly what we expected. GeForce GTX 980 Ti has 6GB GDDR5 memory ans 384-bit interface. Card is clocked lower than TITAN X (1000/1076 vs 1000/1089 MHz), but the memory clock is still the same (7 GHz).

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
This is the card I was waiting for. $600 price tag in Australia?

Not a chance. The most recent rumoured price tag is USD$799, which is $50 more than what the 780 Ti launched at. Couple that with how shit our dollar is at the moment and you're looking at $1199 at the absolute least.

Weird that the 780 Ti is outperforming the Titan Black in those charts.
Well the regular 980 is 700 dollars in Australia roughly, at the low end.

I'll let you extrapolate from that as you please.
Hey at least you guys get all the Lian Li products.

You'd think being that close to Taiwan would be helpful :(

Man, how are people getting 56 FPS at 1080p, Very High settings, on a 7870 2GB edition with GTA5?

I never trust these benchmarks. Never enough information. Too many factors left out.

price is not confirmed, if i had to guess ill say $750 just like the 780ti

$700 would be amazing but probably won't happen. $750 would be solid. I know its only a $50 difference going from 750 to 800 but still not sure I can justify and 800 dollar card.

Wow, my card (7870 Ghz) is on a benchmark. Such a rare, bizzare thing to happen.
I'll keep my eyes on this one. Might be my future upgrade in 2016.

I really want to see how AMD's next flagship card stacks up.

It is is a expensive as this card is rumored to be (ie >$600 USD) then fuck it, I'll just wait until 14nm next year and stick with my 290.

I've seen better graphs to say the least.

Lmao yeah those graphs look amateur as hell.

Hahahahahhahaha. This is Nvidia were talking about..
True, but there's an impending 390X release. Might change the price significantly.

290s are still total beasts. They now spank 780s in most games.

Those are bullshit benchmarks because it doesn't provide the specs, resolution, nada. My 3 6GB Titan setup performs like shit in 4k on GTA 5, which is a Gameworks title.

I guess ii could substitute the price with the upgraded specs. I'm running a 770 4GB model so a 980ti would be the tits. I hope.

The 290s are amazing cards but I want a AMD card that performs well in games with heavy tessellation (this seems to be the direction we're going to get better effects).

i went from 770 4GB to a 980 and the jump was incredible, i just returned the 980 yesterday to bite on this card

They say Full HD, which is 1080 p

Why? Who would buy a high-end gaming card and run @ 1080p at this point? They need to go higher. I'd really like to see 4k SLI performance. My 6GB Titans are ready to be retired. 😄

I'm interested in the 390x too, but the 4GB makes me wary for 4k gaming.

Well "good guy AMD" is planning on launching it's flagship product at almost Titan level pricing, and this is designed to undercut that. Ball is in Red's court on pricing.

I would. Gsync monitor at 1080p. Got a 970, gonna flip it for this barring some disaster.

but ever so delicious
Not much better than a 980, Which is a little bit of a shame.

Now we wait for AMD's benchies and then ponder over upgrading for 6 months and doing nothing.
