Fallout 4 already climbed to no. 5 on steam top seller list, Fallout 3 and New Vegas also in top 20 despite having no discount.
The thirst is real.

Tad underwhelming. But hell I guess it couldn't have a worse story than F3.

I'm in regardless, but please Bethesda, don't fuck up the writing again and would it kill you to have a wider bank of art assets?

I am ashamed.

The DLC from FO3 was pretty amazing as well. One of my most vivid Fallout memories was that quest line in 'Point Lookout' which involved tracking down a missing spy and blowing up a sub....cant remember if it was one of the main quests or side quests, but it was just godlike in its narrative

Very much so. Point Lookout especially. Damn good.

Point Lookout was by far the best thing Bethesda has done Fallout-related.

Point Lookout was definitely great. I'd even put it ahead of Honest Hearts from New Vegas.

Operation: Anchorage was so-so. It was different, but nothing special.

The Pitt was pretty good. Not as good as the New Vegas DLC but not a waste of money.

Broken Steel was necessary to fix the shitty original ending. Otherwise it was ok in content.

Fuuuuck Mothership Zeta.

Yeah, Mothership Zeta was fucking terrible.

The thirst is real.

I predict a flood of refunds come next Thursday.

If anyone here thinks about buying them, wait for the summer sale.

Point Lookout was the best Fallout 3 DLC, The Pitt was also pretty good. Operation Anchorage was the only one I really didn't like.

Last/before-last gen animation in my next gen game.

It looks interesting, but man, do Bethesda make some ugly vidya. Here's hoping they turn things around drastically in that department.

It does kind of make you wonder what a 6 month delay might do. But I'm not sure Bethesda has the chops to pull off a graphics upgrade in so little time.

This is great. Cant think of any other gameseries Ive invested that much time in post N64 era.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas really busted me up.

Thus far same old: Deathclaw, Laser Rifle with mods, dog, shady guy in the shadows, Brotherhood of Steel and Vault 111.

They should really enhance the modding experience. New Vegas started it lets see how moddable guns and other stuff is. Maybe mods for armor!?

We are enemies, now (jk, I understand that opinions are divided regarding Dead Money).

Graphics to me aren't so much the issue here, the janky last gen animation is the thing that worries me from that trailer...

(I will still get it regardless because janky animation or not it will still be fallout but I can't lie and say I am not z tad underwhelmed in terms of graphical fidelity and more importantly the animations.)

I will say though I applaud them for not showing a bullshot non representative trailer, the industry needs more honesty.

Do you have some examples of the jankiness? Because I was the opposite, thought the animations looked great?

Yeah, Mothership Zeta was fucking terrible.

This is my personal ranking of the FO3/NV DLC. OWB was pretty damn fantastic as well from a Sci-Fi perspective

1. Point Lookout
2. Old World Blues
3. The Pitt
4. Broken Steel
5. Operation: Anchorage
6. Lonesome Road
7. Dead Money
8. Honest Hearts
9. Mothership Zeta

Yep, Zeta was just trash....completely forgettable and a horrible swansong for FO3. I really hope the DLC for FO4 continues the standard for FO3 because apart from OWB I thought NV's DLC was pretty poor in comparison.

I did enjoy Old World Blues though

Just an enjoy? Old World Blues is unquestionably the best of all the fallout DLC.

I'm just fearing this whole plot with the Institute is going to be a lesser version of it. Bethesda hasn't exactly wowed on their main quest lines, ever.

Not actually that important
This is the same pub pushing out Wolfenstein on consoles.

If anything I don't see how them using a modified engine of the prior games having any possibility of NOT being 60fps...

You can see the draw distance and IQ in the trailer, and both looked really sub-par. And no, you won't get 60fps in a large open world game on these consoles... and even if that would've been the case you can be sure BS would have shouted it from the roofs
You're in for a rough awakening my friend.

I don't think the game looks bad, art direction seems much much better than F3 and Skyrim, but I'm worried the animation will look like ass and human models too which would take me out of the experience much more than non state-of-the-art gfx.

I have to say, after playing Witcher 3 thems graphics ain't looking too hot. But it fits with Fallout and reminds me of 3. Besides, it's Fallout, hard not to be excited.

Can we make a list of positive things about this reveal? I'm tired of the bitching about the graphics.
I'll start:
1) Looks like they are showing game footage that could realistically run on xb1 / ps4. ie: no bullshots. (I would take this over amazing graphics and a downgrade before release anyday)
2) There is sweet sweet color.
3) Great music, and voicework.
4) Doge
5) ???

The time switch thing has to be bullshit conjecture based on the trailer. There is no way they would essentially make 2 huge open worlds and have one be completely optional.

Maybe in some specific, carefully controlled, missions but not the entire world.

What if you pressed 1 and were standing in the place that a dressor fell in the apocalyptic version? Even if they waisted the massive man hours creating two worlds, the collision system needed to allow for a seemless change between the two is beyond belief.
