Honestly, this kind of thing probably wouldn't happen if Nintendo released patch notes, but this has become the standard for every update since they refuse to. And this is what happens, Nintendo.

TF2 is datamined very often despite having very detailed patch notes. It's all about hype.

He's fairly stylised here compared to his depiction in SFV, and his comically serious demeanor is shared by a few other characters - Zelda, Ganondorf, the Samuses, Ike and Little Mac in particular; with the latter two also sharing further similarities in design with him.

During the SNES periode a lot of fans identified Super Street Fighter II with Nintendo actually.

There's like 100 versions of SF II downloadable on the eshop as well.

Yeah, this is why I don't think it'd happen, since it'd be very redundant (more so than Pichu). I'm gonna assume Pichu won't happen either, since he was meant to be replaced with Plusle and Minun, who probably won't happen for the same reasons the Ice Climbers didn't.

Ryu is the father of fighting games and a huge gaming icon with a strong history on Nintendo.

There aren't really any characters from Namco or Sega that can stand up to Ryu's claim to fame.
