the question you have to ask yourself is... what is the halo sandbox... and what would make the experience new and epic?
what was missing from halo MP modes to begin with...
better question you have to ask is does this new, epic experience have to be played on MP maps...
and with that in mind... does that tie into the reasoning for multiple campaign level completion paths... and maybe part of the reason you always have squad mates... and the need for revival...
you can play as the covenant/prometheans/whoever confirmed... reverse campaign!
Now the humanoid prometheans are starting to make sense....
The question is... how many people can join in as the "nemesis" ...or what if the game is somehow 2 campaigns.... one a direct reversal of the other and the MP mode somehow intertwines with that in some weird way... like specific missions you'll be playing as osiris and the other is playing as blue team... and somehow they intertwine usually standard MP objectives into the SP game?

If it captures my love for the series like Halo 1 and 2 did I will be happy. The beta was already my favorite online Halo experience since 2...so I'm very happy.

I'm a bit worried there's been zero mention of any other modes besides this new MP mode. Makes me think all time and effort aside from campaign and arena went there.
Don't get me wrong, if it's fantastic I'll be stoked, but I'll miss firefight or what Spartan ops 2.0 could have been.

I don't say this with confidence because i'm not very sure but I believe Kevin Franklin might be working on the new MP mode, and I think he was head of MP for Halo 4 so he could be influencing it in that sort of BTB, loadout fashion.

Competitive Forge mode. Each team gets a monitor and limited number of resources.

Infinity meets Invasion meets Firefight/Spartan Ops. Large scale levels like what Ntkrnl was talking about, it's the reason sprint is unlimited, invasion style objectives, coupled with Firefight/Spartan Ops enemy AI/bot waves. Maybe that's what the new mode could be? Otherwise, BTB pretty much incorporates the entire sandbox as it is, so there has to have been a reason they said this new mode does it all.
Frankie already told us Checkspectations though. Bonnie and Josh will probably only be given like 5 minutes in the conference.

Seeing as i'm staying up until the early hours of the morning to watch it I sure hope so.
Oh my god, worked so damn much these last two day. Did like 8 hours yesterday and almost 13 today.
E3 is gonna be sick, looking forward to tomorrow's announcements even though
2 leaked. Also really looking forward to the Halo 5 stuff on monday, and anything else that's unannounced. Other than Fallout 4, Halo 5, Uncharted 4, TLOU 2 (fingers crossed), there aren't a whole lot of IPs that I'm looking forward to. I hope that there are a lot of new IPs... I'm holding my breath for Jak and Daxter 4 or Banjo-Threeie.
