This most definitely started out as Metroid Prime multiplayer prototype. Interested in seeing more.

but slower

so hyped for that game.

anyway, i can see a lot of Potential with Blastball. might benefit more from a Wii U version in my opinion, but fun looking nevertheless

*edit* Clutch stuff in the stream

It looks cool, hopefully it isn't f2p like people here are suggesting, I want it to have some decent depth

Steel Diver: Sub Wars, which is still my reference point for this game, had a fairly interesting competitive multiplayer on about the same scale. Then again, I haven't touched it since they started tying the free-to-play model to 3DS Play Coins.

Looks like those indie games on steam that you get from a 1$ bundle and forgetting about it forever.

The fact that its a multiplayer focused game on 3ds just makes things much worse.

Soo... maybe there'll be more weapons or mechs than what they're showing? The game as is doesn't strike me as something very compelling. Shoot the ball until it gets into the goal and maybe take it to the face a couple times to keep your progress and not let the ball go too far back. You respawn anyway if you get "disabled".

That championship stream went straight from blast ball to Super Metroid. They aren't even trying to hide the inspirations.

With that metroid music and motif, wouldn't it be cool if blastball was just the multiplayer portion of a new metroid game

Eh i like it, looks fun. Not sure about the scope of the game, but don't really care especially if it's an eShop game.

Could it really be that Next Level Games is doing this? Artstyle kind of reminds me of those Metroid artworks.

Looks like a re-invented Metroid Prime Hunters from Nintendo Software Technology and Kensuke Tanabe.

eShop probably.

Two team focused online shooters from Nintendo first party studios in one year.

When the hell did I enter Bizarro world and how the hell do I make sure I never leave?

Huh, neat. Wonder if Nintendo Software Technology is handling this, since it vaguely reminds me of Metroid Prime Hunters.

Doesn't interest me personally, but I do like that Nintendo is reinventing these different shooter sub genres with some fresh ideas.

Yo, I could've sworn I saw a GFS helmet when someone got ejected from their mech,

The logo curvature is also like Other M's
