It was good though, not a lot of entrants. They started off with a round robin which was different, but I liked the change. Top 2 from each pool gets seeded into the bracket.
I finally beat Rawbertson after taking so many L's. I had to play the lamest I've ever played and it paid off. Practicing against Emperor Bohe'sHondaNeutral jump stop sign actually helped me learn how to punish it properly.
I choked against LES in the Winners Finals, I came back from down 0-2, brought it all the way back to the final round, final seconds.. we trade on slides and his won lmao.FANIfsansafas
Then I got bodied by 1up Van, he played the matchup the way Juri can dominate it and I had no answers, should've switched to Yun tbh.
I beat Catatonic, he really choked though. It was 3/5 and we both thought it was 2/3, so when he beat me 2-0, we shook hands then we found out it was 3/5, I ran it back all the way back and won 3-2. My cousin gave me #BASED coaching tips that really helped me exploit the way he was playingfucc anybody that hates on coaching b
Even though I went Knicks vs Reggie Miller status, I'm happy with the way I played, I was able to play a lot more patient and less hectic which was usually getting me killed in the Honda matchup. Just doing too much instead of just sitting there and playing footsies/having to put up with doing an anti air that only does 30 damage but is very solid.

its my panic button to get out of the corner against gief. i was taught if no one punishes it, keep on doing that shit lol. vulva punished me a bunch of times so i held back a little against him.
snake eyez told me you can punish it. forgot how, i think the majority of the cast has a way to punish it, you just gotta experiment. you have to block his rolls (all of them) standing so while in block stun just block high and try ex green hand or st lk into ex green hand. should work.

I don't think gief has a punish. EX GH doesn't seem to work consistantly. I think the only times it worked was when you actually his a button afterwords.

So considering that KBR's Wolverine team beat Cloud805 6-3 in grand finals this weekend, I'd say KBR is ready for Evo.
The only player I haven't seen him beat is F. Champ, dude is his demon. Other than that, it would be nice to see KBR in Top 8.

Yeah I think FChamp is gonna be a tough wall to climb for KBR and Full Schedule. Champ has way too much experience against PR Rog for KBR's inexperienced Wolverine team to be enough of a threat.
Against the field though, I think KBR's Wolverine will be pretty effective. And that's when he even feels the need to switch away from big bodies. He plays it in his normal yolo style which is a great fit for team PR Rog.
Anime folks: so I believe p4u2 console is ver 1.1 and I'd imagine thats what they are running at evo. Isn't that a terrible look? Last official game I heard about running a version behind was slash the year accent core came out, although I guess that's a much more considerable difference. What is taking them so long with the update?

A new version of BB that just came out, that's what.
That's my guess anyway. I have no idea how many teams they have or how they decided to stagger their releases/updates.

Just as likely Atlus; Xrd was updated in arcades after P4U2, and that update already came to consoles months ago.

Actually that's the more reasonable answer. P4A is the only game that has major differences compared to other ASW ones, like localization practices and so on.

I considered the possibility of them releasing it as a new disc like BBCP extend but I don't think that will happen.
It's something weird with Atlus. Atlus announced months ago that the update wouldn't be available at Evo so they're at least aware of it.
Probably has something to do with whatever their release plan is for it. Considering the game came out less than a year ago, if they're doing a paid update they're probably trying not to commit complete release suicide.
It has good sides and bad sides. Good side is more competitive tournament, gives the game legs post Evo if the update is coming. Bad sides is version parity is off. Personally I'm okay with the former as are most Persona players.

played one game of SF5 at anime expo. I believe it was the e3 build considering how close the events are.
I tried ryu since I would have a base to compare which game he is most like.
I like the game. Ryu walk speed is slower but his dash feels much faster than sf4. It feels more akin to 3s. The pacing is pretty good and overall from the one game I had to mess around, I liked it. I guess its also good to put out that I don't like playing sf4.
So movement feels more "fluid" and things feel more responsive. V-trigger feels fun to use as well.
There are two things that stuck out that I was like "what?". Ryu's OH feels slower, a lot slower. Maybe its just me but the person I played against mashed jab to CH me. The next was that ryu's V-skill felt pretty useless for parrying MP/MK type normals. Often times it felt like they were still safe due to recovery of the parry animation.

Evo doesn't allow late/at the door registration. They're super upfront about this, and people had 5 months to fucking register. He didn't register.

Officially they don't, unofficially who knows? I vaguely remember the Dieminion thing but I can't remember if that was Evo or what. I think it's more of a logistical issue for Evo staff because the tournament is so incredibly huge that allowing late registration at the door or whatever is probably an incredible nightmare. The registration cutoff is probably necessary just to literally get brackets and stuff done, I don't think brackets are even technically final yet and registration ended almost 6 days ago. I don't envy them.
He didn't even start the fundraiser until about 12 hours before Evo registration ended, and it looks like he only raised $25 looool.
I like Marn and his Marvel performance last year was hilarious and would love to see him in it, but I hate it when people don't play by the rules and try to either use top player privilege or whine about it (which is what he's been doing for days).
