Anime Expo 2015 Panel Summaries-

Trigger AX 2015 Panel
zZEgp3Q.jpg
-Yoshinari: Working on LWA 2 until three days ago so excuse me if I’m tired.
Naoko Tsutsumi: Not a joke, was working on this until three days ago and worried how the final product looks.
-Imaishi: Was at AX five/six years ago for TTGL and was surprised by all the energy and heard from Sushio about all the energy he received and was interested about the feedback here.
-Everyone started chanting “Sushio”, despite Sushio not being there. lol
-Imaishi wanted to know what appealed to fans over here.
-Someone that represented the crowd stated that people had complained about the anime industry becoming stale and KLK was the opposite of being stale.
-Imaishi: “We don’t get that same amount of respect in Japan”. lol
-When Imaishi drew illustration for 3rd KLK cover, he hadn’t drawn anything KLK related for awhile so he had to rewatch the final episode and was surprised at how fun it was.
-They aired a G version of Sex and Violence. They cropped the shit out of it and had to take cuts out of it. lolololol
-“When you watch it at home, please make sure your parents aren’t home and the door is locked.”
-Imaishi: Asked the audience if they were familiar with Street Sharks as he had started collecting them.
-Sex and Violence was limited to five colors and the animators did the backgrounds.
-Every year anime gets more complicated and so he wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
-Waka: It might be a bit crude but we wanted a love romance between a shark and love doll.
-Amemiya told Imaishi that he can’t draw any of the females for Ninja Slayer
-Imaishi: I like drawing all these hulking guys. *sarcastic
-Imaishi: “Every week four or five of these characters get killed so I’ve designed a lot of these characters.”
-Our director Amemiya is passionate about toys, so many of the designs have holes in the back or slots of where to put batteries.
-All these effects are supposed to reflect the chrome color of toys.
-Otsuka almost cried in laughter when people started cheering for Inferno Cop.
-Imaishi: Maybe we should move out West.
-Otsuka: Worried about feedback for LWA 2 as they haven’t seen the final product (probably exaggeration). They are concerned about the quality.
-Yoshinari: “I just saw Ninja Slayer and Sex and Violence. Guess I’m the last fort in Trigger to save the studio from these crude animations.”
-Waka: I disagree. I think the cheap and high quality side can coexist.
-They showed the clip of Inferno CopxLWA from Animenext here.
-Waka: What did you think of the InfernoxLWA? *crowd cheers*
-Yoshinari: “I expect a lot more applause tomorrow.”
-Imaishi: Guess I found out Trigger is popular in America. Thank you everyone I’ll be back with a new work.
-Yoshinari: “Wow. Really? Inferno Cop? I just don’t know anymore. I don’t know if my talents are appreciated in the west anymore.”
-Naoko: Guess it’s not full of lies that Inerno Cop is popular in the west. Suppose we can tell the truth.
-Waka: Season 2 confirmed. Even if Otsuka stops me I’ll do it.
-Otsuka: We’re having a talk later.

New Trigger original anime shown. Only character designs and one shot of setting was shown. The character designs reminded me of Persona in that they’re all 16-17 and have that sort of casual attire that looks like modified school uniforms. One character looked like a younger Dojima and another character like Kanji. There were also a couple of female designs shown. The designs looked fairly serious in that there was no fanservice or anything of that nature. The one shot of the setting was that it overlooked a modern city and there was a large prominent bridge in the shot. The teaser apparently came fairly early so we weren’t allowed to ask questions on it. So probably not a Fall show.

Should mention that I expect the director to be Nishigori based on his comments at Anime Matsuri but nothing inherently in the teaser to indicate that. Designs definitely don't look like Imaishi.

Daisuki Panel
-Aikawa wrote the script for Concrete Revolutio on his own.
-With Concrete Revolutio he was wondering how superheroes would interact in a somewhat surreal world.
-There are magical girls. Mentioned twice.
-Said that while he might appear nostalgic, he wants to create something new.
-In the last few years, many Japanese creators are shocked in how things that were originally Japanese has been transformed by the West like Pacific Rim.
-With CR he wants to create something new.
-He mentioned that George RR Martin’s Wild Cards was an inspiration for him. I asked whether he was inspired by any other contemporary writers and he stated George Orwell and Alan Moore. Yes I know Orwell isn’t contemporary but that was his answer.

UBW Panel
ACsODJZ.jpg

They showed snapshots of the insides of Ufotable's studios. They're super rich.
-UBW backgrounds were done by hand
-The UBW OST was made to the animation, film score style. Supposedly very rare.
-Someone asked about the character design for UBW like Rin’s lack of nose. Why was there a change?
Staff: For UBW, this was the first time they worked with Tabata (Rin’s character designer) and he had a reputation for designing cute girls.
-Why wasn’t there anything like a kiss or sex or anything in the epilogue?
Miura: At the storyboard stage there is a lot of romance between Shirou and Rin.
-Question asked about if Heaven’s Feel is getting the Kara no Kyoukai treatment.
Miura(I think it was him): My personal fantasy was to make a six hour film. However it’s only going to be one theatrical production.
Also seems like Miura is directing again. There have been some complaints that this answer was mistranslated. I don’t know if that’s from salty Sakura fans but whatever, noted.
-At the beginning they did consider doing all three routes but had to pick one.
-Favorite characters?
Miura: In flux but Sakura.
Kondo: Sakura. Had to give everything to Shinji as a substitute.
Sudou: As I deal with everyone, everyone.
-Question asked about the process of how new Nasu scenes were added.
Miura: Nasu added lines like “Have you overcome the challenge?” And Gilgamesh saying “What is your value?”. I don’t remember those exact lines but whatever.
-All Ufotable scripts are written in-house. That gives them some degree of flexibility as they can change earlier scripts while working on later episodes.
-They don’t have plans for releasing UBW background art.
Question to Miura about the difference in directing UBW compared to the sixth Kara movie.
Miura: UBW was much more difficult. However we had a whole lot more staff members working on the TV show. I Also had a lot of 1 to 1 with Nasu for the TV show and it was rewarding working with him.
-Release date for HF undetermined. Working on it.

Sunrise Panel
-Sunrise branch will target adult viewers
-Newly formed Bandai Namco Pictures will focus on merchandising when creating/producing anime series.
-Sunrise music publishing will take on music for all Sunrise produced shows
-Classicaloid: Music(called musique in the show) powers giant robots or cause meteor showers
-New Gundam series being announced 7/14. Announcement will be English subtitled. There is a big international push with this.

LWA Panel

-Unlike the first episode where he just did scripts, Otsuka essentially co-directed. Otsuka tried to downplay it but it’s clear he did much more with LWA2.
-Otsuka: “Japanese audiences are kinda quiet so it’s hard to know whether they liked it or not. For Americans it’s like a live feed”. Chants of “USA USA USA”.
-Yoshinari’s response to reactions: “Too real and I’m a bit insecure about it. I might be getting a bit cocky and could get into trouble if I go back to Japan feeling this way.”
-Imaishi: “The finished film was pretty decent.” In a downplaying but joking manner.
-They planned to finish earlier. It got to a point that if they didn’t finish by AX, they weren’t ever going to finish. Tattun was constantly nagging Tsutsumi about when they were going to finish. Send your thanks to Tattun about getting this out the door.
-Original version of LWA2 was very different. Just constant battles, an occasional car chase, and monsters. Story didn’t even take place at Luna Nova anymore. Akko would be riding a dragon with her friends and a secret society would be chasing her with guns. Romance between some new male character and Akko. None of their ideas (Wakabayashi and Imaishi) went through.
-Otsuka: “If we had taken those ideas into account we would have made a 150 minute film. Would have turned out like KLK. You guys do your own stuff.”
Yoshinari: “Problem wasn’t the ideas but the budget. I like explosions too. Maybe in the future.”
Otsuka: “When you do, please give me a call.”
-Yoshinari, in regards to Amanda: “I think I was a little influenced by KLK.”
-Yoshinari, in regards to Constanze: “I was told I needed to make three new characters so I decided to make one that didn’t talk at all.”
Yoshinari, in regards to Yasna: “Been checking Western cartoons and noticed more round characters so I thought that was what our Western audience would like.”
-Yoshinari talking about the LWA 2 backgrounds: Since Kaneko (Yuki Kaneko) worked on KLK, his backgrounds are kinda rough. Thinks Kaneko’s style has changed since the original LWA.

-Q1:Was wondering about the tone of the first episode compared to the 2nd.
Otsuka: “I feel the audience was more familiar with the characters so we could insert more drama.”
Wakabayashi: “First episode was more for more promotion and we didn’t have enough time to expand on the witches’ standing in their world.”
-Q2: What was the inspiration for LWA2’s stage show climax?
Yoshinari: It leads into a spoiler about the source of magical power.
So he couldn’t answer.
-Q3: Will future LWA works expand on Shiny Chariot?
“In future episodes we would like to expand on her background and character”.
-Q4: Why haven’t you done a LWA3 Kickstarter yet?
Otsuka: “Even if we do want to make a LWA3 we’re limited in part of the sponsors.” Please communicate those feelings to the sponsor.
-Q5: In regards to LWA figurines, “Maybe? Hopefully?” Seems like they’re under NDA.
-Q6: What was the inspiration for characters?
Yoshinari-“I watch a vast amount of anime so they’re from my memory. Sorry if they’re a little stereotypical.”
-Q7: To Imaishi and Yoshinari, how do you keep a balance between directing and animating?
Imaishi: “I try to keep a balance between directing and animating. Haven’t done a good job of that lately. I tend to press the brakes when directing but while watching Yoshinari’s work yesterday I didn’t see any brakes and I respect that as an animator.”
Yoshinari: “Imaishi might respect me but I don’t want to draw (think he meant direct) anymore. I haven’t had any days off for the past half year.”
-Q8 asked to Yoshinari about what aspect of the film turned out the best.
Yoshinari: “This is far from what I imagined. My hands were aching with things I wanted to fix last night.”
Fan:No part?
Yoshinari: “I don’t want to make the staff feel bad. I guess it’s my lack of directing skill.” As Tattun mentioned, Yoshinari is fairly hard on himself.
Q9:To Yoshinari and Imaishi, have you ever had arguments with each other over animation or direction styles?
Imaishi: "Our styles were different to begin with".
-Q10:Yoshinari cited Worst Witch as an influence for LWA1, has that changed with LWA 2?
Yoshinari: “I saw Worst Witch after LWA1 so any similarities are coincidental despite it being very similar”.
-Yoshinari: “I’m interested in making more”.

Tattun stated that there might be corrections to the LWA 2 video premiered last week. Normally they would hold a screening to check for errors but they didn’t have enough time before they had to fly to AX. Last week was the first time some on the Trigger staff actually watched the finished product. At the bare minimum, the subtitles are being fixed. Make sure to pester Tattun that the version on the BD is the one being aired in the theaters.

A1 Productions Panel

-Despite the low sales of Shin Sekai Yori, they would be willing to do more works from the author.
-Want to animate a Magi S3 but don’t have plans.
-Didn’t animate Gate for the JDSF’s benefit.
-When the Persona 5 game is released and if there is interest, A1 would want to make a Persona 5 anime.
-If there are future adaptation of SAO, A1 will be the studio to animate it.

Shout out to all the stupid fucks in the A1 audience who kept asking whether a S2 of whatever show is coming. No, they are not going to announce a sequel to a high profile show in a random Q&A question. By the sixth person asking the same question but with whatever different series, the message should have been clear. Audience didn’t deserve the shikishi being given away. Worst set of questions I’ve ever seen at any convention.

E-Sakuga Panel
s4b8Hf6.jpg

Utsunomiya's instructions to the inbetweener(?).
-I came a few minutes late so I missed the introduction in regards to who the lecturer was but he either runs or is high up for E-Sakuga.
-With Giovanni Island, Production IG got a ton of money from an unnamed organization with the notion that they didn’t have to worry about making it back.
-So they got a bunch of super animators and did whatever they wanted.
-Timing for dancing scene near the end had multiple speeds. Inoue Toshiyuki was the one who did this scene.
-Used motion capture and then had to redraw it by hand. This is because in motion capture, they kept bumping into each other.
-Hayao Miyazaki came up with a style of running that is commonly used [Edit: In Future Boy Conan thxs to JKTrix]. Issue with leg being straight when landing. Animators today are trying to go beyond that and have the legs slightly bent when landing. Utsunomiya did a scene with a girl running. Wrote long list of instructions about how legs should be slightly bent instead of the usual straight when landing, he really seems to be into motion.
-Mitsuo Iso worked on the party scene.
No surprise there. Iso-san wanted to draw something unconsciously in that you don’t think about it, some weird instructions for the in-betweener even the lecturer didn’t fully understand. It was some insane instructions that had to do with your perception in that if you're conscious of the motion you're drawing then it's not fluid enough or something.
-He showed off a picture of Iso and another Eva animator after they had gone drinking. It was kinda funny in that you could easily figure out who was Iso even if you hadn't seen both before, the other guy was smiling and Iso had his head down and was scowling.
-For the famous End of Evangelion Iso scene, Iso went out and bought these cameras in order to better understand long range zoom and after messing around with it for awhile, he still couldn't figure out exactly what he wanted to do with it. So he decided to just animate everything he could see, even on the edges of his peripheral vision.
-Some clips from Eva 3.0 were shown with Anno having done these 2D animations for a scene where one of the EVAs was falling and there were explosions all around it. God damn it, it looks so good in gengas. Itano did the CGI for the mech falling and explosions scene.
-For some explosions, high level animators think of layers. Like ground breaking up is one layer, clouds clearing is another, and debris is a separate one.
-Tadashi Hiramatsu is a big fan of classical music and so seems like he pushed for more inclusion I guess on the Eva projects.
-Overheard someone ask about Iso after the panel, he’s going 3D.

The section about Utsunomiya was fairly interesting because I remember Kenichi Yoshida praising how Utsunomiya captures motion and I never really understood why. I find his drawings to often be ugly and so it was fairly informative seeing Utsunomiya breaking down an older running motion and explaining why it's ineffective. Gives me a better appreciation for him as an animator.

Didn’t get into God Eater panel as I stayed too long at the E-Sakuga panel, so no clue there. In my defense, the E-Sakuga panel was very good. Although I heard later that they focused on Daisuki and showed the incomplete OP. No GE Q&A.

I got to say, this might be one of my favorite romance animation show I have watch as of now. I guess the reason I like it more is how simple and powerful of the story and character feeling to each other.

The story is very simple to understand and follow. You follow Emma, a maid who taking care a former governess, Kelly. One day, she bump into a young man name William accidentally and this is all start the love interested between those two. This story also go into the issue they will be facing as William is actually a wealthy family and Emma is a commoner which basically mean both can't marry at all because of the class issue. This become a big issue and the main stumping block for them to the point where it destroy the chance for a relationship to grow at the end when Emma have to leave William. Also, the backstory of Emma past is very tragic and sad but at the same time you start to understand her trouble life she have to endured to the point when she was found by Kelly who take care of her and train her to what she is in the show. Still, the story is simple but it's done quite well to the point you can feel the emotion those two characters have to go through.

For the music, it fit quite well in the show timeline. Very smooth and instrumental. Match the mood of the show very well. Also, it's easy to listen to when you're not watching the show. Would recommend people to listen it when they need something to calm them.

The character development is done well I have to say. I did discuss a bit on the two main character of the show but the other character in the show is also done well enough to the point you do have some sympathetic on them. One of them is Eleanor who is the woman William was suppose to marry. You kinda feel sad for her as William kinda push her aside in most scene when she is in and she still willing to wait for him even though it might end very sad if it goes that path. Will like to see what will happened in season 2 with them.

Still, the show is very good and done very well. The ending is very sad but is expected from them. I am still liking the show and will go on to season 2 which I hope will get better. Would recommend people to watch this show if you love a very good and strong romance show without any bullshit stuff you see in most anime.

Sounds good, I imagine art is like the picture you posted? If so, looks really nice.

Yup, the art is similar to what you will see in the anime. Nothing bad to say really but match well for the show. Some screenshot of the show for people to see.

Some more stuff I want to say as I just finish this show just 30 min ago.

For the story line, the pacing for the show is on the slow side as most of the time, you're watching character in the show to be developing. Nothing crazy and fancy stuff will pop up to keep your attention. This is actually great for me as I like show that try to develop the character more than try to put tons of stuff along the way to keep the attention of the audience but not much in the development of the show story.

Another thing I notice from the show is how little people talk about it. I guess this show is now almost 10 years old when it 1st air in Japan. Make sense but even then, when I was watching tons of anime at that time, I don't hear much about this show. Kinda explain why the show wasn't going to release here in North America. Still, happy it did release as this might be a hidden quiet gems but it's a well written show.

Captain Earth 2

I, too, wanted to see Daichi's boomerang.

Captain Earth 3

Teppei's arrival at the end of the episode is one of the coolest things I'd seen in recent memory. It was just as awesome as the first time I saw it!

Captain Earth 4

Malkin and Amarok inade GLOBE in a surprisingly funny manner. Ep was pretty straightforward and a breather for the most part.

Captain Earth 5

I figure the goal of this one was to help stabilize Teppei and tilt his character back towards something more human after Amarok's claim that Teppei wouldn't forget the freedom of being a kiltgang member coupled with the self-loathing he'd been enduring due to his unique nature.

Captain Earth 6

So both the Ark Faction and Interceptor Faction have plans that are both likely to end in humanity's near if not total extinction. At least that Salty Dog got a faceful of Daichi's boomerang.

Mushishi 11

Skipping ahead since this is mostly episodic and doesn't matter! Someone of a Princess Mononoke vibe from this one which I'll assume is both sourcing the same sort of folklore. Of the few eps of this I've seen so far, the truth behind Mujika's role on the mountain and Ginko's acceptance of the bittersweet reality of it all might have been the most tragic yet. Igaashi outdid himself with this ep.

Ojamajo Doremi 4

I think this is where I left off actually but hey, good place to return to. That said:
Mirabelle > Reanne > Dorie

Ojamajo Doremi 5

Too much Dorie focus in this one.

Sailor Stars 190

Outer senshi are back and as catty as ever. As such, the disdain Seiya & Haruka share for one another is palpable. I expected more given the ep was supposed to be about Seiya's past but there's always a chance I just didn't pay attention closely enough!

Sailor Stars 191

This episode was a return to form as all the goofy moments that made this show memorable returned after the past few eps of total drama. Still, the end game is right around the corner and it seems clear who Chibi Chibi is.

Ahh yes Captain Earth. Bad show, great brown girl. Some shows are only worth it for one character and I felt like this is one of those.

Anyone else having issues with Crunchyroll right now? It keeps giving me a blank screen every time I try to watch something

nopes. Fine on my end!

You guys want to see the peak of idol dancing?

Million Doll OP

Source is from that Idol anime short that recently aired, credits to LoveLiveGAF for finding this.

Well thats a load of terrible.

That was very much in line with his characterization though.and his behavior towards Oreki who's somewhat lethargic and needs to be talked to like that if you want a non-awkward conversation going on.

That said, I don't quite remember how on the nose it is in episode 1, a rewatch is for me in order anyways. But Shinsekai Yori first...and then I'm currently finishing up another excellent show I heard rather little about previously.

Yeah watch Shin Sekai Yori. It is the superior show!

The more images I see of the Monster Girls generic protag, the more I think every single harem protagonist looks exactly the same. lol

you only THINK that?

First of all I just want to say thank you for such a wonderful write up. I find all this stuff fascinating. Second of all I picked up on this line in particular. The booklet that came with Blu-ray release of UBW had a lot of breakdowns of the shots and many of the Key Frames from Nozomu Abe were broken down into characters, weapon effects and background effects. So it's interesting to that's how many of the top level animators work.

The example given was a quick shot of a nuke or some high energy explosion going off in EVA 3.0. In the 2 to 3 second sequence, it was comprised of layers A to something like J. Each layer might have from two to three cuts to six or more of just one element of the explosion.

It's insane to think about doing because you have to think about the total picture when you're doing the individual components.

Thanks for work that apparently no-one is doing?

I don't know why a news reporting company like ANN can't hire transcribers to go to all of these panels.

Chaos Dragon 1

The guy JUST asked if he
could save the girl, which the dragon agrees to. Then he kills her without the dude even acknowledging that the dragon said he would.
Well alright then...

Kind of boring, but I've always liked stuff with confirmed dwindling casts right from the beginning. The counter at the end even reminded me of Danganronpa even though this is nothing like that.

Might continue.

Overlord 1

Slow, too expository, pure setup episode. Add to that the fanservice scene, the moe-loli dark elf and the main character not checking "real life" once he notices weird stuff like not having UI or having a sense of smell in a video game and it has been a disappointment.

Madhouse's work here isn't very good. I can't say I've been raptured by the character design, colors, backgrounds, animation or directing used here. This is clearly a for hire work.

Still, the idea of a MC being the bad guy with his merry group of evil lieutenants attracts me. I've been rooting for the bad guys in movies since I was little! :p

New arrival!

Excited to see what the OVA's like. By the looks of it there's a new character that's been made into a weapon like Chise? I guess it'll probably just focus on how someone else deals with what their body's become. Given the series as a whole and how significant another "ultimate weapon" would be, I suppose this'll take place in some sort of alternate universe, or something.

Excellent pick up. The OVA comes with this set? It was sold separate when I got it years ago. I wonder if the DVDs have any improvements?

Dennou Coil

mesmerized

I'll do a proper writeup later on. Damn why have I heard so little of it. I mean I probably saw it mentioned here and there but certainly not close to the recognition it deserves. I think I have to thank Haly for picking it up as he lamented the lack of BD sales for it and, after his neat Hyouka writeup and thus guaranteed decent taste, I figured it would be worth a go.

This series is so good. So fucking good!
Its criminal that it wasnt licensed here. I would pay good money for it!

What I feel like I need some more of is good animes about music, in general.

Is Kids on the Slope good?

Considering Hibike! Euphonium is already more than good enough to me, I guess, since standards vary.

KOTS is decent. I dont like the ending.

Actually, I am ep.1
tumblr_nr4ys27TQR1r2k180o1_500.gif

I hadn't noticed any media or impressions of this one here, but it popped up on my Crunchy updates as a RomCom, so I checked it out. I must say the first episode was pretty interesting, the premise is unique and this has potential to be pretty fun.. The vampire chick is cute, but a striking resemblance to Fino, but with Green hair, lol. I saw this is a manga adaptation, does anyone know how the Manga is? I'm sure they are just adapting this to promote it an dI'm gong to end up pissed off this cut the anime short with now ending... Ugghh...

Ushio and Tora ep. 1
tumblr_nr18isfKya1s024xzo1_500.gif

This one could be interesting. I'm not that interested in the whole fighting /battle "shonen" anime, but I'll give this one a shot as the first episode was pretty entertaining between the monster interaction above and what a kick below:
tumblr_nqzqpceeVv1qlp4x9o1_500.gif

I love how Tora acts all badass and mean until Ushio pokes him with the sword and makes him cry a lot. Hes a big softie.

Seiyuu's Life 1
Cute show going a bit more indepth with the way voice acting works. It's alright though there's isn't much hook to it
The sudden Cruel Angel's Thesis in the ED was cool

Sky Wizards Academy Episode 1 Fireteam E601
CJaLlNGVEAA0Nlg.png

Oh good a Fireeam animated. I like Kanata Age, hes great even if on the mellow serious side of things.Seems really skilled.

Loved where the camera was for lots of the episode.

Junjou Romantica 3 Episode 1
tumblr_nr6k88uPHv1tsas0no1_540.gif

Yes usagi and misaki are a good couple at this point and I loved their feelings of really wanting each other, especially comparing the beginning of the episode and the ending of the episode.

Also Syo (utapri) voice in this. I hope Mizaki stays around a lot, pairing him and misaki together (sorry usagi).

Overlord 1

What redeems this is the fact the main character is a skeleton.

Honestly, I liked this. Standard trapped in an MMO plot but the personality/design dissonance of the main character is enough to keep me watching at least a few more episodes. Curious to see where it goes.

And with that no more anime for 2 weeks because vacation. Hope I don't get swept up in a riot or something while in Greece.

The more images I see of the Monster Girls generic protag, the more I think every single harem protagonist looks exactly the same. lol

Little do you know that every harem protag is just Tenchi in an alt universe.

I don't think anyone can even remember Darling's real name without looking it up.

Blue Spring Ride ep. 7-END:
tumblr_np31qmfXPF1uusym1o1_400.gif

Ok, so we finally hit on a little bit of drama, but in this case, it was purely character developement for the MC. I must say, I was hesitant watching this one at first because it had a strong "artsy" feel to it, but after watching it for a few episodes, they actually do an excellant job story telling in this one. It's not your typical H.S "coming of age" or "romance" story; it's more of a story about personnal struggle and friends helping along the way (in this case to open the MCs heart about past events) As much as the show teases it, they don't go to far into the romance aspect, which is unfortunate because there is a pleasant story there that they dance around the entire time and shamelessly leave it alone, well, I'll let you find out what they do with it, but.....
All in all, this was a good watch if you want a good slice of life show to watch with minor romance involved... I'll leave teh good stuff to all teh fan art online, which has a far superior outlook on the MC and Heroine's relationship. However, as it was, it was still a very touching and heartfelt series throughout...

Anime Expo 2015 Panel Summaries-
As always, many thanks for the effort on bringing all these gold nuggets of information in here! :)

E-Sakuga Panel

-I came a few minutes late so I missed the introduction in regards to who the lecturer
Not sure who went in the end, but both founders Kenji Fujita & Shinichirō Tanaka (@konoro_shin), this last one acting as translator, were supposed to be at that panel this year.

Seeing that (near) injustice makes me SO glad Kaoru Mori's work is so well respected in France (and how some of that love permeated into Spain as well)... lately Bride Stories is store-front material of most specialized BD shops, and deservedly so!

Thanks for work that apparently no-one is doing?
Not as content-complete as Jarmel transcriptions, but the literal ones of good ol' bayoab (plus collaborators) still do a serviceable job after all these years:

-Overheard someone ask about Iso after the panel, he’s going 3D.

God dammit.
Truly following the way of Mr. Itano... well, we'll always have Hana and Alice.

I dunno, most of the anime posts I see on imgur are TOP 5 ANIME FOR MEN (NO MOESHIT)

1. Tokyo Ghoul
2. Elfen Lied
3. Attack on Titan
4. Tokyo Ghoul again
5. Ninja Scroll
