Probably already been posted but I'm currently doing this:
iwata_thumb.jpg

Already seen a few others doing it. Would be cool to see some more.
I didn't know the WiiU can scan QR codes. Do I just turn the GamePad's inward-facing camera toward the code while in the Mii Maker?

I've been donating to cancer research charities every month for the past 2 years or so and for anyone who has a few extra pounds or dollars lying around each month then it's always worth looking in to.

Fuck cancer and together it will be beaten. Let's just make that sooner rather than later everyone. I'm not sure what the main research charities are in the USA, Europe and Asia, but if anyone could post a link then please do.

Thanks.

Here's a link to American Cancer Fund. Fuck cancer indeed.

R.I.P. Mr. Iwata. I thank you for everything you worked on and everything you green-lit. Though your position may be replaced, you as a person will never be replaced. And while I smile at all the games, I hold back tears, knowing that you're gone. Thanks for all the memories and all the fun that I shared with friends and family, huddled around a television and being together.

Oh man, RIP :(

Damn, he looked horrible... Poor guy. One of my friends replied to a post I made on FB about his passing and said that bile duct growths are very treatable. If that's the case, I wonder why he/they didn't do more as far as treatment goes.

Such a great man, gone way too soon. :(

This isn't necessarily true. One of my teachers died of the same thing. Sometimes the cancer wraps around one of the pumps/valves and theres not much you can do.

I'm not one to wear my heart on my sleeve, but when my dad died my mum would just get in her car and drive in the evenings, then one day she was watching us play Mario Kart on the snes and she picked up a controller and raced us rather than go for a drive...

For the new page, donate so we can beat cancer sooner rather than later.

UK - http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/

America -http://www.aacr.org/Pages/Home.aspx

A few dollars a month or a one time donation from many of us can go a long way.

For America, I'd like to add that the very best thing you can do for science research like cancer is to vote for politicians that support funding like the NSF and NIH. Scientists get the majority of their funding from things like this, not charities. But charity definitely helps! Every bit helps!

I would be so happy if someone set up a cancer donation fund for pancreatic, liver, and bile duct cancers. These are some of the hardest to detect and the most fatal.

Let's not sit back and accept it taking away the people we love so early.

Specifically, this is what Iwata had: http://cholangiocarcinoma.org/

Consider donating for the less well-known types of cancer that are no less deadly or painful.

So when Kamiya was giving his Wonderful 101 Direct, Iwata told him he should making it jokingly as if he were Iwata hosting a general direct. So Kamiya did exactly that, dressing in a suit, and introducing every aspect of Wonderful 101 as if it were its own game, complete with release date at the end.

RIP Iwata.

I've been following this news for the entire day. It truly is a great loss. I think it's beautiful how the entire industry has reacted to this news and it's simply wonderful to see all the touching tributes.

I was actually planning on playing some Nintendo games today in honor of Iwata, but I'm ashamed to say that I don't own any Nintendo hardware currently. :(

The sentiment is quite nice, it was just a bit too overdone with the self-promotion of their parody games. Either way, it's nice to see so many non-gaming outlets and companies so affected by Iwata and his death. It's really a testament to him and the company he ran.

That was my thought. I don't like PETA in the slightest, but I understand their schtick and I believe it was heartfelt, if not too self-indulgent.

At Nintendo World right now. Someone made an origami cranw with Nintendo paper. There's also a piranha plant pearler in a plant pot. I've seen very young children wanting to sign. I guess it's hitting me kind of hard now :/

Like, there won't be anymore Nintendo Directs or E3s with him. We won't see him unveil NX, or the Nintendo DeNA partnership games, or QOL.

None of it. He's just gone

This is just horrible to think about. No more Directs with Iwata, no more Iwata Asks. Things I really looked forward to whenever they were announced :(

How the heck do you transfer from the 3DS to your Wii U the Miis?

Select Mii Maker from the Wii U HOME Menu.
Select "Connect to Nintendo 3DS."
Select "Mii Maker" on the Nintendo 3DS.
Select "Send/Receive" in Mii Maker on Nintendo 3DS.
Choose to connect to "Mii Maker" on the Nintendo 3DS.
Select "Search for Players" on the Nintendo 3DS.
Choose to connect to the Wii U.
Select "OK."
Select a Mii to connect to.
Select "Send."
When finished select "Back" to disconnect from the Nintendo 3DS.

I'm still shocked by this news. It hasn't even begun settling in.

He had so many projects, I really hope Nintendo will keep them and do a good job with them...

Fun tidbit, but why bring this up now?
