For people who don't know what American Crime Story is:

American Crime Story is an upcoming American true crime anthology television series created by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The series is a companion to American Horror Story, which was created by Crime executive producers Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy. It will be broadcast on the cable network FX, premiering in 2015. The first season, subtitled The People vs. O. J. Simpson, will focus on the murder trial of O. J. Simpson.

John Travolta cast as Robert Shapiro

The actor has landed a starring role in FX’s highly anticipated “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” from Ryan Murphy, the cabler announced Wednesday.

Travolta, who will also serve as a producer on the 10-episode miniseries, has been cast as Robert Shapiro, a key member of Simpson’s “Dream Team” during the murder trial.

I couldn't find another post about it but it appears that David Schwimmer has been cast as Robert Kardashian. They join Cuba Gooding Jr. who will play as OJ while Sarah Paulson will play prosecutor Marcia Clark.

Interested to see how this turns out.

Scripting by the Ed Wood writers and Screwed writers-directors is interesting but Murphy is always questionable.

I would love for Kristin Wiig to play Kris Jenner (Nicole Brown's best friend & Robert Kardashian's ex-wife). She was wonderful in the SNL Kardashian skit....

In the aftermath of killing Nicole Brown, O.J was living in the Kardashian family home and had brought a gun over one night with plans to blow his brains out from within Khloe's bedroom - but Robert found him with the gun and stopped him. The Bronco car chase also started from the Kardashian home.

It's going to be really interesting to see if this new show is going to touch on the speculation that Robert Kardashian hid the murder evidence (plus many speculate that Robert represented O.J so he cannot be subpoenaed to testify against him).

So the cast so far (official)....

Cuba Gooding Jr (OJ Simpson)

David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian)

John Travolta (Robert Shapiro)

Selma Blair (Kris Jenner)

Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark)

Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran)

Connie Britton (Faye Resnick)

Jordana Brewster (Denise Brown)

Way better cast then I would expect from this. Hopefully it delivers because the last two seasons of American Horror Story have been terrible.

American Crime Story have cast Kourtney, Khloe, Kim, and Robert Kardashian....
Those first three names made me scared this was a show that had cast the actual K sisters. Only remembered by the fourth one it is a historical piece 'about' their dad.

So with that premise and that casting, this show is basically on a mission to remind everyone how long ago the 90s were...

Had no idea this was a thing, that cast is great. My girl Sarah Paulson hanging out with all them movie stars ;_;

The trailer was pretty good

Hopefully it ends up being a lot better than silly Scream Queens and American Horror Story, which is like watching paint dry and hasn't been good since its first season and the first part of its second.

Vance looks fantastic as Cochran.

Actually pleasantly surprised by this considering who is behind it, but that is definitely one quirky cast selection. Looks like it might pay off in someway though.

I like David, but I'm having a difficult time taking his hair seriously. Other than that, the show seems like it has potential.

I'm bothered that this show exists, if only because it will distract people from ABC's amazing drama American Crime.

It will definitely be easy to get them mixed up. I'd heard about this, then saw that American Crime was beginning to air, and wondered if they were the same thing.

I watched all of American Crime's first season and look forward to its second. It's really good.
