I want Gravity Rush HD remaster and Motorstorm Trilogy.

I skipped out on the Playstation brand during PS3/Vita so I'm using PS4 to catch up on PlayStation exclusives through remasters. (Tearaway, Uncharted collection, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, God of War III)

Sony always had and always will have more exclusive then the competition, that's not the point. When people talk about exclusive games they talk about Sony's, not Atlus' or NISA's.
An exclusive is an exclusive, excluding non-Sony exclusives is just dumb and goalpost-moving.

Some people fell like Sony has been slacking in terms of First Party support and they have a right to feel that way.
Please do tell how in hell can anyone try to make any kind of serious argument that Sony has been slacking? All of their development studios are developing new games, they've partnered up with a lot of devs and have released several games for PS4. The fact is, we are still only a little over 1,5 years into this generation. The first year is always slow and with PS4 it was maybe a tiny bit slower because they supported two console level platforms up until PS4's launch (and even beyond) and that meant that most Sony teams were only 1-2 years into the development of their new games (and developing top-level PS4 games, SHOCKINGLY, takes longer than past games).

The Order 1886, Bloodborne, MLB 2015, Until Dawn, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Tearaway Unfolded, Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection, The Tomorrow Children and God of War 3 Remastered. That is more than Microsoft's Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Halo 5, Forza 6, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rare Replay and State of Decay Remastered.

I'm just saying... when we put it in perspective, Sony actually has more first party exclusives this year than Microsoft. But Microsoft marketing strategy of ''only the Holiday matters'' made some kind of brain damage to everyone, making they actually believe they had more first party content this year.

Combovers don't work when there is no hair
Try Galak-z
Everyone's gone to the rapture
Volume
Until Dawn

There are other exclusives this month but I feel you might like those.

Or was you being sarcastic? I can't tell any more.

When are people going to quit making these stupid asinine ridiculous utterly false statements....

Lol, I'm not really interested in Galak-z, but I have enough to play on PS3 and PS4, so I was just joking, yeah ;) And Master of Puppets fit neatly with the remaster thing, so.. :p

I only have a PS4 and would appreciate it if you can post this list of exclusives between October and December. I know about Uncharted Collection and Dragon Quest Heroes but what else is coming out these three months? Thanks.

Tales of Zestiria
Persona 5
Dragon Quest Heroes
Atelier Sophie
Disgaea 5
Uncharted Collection
Country Without Nights
Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force

If you like Japanese games, the holidays are pretty packed in addition to the western third party games

I want a Resistance remaster just so other people get to play it.
It's an underated series. Resistence 3 specifically, is one of the best games on the PS3.

Demons Soul, Gravity Rush and the Motorstorm trilogy would all be good candidates; I did not own a Ps3, and I suppose that manyy PS4 owner did not either. So I subscribe to the notion that it would be great to offer improved versions of these classics, on the condition that they do not get priced extravagantly...

Keep bringing the remasters. The PS4 is my first non Nintendo console so I am loving it. I can get all the remasters while I wait for the definitive editions of the newer games (with a few exceptions). It's working out pretty well for me so far.

People will never be satisfied with what we get. I swear. Every news thread of remastered games goes the same route every single fucking time.

We get news for a ton of new first party games (indie up to AAA) and everyone celebrates. Some weeks later, someone from Sony says they aren't done doing remasters and people start to get that goldfish mindset and complain about non issues like how Sony should invest more in first party or how they prefer new game announcements. The audacity some people have sometimes.

Keep 'em coming! Enjoying God of War III HD! Never had a ps2 or ps3. Now with GOW III, Uncharted Trilogy, GTA V, and Last of Us HD I feel I have a good "Best of" PS 3 library. Games I would like to see remastered: Ico and Shadow of Colossus. Also, a new Marble Madness would be awesome!

Only one I really want is 60fps 1080p Warhawk, with Starhawk as a companion because why the hell not. That was also an underappreciated game, though all my hours would go into WH.

I'd buy a SOCOM trilogy too.

edit- oh jesus I forgot about Demon's Souls

There are a ton of PS3 games I missed, so this is good news for me! It'd be great if they could bring over some of the PS2 HD collections for a lowish price for PS4 as well.

It's not goal post moving or whatever, I'm looking at Sony as a publisher and at their output.

They really were supporting 1 platform, as of now Media Molecule (a team of 12 people), Guerrilla Cambridge, Japan Studio and Sony Bend were the only Sony's studio to release games (one for most of them) on the Vita, all the rest have shut down. I was expecting way more partnership to offset the studio unavailable to develop for the PS4, The Order and Bloodborne are the only two partnership they made (outside of all the indie games which do count before I get accused of saying otherwise).

The Order 1886, Bloodborne, MLB 2015, Until Dawn, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Tearaway Unfolded, Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection, The Tomorrow Children and God of War 3 Remastered. I don't care about what MS is offering, I'm comparing Sony's output today and their output last generation.

This is sort of pathetic.

I have nothing against them remastering PS3 games but when you consider the drought of actual PS4 exclusives at the moment this is a bit stupid.

I'm all for studios trying to prove themselves building HD remasters, building a good group at the studio and getting people that never owned a PS3/Vita/PS2/whatever a chance to play some awesome games.

If Sony starts putting their first party stable on HD remasters in mass, I'll agree w/ you.

They're not mutually exclusive.
Yeah, I mean, they can either put a small part of the team to work on a remaster while the rest of the dev studio is still planning & putting the new project through early production woes or they can outsource a remaster to some dev studio that often specializes in that sort of thing (so that it's not away from new games that way either). Either way a remaster rarely affects the development of new games in a franchise (or new IPs) negatively (unless one sells like utter & total crap) and can often benefit the devs/franchises.

1) they can help devs get accustomed to new hardware (Naughty Dog said the development of the TLOU remaster would help them a lot with the development of Uncharted 4)
2) they can help new members of the dev team familiarize themselves with a long-running franchise (Nomura put a lot of new members of the team to work on the KH1.5 & 2.5 HD Remasters so that they would get a better idea of what KH is about, so it's easier for them to then develop KHIII)
3) they can perhaps make it a bit more tempting for higher-ups to greenlight new sequels to not-Uncharted/Halo-level franchises or from not-NaugthyDog-level-of-success developers, if they can first see that remasters from those franchises/studios sell at least somewhat adequately (while not necessarily a completely new game, the success of REmake 1 HD has possibly made a REmake 2 a much more lucrative idea in Capcom's eyes, though they might've originally abandoned the plans sometime in the past)

Souls Collection (Demon and Dark, please) and Dark Cloud 2 (you can leave out one if you want Sony) top my list.

Beyond that, perhaps an MGS franchise port (including MGR)? I know Sony has and may want to remaster Killzone and Resistance, but I truly hope they don't. Persona remasters (P4G, P4A particularly) seem to make sense too.

I'll echo the sentiment for Demons and Dark Souls compilation, in HD, primarily because I like the Souls games but I have never really gotten a chance to play either of those seriously (Demons almost not at all, and Dark on PC before any patches, and it's still a bad experience today on PC imo).

I don't care about what MS is offering, I'm comparing Sony's output today and their output last generation.

If you look in combination of their third party and first party efforts, Sony's output is actually vastly larger than PS3 at the same time. Unless you want to say that certain games count and others don't what your saying isn't really true...

If you say you don't care about the competition, it literally is irrelevant whether they are first party games or not.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I'm part of the problem. Most of my physical purchases for the PS4 are remasters that I missed out on last gen.

While I'm at it: Lost Planet 1&2 collection. Give it the Handsome Collection treatment. 1080p, 60fps. 4 player splitscreen for LP2. Capcacpom, please!

I would like to see how it is vastly larger, are you counting Destiny and Batman AK in their output? Because otherwise I don't see how it is possible.

And why is it irrelevant? I can't express my view point towards Sony's offering because I only own their console?

If you'd actually be doing that with any level of looking at the bigger picture, you'd notice and there are some years that are noticeably quieter for Sony in terms of first party published games. 2012-2013 was a pretty cray-cray period for Sony game releases up until PS4's launch and you DO have to take that into account when evaluating Sony's first party output on PS4 so far. When you understand that ND, Santa Monica, Japan, Quantic Dream, Media Molecule, Polyphony Digital and such released a new game within 1-2 years before PS4's launch, it's not all that surprising that those teams are still working on their first PS4 games. In comparison both MS & Nintendo dropped support for 360 & Wii much faster and way before the launch of their newer consoles, yet they didn't escape the drought either.

Not to even mention you are ignoring that games aren't exactly getting any smaller, so that will of course affect not only Sony's but EVERYONE's AAA output. When every game takes +6-12 months longer than a similar game might've taken during last generation, there's bound to be a few less games all-in-all. Sony can't quite push a new Uncharted game out every two years anymore (it was already stretching ND thin between UC2 & 3). Take all the above and the usual first-year-drought into account and that explains PS4's 2014 pretty well. 2015 is already a massive improvement (especially the latter half), not to even mention what's coming beyond 2015.

Seriously? Go look at the output on Sony exclusives 1.5 years into the life of the PS4 and 1.5 years into the PS3 and you tell me that we haven't gotten far more on the PS4.

Good lord. People really should do their research before making these ridiculous statements.

I'd buy Gravity Rush HD in a heartbeat. I'd also love a PS4 version of Soul Sacrifice and Persona 4 Golden.

Although I don't want to see too many more remasters, I can think of a few I might like to to play again at 1080p/60fps.

PlayStation Exclusives.

Killzone Collection
Motorstorm Collection
Demon's Souls Remaster
Infamous Collection
Ni No Kuni Remaster
Resistance Collection
God of War Ascension Remaster
Wipeout HD Remaster

3rd Party Games.

SSX Collection (1-4)
Burnout Collection (1-4)
Tekken Collection (1-3)

You're discounting crazy Sega logic in your assumption. They saw those crazy Monster Hunter sales when it went PSP exclusive and just assumed VC would catch on better as a mobile game. And then when it didn't with VC2, they decided to try again with another PSP exclusive. And then when that didn't work they just assumed nobody likes the series, until Steam happened.

Yup.

Man I can't wait for Kohei Tanaka's beautiful score to wash over me in 5.1.

Regular fixture in my playlist.

Where is the so awaited Gaikai project? I think Sony has forgotten about that.

I welcome remastering and I would love to see resident evil 2 ,silent hill 3 (also shattered memories) and final fantasy XII remastered.

What? It's called PSNow and it's on the PS4/PS3/PSVita/TVs/Blu-rays.
