I guess I'm one of the few who actually liked Advanced Warfare. I never touched the multiplayer though so that's probably why. :p

This looks honestly disappointingly a lot like ordinary Call of Duty, I was hoping with the new wall running mechanic that there would be more of that (like Titanfall).

Also, all guns seem to kill awfully quick, barely time to react to anything.

This honestly looks pretty good. I'm a bit concerned about the new movement system and the Specialist abilities and weapons. We'll see how it all pans out.

You really gotta love how Kill Confirmed still lives on.

MW3 absolutely did bring good stuff to the series.

Why do people post this same dumb shit every year? As if you were expecting them to raise the TTK for mysterious unknown reasons? Low TTK doesn't make a game bad and high TTK doesn't make a game good, and CoD has ALWAYS been a low TTK game. If you don't like people dying fast then go play a bullet sponge shooter like Uncharted mp or Killzone.

That said this game looks really bland. Black Ops 1 continues to be the last CoD worth playing as of now. And yes I've played MW3, BO2, Ghosts and AW, they all blow.

Genuinely curious here, but what exactly from your perspective ? I honestly can't think of many good things about that game at all for me personally. Mediocre campaign and the worst multiplayer maps of the series, at least the base maps that is (never played the DLC). I'd put it only behind CoD3 for shiteness.

AW was horrific, a blank disc would have been more enjoyable.

I know not everyone liked it but I really enjoyed it personally. I think kill confirmed, infected, and chaos mode were all fun additions and I loved how "arcadey" the shooting and game felt overall. I didn't really have any problems with the maps that I can remember. I also liked the specialist system.

AW was fine and an improvement, both mp and sp.

Don't understand why people feel the need to enter into cod topics and expect something different. It's COD for a reason

Fair enough :) Thanks for your thoughts.

Wow.. Idk how ppl can post such things. What makes it so "Horrific"? I honestly have fun playing it. I don't like a few things in terms of movement and weapons but that's about all I can think of without searching for all the things wrong with it. When I don't need to in order to enjoy what the game has to offer.

Btw, Zombies is really good and I'm a veteran playing the nazi zombies modes since WaW.

It's because the game doesn't really feel like CoD besides how the gun handles. The exo movements break the flow of the game that CoD players are used to and allows players to cross lanes with little trouble making it tough to play in the traditional defensive manner. You pretty much have to rush in this game unless you have a party of coordinated players that can lock and funnel the flow of an otherwise chaotic game.

As a rusher myself I don't hate the game but I probably get 50% enjoyment and 50% frustration and is very tiring with having to keep focused on enemies jumping around constantly flying through the air. SBMM forces players to connect that otherwise wouldn't have, so you'll be connecting with others many states away and the netcode just can't keep up with the speed at which the better players play this game.

I don't see how that's the case with Battlefield. BF games don't drop developer support after a year on the market like CoD does, BF games let users rent servers which helps with community building though they probably could use more tools. There are almost 27,000 people still playing BF4 on PC right now, and almost 37,000 on PS4.

I agree. I was as vocal as anyone about bf4 being a total write-off at launch and I've stuck to my guns regarding not purchasing any dlc at all plus buying battlefront used.

However bf4 is easily the MP game to play right now. It's consistent, fun, and rented servers with custom rules are mostly awesome.

I am always looking for good MP games to just jump in and have fun and as of now I'd say it's

Bf4 >>>>planetside> destiny > COD

The last two mainly due to lag. Planetside is fun but it can be hard to find decent matches which is a waste of my valuable time.

Aside from the aforementioned Kill Confirmed:

Killstreaks not just being rewarded by kills. I know Black Ops was a fan favorite but people forget it had just as much killstreak stacking as MW2. MW3 was the first to reward you much more tangibly for playing objective. Black Ops 2 followed MW3's example in this department with its killstreak point system and was much better for it.

Prestige Tokens. A lot of people like to have their favorite weapon or useful piece of equipment earlier. MW3 let you unlock ANY ONE THING after a prestige. Genius idea.

Finally, the Survival Mode of Spec Ops. I never played Ghosts or AW so I don't know if they kept them, but this was great to play either alone or with a friend. Survive wave after wave of normal enemy units as opposed to Zombies (which is the better mode, sure, but Survival pushed MW3's content to having just as much as Blops 1)

Actually watching the footage, I'm actually hyped for it. Black Ops 2 was solid, not great. But the fact you're not spamming exo movements makes this game 100% better than AW

Lol. It was terrible. It made Ghosts look like MW.

Advanced Warfare was the only COD game that the group I played with all traded in in a week. Terrible game all around.

I have owned and loved every CoD game, AW was fucking awful and not a CoD game, that's the problem with it.

I wouldn't say AW was awful, frustrating at best though. I loved the addition of verticality to the maps, being able to get on top of things and commanding high ground was fantastic for some maps but most of the maps were fairly poor and didn't really use it well enough.

I appreciate a few things from AW though, i like the idea of Supply Drops and unique weaponry (even though you knew Activision would monetise it sooner rather than later) and soldier customisation, but the movement of the EXO suits makes the game too random and it doesn't help when you're thrown into games based on SBMM instead of connection.

Black Ops 2 is still my favourite, i loved the balance of the maps, the weapons and perks, it was very well done.

I think the only COD title i've disliked was Ghosts. I normally play a full cycle of the COD games casually, i.e. full rank, all map packs and a fair amount of unlocks, but with Ghosts i stopped playing before January.

I have to agree with him. I've put 1,000+ hours into each CoD game as I buy the title for each platform in order to play with friends who do not own more than one gaming console. In the case of CoD4 and MW2, my favorite in the series, it was between 2-3K hours as that is ALL we played. That stopped with AW and since purchasing it on launch, I never touched it after Christmas. Furthermore, for the first time ever I traded in a game with the pure intent and hope it would be mass circulated second-hand for cheap so the developer didn't get a fucking penny more.

The SP was fantastic and I enjoyed it, but the exo survival was boring, brainless and took absolutely no challenge. I gave up on the game before the Zombies DLC dropped, so I can't comment on that mode.

The MP? Oh boy, where do I begin:
- The worst maps in the history of CoD due to the overabundance of verticality. Ghosts' maps weren't all that great; its maps weren't bad because they were actually bad, they were bad because they were too large, broke pacing and had no hot/conflict spots. The maps in AW just have no personality, and nothing was done to account for exos aside from add another half a dozen entrances into every room from multiple layers/levels
- The most extreme implementation of SBMM ever introduced into a game, designed to protect new and casual players while punishing experienced players. Don't get me wrong, I love a close and the occasional diehard try-hards that keep you on your toes, but I don't want that experience 24/7. It's like that twilight zone episode where the guy is in Vegas and can never lose, only win - the same results consistently will only produce boredom.
- SBMM took priority over ping and location...
- A shady and serversmessage about the use of dedicated servers which actually turned out to be a mix of listening service, with players quickly discovering more than half of all games played were P2P and unbalanced lag compensation.
- Widely unbalanced weapons which took months to address
- The most boring killstreaks since Ghosts
- Hands down the worst spawning system in CoD, which was only compounded by exo movements
- Jankiest netcode in the series, likely due to Exos

Indeed, I find it extremely odd that anyone could actually like AW as a CoD game, because it's about as far from what makes CoD fun as possible. Plus technically it was a massive step back for the reasons you listed.

It's not that odd at all, it really comes down to the player. In terms of CoD MP, this is the easiest and most rewarding for casual players because the playing field is leveled to ensure you don't run into Mr. 12.0 kd/r unless you're Mr. 12.0 kd/r yourself. Like I said, great for casual players but nightmare for more experienced veterans. And don't even think about reverse boosting to drop your kd/r, as SH monitors it and if they find you dumping grenades down your pants so you can get in a lobby and dominate, they'll ban you.

All of this comes down to their extreme implementation of SBMM. I'll try to find the video but it's pretty telling when pros can't get the DNA bomb (nuke equivalent) when playing on their normal account, but when they create a new account they get 10-20 that day before the account exits its trial period and is slammed by SBMM.

And to get on topic, I have never been a fan of the Treyarch games, but I adored Destiny. Anyone who's played Destiny should see right away that they've baked the specials into BO3 (in some cases literally a carbon copy), and that has me excited.

My refrigerator edition awaits! :)

My main problem with AW was the scorestreaks. They just felt boring. In BO2 you could get some crazy shit going and it was fun and rewarding. Now, most of the top tier streaks are pretty blah. The Vulcan is a joke, missile strike is meh, system hack can be good if you load it up with options but then it costs a shit load. Warbird is ok I guess, same with Paladin. I'd rather fully load up a UAV though, as the highlighting and such are way more useful imo.

In BO2 tho it was like stealth choppers and Warthogs and other crazy shit. Swarm was fun in public matches because people had no idea wtf to do and chaos erupted lol. FUCK the Hunter Killer Drone tho. That thing ALWAYS found me, I swear any time one was launched it found its way to me instantly.

I love how the guns all sound different and have personality, just like BO2. In AW, the paintball mode was fitting, because every gun sounded and felt like a paintball gun. None of the guns had any kickback and they were all bland. I had trouble distinguishing between individual guns.

Hopefully the TTK won't be nearly as instant as it is currently. My guess is that it won't be nearly as fast in real world conditions, as lag, and other factors will take their toll.

If I hear the words "K9 Unit" or "Swarm" in a game, it's time to leave. There's no salvaging this game.

I remember when Treyarch was hated by so many in the gaming community and now they're the top tier COD developer. The multiplayer in BLOPS 3 looks fantastic. They nail the audio and visual feedback that make COD multi so good. I haven't looked at the list of KSs yet but I assume they'll be good. The KSs in Ghost were awful and the ones in AW were mostly forgettable. So happy Treyarch COD is back.

Why do people not like the mobility in AW? It was awesome!

Maps weren't designed for it. Needed to be bigger, with fewer wide open areas.

TTK in Blops 3 looks stupid, as usual. They should just come up with some excuse to up the armor and lengthen the TTK to raise the skill gap.
