I want to pre order this so I can play in the beta. If I pre order at Best Buy for an in-store pickup, am I guaranteed to get a copy if I go there at 5pm on release day after I pre odered?

I will have it on PS4 and XB1 but I will spend most time on PS4.
How I feel when playing this game,lol. I'm just trying to hit Grand Master Prestige before BO3.
I dunno, but if you just want to play the beta you may as well preorder from Amazon, get the code, and then cancel the order and change to Best Buy or whoever else. Amazon doesn't charge for preorders until shipping, which is pretty much the day of release.

If you do on site to in store pickup your copy is locked for at least two days and could honestly be picked up that morning the store opens. With that being said order from Amazon and cancel when you get your beta code. Best Buy forgot to send me my code and I had to message someone on the forums for it. Really great support on their forums btw, just a bummer that I didn't auto receive it. The system for juggernog editions probably wasn't fully set up, so the system never knew to send me a beta code

Looks like Advanced Warfare with the jumping toned down a bit which isn't a bad thing as I thought Advanced Warfare was pretty great though I never got around to zombies just single player and multiplayer and I didn't buy the DLC. I just hope its at least 900p 60fps on xbox one. I don't have a PS4 yet and I much prefer the xbox controller (and nobody plays CoD on pc lol).

Looks good so far. I went from hyped to not hyped after hearing the details but the footage shows that all that new shit seems tertiary. Still looks like black ops. Maps seem good.
I'm glad I skipped the last 2 and waited for treyarch. The beta will decide if I keep my preorder or not though. I want a decent shooter though.

The BO games are the best selling in the series. You can be assured, this will be anything but a bomb. In fact, Activision stated during their recent earnings call that BO2 saw a surge in online activity ever since BO3 was announced, with an average of 11 million players.

I think I'm done with CoD games for the foreseeable future.
The last 2 have been utterly regrettable. I do hope this game is good though and I hope it's enjoyed.
Blops 1 and 2 were my favs so maybe there is still hope left.
Honestly, the wall running and jumping mechanics have turned me off of fps games in the last few years.

On the contrary, I felt this video looked way better than the initial reveal trailer. They've made some steady graphical improvements.
Pre-ordered this on psn first time I have done so with any game I like physical mostly. Will I get a email for the beta?. I think the game look's great a lot slower than AW, speed doesnt bother me to much it was the added stress of checking fucking everywhere because of the exo. Also the movements in there air are fucking atrocious, being able to exo left and right while in the air and that with any lag makes me wanna smash my head against the wall. Makes shooting very frustrating .I agree with what a poster said earlier it really is 50 percent frustration but I Iook forward to playing the blops 3 beta as I have found blops to be the better series especially blops 1.

Really like the treatment Treyarch gives the PC ports. Always great.
It really looks like an upgraded engine from Black Ops 2. It gives off a similar "feel" from what I've seen.
The multiplayer looked good @ E3, and looks even better now. The campaign is what looked so shitty lol. Everyone was saying how uninspired it looked and it was the same ole brown and tan Call of Duty.
It looks really great though!

I think fatigue depends on how good each yearly release is. It seems like a lot of people just stick to Treyarch COD's now too. The yearly release definitely hurts them but I think it has more to do with the developers not the gameplay. In my opinion, anyways.
I thought they were teasing a Wii U version before I saw you took them lol
lol!!! Actually, As dream of WiiU version of Blops 3 has collapsed, I just imagined remote play with WiiU gamepad. Maybe I'll buy PSVita just for remote play.
AW was better than one hit kill COD:ghosts, a game where you didn't even take damage you just died... You didn't even see a "damage" indicator on your had unless you fell off a roof and survived.

The above and Sitrep Pro were my main complaints. You'd have people literally sitting at spawn ADSing in Search with it. Crouchwalking everywhere to combat that just wasn't any fun -_-
MW3's Spec Ops missions and Infection were top tier though.
PS4 and XB1. Have friends on both.
Some of the textures on the reveal trailer looked like early Xbox 360 quality, very jaggy and messy. Now they look much sharper. I also feel like the lighting is improved, although it may just be the maps themselves. The weapons also seem to have more intricate detail, as someone posted before of an LMG reload animation that looks much better than anything I saw before. I'm not saying it's mind blowing quality now, just that there have been some improvements since first reveal.
There's different characters, called specialist to pick from, one of them is a robot yes

One of the best if not the best cod campaigns.
It definitely has the look and feel of a Treyarch game, which is encouraging. Just got done renting AW and while it was an enjoyable romp, the MP was too chaotic for me. It looks like this might achieve a good balance with traditional CoD gameplay and new movement mechanics.
We'll see though, interested to try the beta.

we can use this one as the template for every future call of duty news thread when someone wants to come in and shit on COD as the poison of the game industry.
I guess it really annoys me when sure, they're using the COD name on all these games and they do share some similarities but these are completely different studios making a game with completely different modes and feel of gameplay.
Black ops 3 has as much in common with Advanced Warfare or Ghosts as Killzone 2 does with Call of Duty 4, or Crysis 2 does with Resistance.
This kind of post makes about as much sense as someone calling all FPS games Doom clones and saying they're all bad games.
Black Ops in itself could have been its own franchise without using the Call of Duty name. In fact, I almost wonder if dropping the COD name at this point might be good for activision and just have their yearly holiday shooter with its own name every year.
Most poeple call the games by those names anyway - Ghosts, Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Advanced Warfare. I get that the marketing people would never allow dropping a name like Call of Duty though.
But people will disregard it just because it has the call of duty name on it and it's popular.
I'm pretty sure Counter Strike GO is almost as popular than any COD game at this point but people see valve as a beloved company and underdog, not like the monolithic and oppressive activision.

Learning new maps and weapons and abilities is always fun if the base gameplay is good.
People have been playing Dust2, Nuke, Italy, and Inferno for a decade or 2 in Counter Strike GO.
Anyway i don't care much about graphics with COD, as long as it stays at 60fps and 1080p with nice image quality I'm pretty fine with that. I played Black Ops 1 for over a year and still play it from time to time and i think that game is running at like 1040x608
