I don't know what people were expecting. It will look better than on 360/PS3, but if you have a decent PC it isn't interesting at all.
Well, it is to me because I prefer to play on consoles.

Keeping my pre-order cuz of the saltiness in this thread. It's delicious.
Missed out on the original so im debating picking this up. What's going on in this topic thats got everyone up in arms?? I still have time to cancel preorder and pick up in store if I decide to change my mind. Thanks!

Or any visual enhancements. Textures, lighting, anything at all really. Nothing about anything new lol.Basically Bethesda hasn't confirmed resolution or frame rate yet, that's all.
Dishonored was a great game and ran fine on previous gen consoles so I'm sure it'll be a great buy if you never played it.

We don't know the quality of the port, so some on gaf are having an aneurysm and saying this is the biggest "fuck you" from a developer in their 30 years of gaming.
And some others are paying for a game out of spite

I mean, you were the one that said exactly that...Ah yes. Cuz that's exactly why I'm buying the game. ...
That's why people are so passionate about this -- Dishonored is a brilliant game that deserves a really great port. This isn't Prototype we're talking about here!I just think it would be disappointing if the port would be indeed fucked up. Dishonored is a great and unique game that deserve some love if ported! It would be a shame to give this game a broken release! Why even bring it out again when zero fucks are given?!

Ah yes. Cuz that's exactly why I'm buying the game. ... It's enjoyable seeing folks get wound up over nothing, but I'm buying it because I want to play it on my PS4 with the dlc. I don't care if the developers give me further information.

I never played the DLC and don't own the game (even though I played on 360) 20 bucks is literally no big dealWell, unfortunately I pre-ordered on PSN. Thankfully the digital upgrade was only $20. Either way, it was easily one of my favorite games from last gen. As long as it runs decently enough, I'll be playing it.

if they're just giving us the same exact thing we got on the 360 it's a lazy port. We know it's not a graphically intensive game that a PS4 couldn't handle, I'd like for it to be 60 fps minimum. Anything else is a bonus
No one is asking you to do that.
Wait until the game releases, read as many reviews as you'd like, and then decide to buy or not to buy the game based on that information.

I take it you don't respond well to sarcasm.
They are free to market it as they see fit. Contrary to popular belief, publishers are not obligated to market an item that is not likely to sell a ton of copies. So them not advertising or giving out details is just fine. Should all dev's just not release stuff, and we should just wait on Reviews. There should be information out so I can make an educated guess before the game releases (like I do with many games). I understand that I don't need to buy it day one, and trust me I won't.

If that was sarcasm, you're not very good at it. Murray would be disappointed.
Who gives a shit?
Wait... I should have posted that Harrison Ford gif so you could see the manner in which I am saying the above. Since I didn't spell it out that I was using sarcasm in my other post; need to make sure we're all clear.
Too bad you didn't post it since it's bannable.
What kind of logic is that?
If they realise that its probably not going to sell a ton of copies wouldn't they want to market it to get more sales. Also why even bother if they don't think its going to sell a ton of sales.
Its ridiculous that they're not putting out a single tweet about frame rate, resolution and additional features. That's all we ask for.
Well, after seeing that picture I too went to my local Ontario Walmart and found it for both systems. Tried to buy it and the machine wouldn't let it go through. So instead of impressions tonight you get this sad anecdote.

except for gta 5. although i wish that had 60 fps so badAnything less than 60 FPS is a "lazy port" IMO

Yeah they can do that, and suffer a horrible launch because of it. Totally their choice just not smart IMO they could have just typed a dev blog and news sites would have spread it.
In my experience, if a company is about to launch a product they generally like to inform the potential customers about it ahead of time.
In my opinion, if they're going to go to the trouble of porting the game to the current generation, surely they could whip up a screen shot and a list of improvements. That really would take only an hour of someone's time.
Then we know what we're getting and more people will preorder or buy it at launch, rather than waiting and potentially never getting it.
Just my thoughts on the whole thing.
At least the reduced price on PSN is valid for a week after the game comes out. No need to pre-order.
Who gives a shit?

How do you know it will be horrible? It was mentioned at E3. People do know about it. Once it's out in the wild more will know too.

I don't know if there's an example of a game with no advertising or info on it's changes out there to compare this too.
Prototype port and it was a disaster.
A little off topic, but a quick question.
You can either stealth or go full combat in the game, right?
Which is more fun?
The point i'm trying to make is you'd think it be smart to have some commercials airing or some info on your game to have it floating around peoples minds. I don't know if there's an example of a game with no advertising or info on it's changes out there to compare this too. But, I can't imagine launch day blowing up with massive sales. Even you suggested that I wait and don't buy it on launch day. Do you dis-agree with that point?
