Just like them being playable in the vitaWhat is the chance the PS1 games I bought on PS3 end up being playable on PS4?

If they ever release a working 'any game' Ps2 emulator, then you can bet that the first time you put the disc in it rips it to the hard drive and emulates from there. The disc only been required as proof of ownership. They sadly aren't likely to do this though. Is it technically possible to run PS2 games/discs on a PS4?
That would be glorious
There was also a screenshot posted in the PS4 beta community of a test stream of someone playing War Of The Monsters, which is a digital PS2 classic title in the US. Disk based backwards compatibility would be lovely, but it looks like this is only for digital PS2 releases.
Would be awesome.Very likely since they already do this for PS1 games on PS3/PSP/Vita.
Way too much smoke. The only question is when do they announce it?

I will die if Rogue Galaxy is among the PS2 Classics lineup xD
I wouldn't say 0% chance, but it is very likely they won't support disks.0% chance they're supporting physical media
Who said i am whining? How about we call out that crap if it happens instead of pre-whining?
People were excited over xbox bc. It hasn't really been implemented all that well so far though since they're still in beta and game lists are slowly increasing. Let's not make statements that don't encompass the reality please. Can't wait for

Possibly with the ps2 dvds, but no chance with digital.

I wish they would because there are so many great PS2 games not available as Classics. Though Sony probably has to jump through the same licensing hoops as MS does for emulated BC.If they ever release a working 'any game' Ps2 emulator, then you can bet that the first time you put the disc in it rips it to the hard drive and emulates from there. I called out the crap before it happened.
FF7 is the PC version.
Siren PS2 classic is on PSN for PS3, so I'm thinking it's probably a shared library. There aren't a whole lot of PS2 classics on PSN to begin with though. Maybe that'll pick up if the PS4 emulates them much easier.
Great post bruh.Can't wait for

Not impossible. Just not worth it for Sony to do, especially with how much they have invested in streaming.PS2 games NOT PS3, it would be impossible to emulate that. Different architectures.
