Im a huge Assasins Creed fan and I just preordered Syndicate.

Ive played through all the games except Unity, that ones a buggy mess.

Am I going to regret my purchase?
Anyone else hyped about the new game?

I think most people will say you'll regret it because your pre-ordered it.

All I can tell you is that if you enjoy exploring a virtual Victorian era London city with the AC parkour style, then you'll likely enjoy it.
Assuming you look past any poor performance that Ubi were too lazy to get ironed out by the time the discs shipped, of course :V

I hope you like it and nah I'm not hype. I got Unity free basically with an Xbox One and that wasn't enough for me to care about it after 10 minutes.

When does the review embargo lift?

I like Creed so will be picking it up when it launches in the UK on Friday. I thought it was out in the US today though.

thats like 3 threads for this game in a few days, the hype for this game is off the charts

everyone knows what to expect from the series at this point, syndicate is AC in london, shouldn't be too hard to figure out if you'll like it or not. f there were radical changes this year they would be marketed the hell out of and everyone would be aware,
on the technical side the gameplay from press has come with statements that it runs better than unity, but i would have thought last year would have been enough (on console at least) to push you to just wait until its out before ordering but whatevs

Why did you pre-order it after abandoning Unity? At the very least wait until there are some impressions of it.

I just bought a GTX 980 Ti so I'm getting the PC version of this for free with the Nvidia promo. It will be my first PC Asscreed since AC1 as I got everything else on PS3 because Uplay was absolutely terrible.

However, it does seem that Uplay has improved quite a bit. I just installed Far Cry 3 and all those damn installers are history, it worked just like Steam!

Now if only the PC version came out in time, but the Assassin's Creed PC delay is a tradition at this point.

Go for it OP, you skipped a year so you're probably in the mood for some AC. I'm the same, haven't played since Black Flag and fancy getting it this year.

I don't follow these games at all but I bet this will be one of those times where the game could turn out better than the apathy around it indicates. Unity+franchise fatigue really shit the bed with the series and I know there are people who actually really like Unity as a game under all the rushed release garbage.

AC4: Black Flag is actually really good if you can forgive the garbage story. Great exploration, nice atmosphere, good gameplay and good set pieces.

Chances it is a bug riddles mess are slimmer too. After the Unity shitstorm Ubi can't afford a snafu like that anymore.

Ubisoft might as well have called the game "Assassin's Creed Apathy", because there's no excitement or hype whatsoever surrounding this game. This IP is on its way down fast. Maybe the movie and a complete revamped new AC game in 2017 can turn things around but I'm not exactly hopeful.
