10am PT is the default time. If you look at the store page you'll see "This application will unlock in approximately 13 hours", which, as the timer updates every hour, translates to -- you guessed it -- 10am PT. ;)
So 1am on a day I have to be at work at 10? I was looking forward to using it on my day off. :(

The PC version didn't have a release date when the game was announced. The delay won't bother me if Ubi continues to work on the PC version across the next few weeks (the Steam version was last fiddled with yesterday).

Eh, if it prevents it from being as big a clusterfuck as Unity, then so be it. I just recall people being hyped to play more AssCrud this 'ere fine lookin' friday. I haven't followed the game at all because I got tired climbing towers a while back ^_~'

Which Street Fighter do you mean?

Current Humble Bundle features Ultra Street Fighter IV

No, I mean the new one. V.

Come to think of it, it's probably just because the beta opens this week-end, right?

yeah was just kidding about that, no harm done :p

i've been interested in wolf among us for a while but it never quite hit the price i wanted it to (and twd i got for free heh). tales of boredlands i dunno, i don't really care much for that series, specially when i think about how it's been keeping gearbox from making another brothers in arms game

reply to the rest of my post, damn it!

PLAY TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS!

I'll take a month delay for AssCreed just as long as Ubi keeps up with Steam achievements. Plus looking at the actions and rewards to Syndicate they've put some of the classic costumes (Ezio, Edward, Shao Jun, Elise and Aveline) behind them. Where my Altair outfit Ubi?

22, but I don't think uplay has ever really grabbed all my 360 data for some reason. Just you wait until I start replaying all AC games on PC.

I should look into the whole Steam account linking thing, I have like 2 uplay friends.
And the friend activity feed is just Dr Dogg doing his things.
I don't even know who the other person is.

I am the king of Uplay!!! Level 39 and about 20,000 XP points of everyone on my friends list (which include a couple of achievement fanatics from here). Only person I actually know on there though is my brother in-law who is dead last.

Dogg, what did you think of AC Rogue? I'm thinking of getting it when it goes on sale along with Black Flag.

stahp i dont like boredlands -___-

As many have posted already you don't have to like it to enjoy TFtB. It's a Telltales game, so if you enjoy that get the game.
I have yet to play any of the 3 BLand games and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Stop coming up with silly excuses :V

Toughie really. At the time mechanically I thought it was great, built upon Black Flag's core gameplay loops with some well thought out levels that have some nicely chained free runing sequences. Did like the inclusion of gang hideouts to clear though the reintroduction of city building in New York was a little half arsed. Story wise is cracks on at a frenetic pace and you can blast through the critical path in no time at all. Side stuff is a bit hit and miss and Stallion found it a bit of a missed opportunity with how the locations were used (lots of them historically relevant as well as the historical figures are introduced and dropped without much affect on anything).

Did like some of the ship upgrades over Black Flag like the rapid fire puckle gun and burning oil which can be used to encircle ships and rapidly take them down. The new dynamic of icebergs, which can be used for cover or destroyed to create damaging ripple waves, was pretty neat too but the Legendary Ship Battles did really get a bit too much compared to just one off big ships in BF.

Overall as Jase says if you liked Black Flag or you like the idea of exploring an open world with a hearty crew bleating out sea shanties (and all the ones from Black Flag plus a few new ones are in Rogue) you can get an enjoyable experience out of Rogue. But if it's the story beats, world building and historical setting that draws you to AssCreed then you might find it a bit lackluster. Overall it's about 6-10 hours for the main game and you can 100% it in 25 so it's the shortest (by AC standards) since Revelations.

Thanks for the info, Ive added it to my wishlist, I'm more in it for the gameplay really.

Rather than getting my body ready for SFV, I now have to work for eight hours. That's going to feel like an eternity.

Hopefully I'll be streaming it too, so you can all watch me be terrible.

Whether you like them or not makes no difference in regards to your TFTB enjoyment.
Really.
Best Telltale game since Wolf Among Us.

Also, fuck yeah, Troy Baker + Nolan North.
And Laura Bailey, aka canon Mass Effect waifu + canon Saints Row IV The Boss.

The really cool thing with Lightning Returns is that you get to smash Troy Barker's face in as one of his most annoying characters, Snow Villiers.

What a buzzkill you are, I think he should get more OT duties because he tried something different that looks cool and is funny. Dude put some time into that OT, unlike a lot of the rush jobs out there with boring old promo pictures and text.

All GAF really need to do is allow alt text for image links in posts then not only do you have a pretty OT but it's accessibility friendly and most user agents (ie browsers) can display that instead of the image.

I think that one looks nice too.

After that thread there were TONS of similar PR info dump threads progressively resulted going back into the current style of OP's you referred as rush jobs out there with boring old promo pictures and text..

There was a ton of discussion around the subject at the time.

For myself only things I look into in a OT is the bare relevant info and a place to speak.

That's the bare minimum, yes. Limited subset of styleable content / tags would be better though.

It's a one time thing, I say go all out, on the second OT condense it sure, but it's cool to see the crazy ones like those 2.

Btw, I didn't mean to come of aggresively in my first post if I did.

OK, I am ready to comment on Everlasting Summer, which I have been playing all week. Very short, it's a great game if you are from the former CIS, otherwise it might be worth a try, but I don't know how good the translation is.

A longer version:

Everlasting Summer is a free visual novel, the setting is a Russian summer camp for children, which many people from the former CIS will instantly recognize - especially those older than 30-35. You are playing as a 20-something guy from the present time who gets transported to some kind of an alternate reality with that summer camp, you are trying to understand what's going on and how to get back home, etc. The characters are mostly girls of different ages and personalities - which are all very distinct and well-defined.

The game is rich. It takes like 6 hours just for the first, straightforward playthrough. There are 7+ endings which are completely different from each other, all of them interesting (and sometimes completely unexpected). The dialogs in Russian are plain great. I didn't play the game in English, so I don't know how good the translation to English is, I imagine it'd be pretty hard to keep the quality on the same level as Russian, but if they managed to do that, oh, dear...

The number of scenes is something like 80. There is a tiny mod that you can download from the creator's site (obviously, for free), which unlocks around 20 hentai scenes, if you like. The graphic quality of the scenes varies, but there's nothing terribly bad, the style is the same, it's just that some scenes - which will typically be on the screen for 5-10 lines of dialog - have less detail. The music is just adorable, very on point, one tune is still living in my head. There are several achievements - one for each ending, plus a few extras. When you get around to getting them, you will be able to skip the scenes you've already seen and only stop at decision points or when the scenes that you have never seen before pop up - which is a nice touch.

Sum total, I enjoyed Everlasting Summer a lot. It's a great visual novel, the only caveat is that I don't know how good the translation to English is. If you speak Russian - and find the setting of a summer camp from the socialist / early perestroika childhood appealing (and chances are, you do) - definitely try it out, you might like it as much as myself.

Well, yeah. But at least the whole OT is entertaining to read and full of well-packed information.

You want to have a look at Metal Gear Solid 4 OT.

That's indeed pretty amazing. 39 posts of OT, crazy.
Lots of copy paste materials though. GW2 wins in creativity.
