Nope, for PC too.
now you'll get someone with a potato router and 0.5mb up
Must've accrued some budget cuts along the way if they're resorting to 900p with no dedicated servers.
I don't mind p2p, as long as the tickrate is high enough (30Hz at least) and the matchmaking remains ping-based (no rank-based BS).
Also, please don't reward laggers this time around:

ND online games use 15 Hz tickrate (including TLOU MP on the PS4).Oh man, this is so frustrating. The amount of times I've ran for cover, pressed O to duck, and then been downed despite being 100% covered is insane. There's always a delay in what you see on your screen and what the enemies see, most noticeable when you view your teammates cameras when waiting to spawn in. They'll be shooting a dude and getting hit-markers...but the bullets won't even be hitting them. They'll be trailing behind. And when you get executed by a sniper rifle and the stream from the bullet is nowhere near your body. Oh, and when you see a bomb under some cover, decide to sprint and leap over the cover to set the bomb off, only for it to down you when you've cleared it and are safe on the other side. So much BS.
Obviously dedicated servers wouldn't just miraculously fix these issues, but it would be much better.
Tell me about it:They could easily use a ping filter and kick these people from matches but they won't because they want as many players as possible and if players get kicked they'll stop playing.
If you're charging people to play online games, make the servers dedicated, otherwise, what are you charging me for?
Free Competitive DLC maps at the very least. And make them mandatory via a patch. This isn't surprising but it would be nice if Naughty Dog let some of that microtransaction wealth trickle down to the consumers. I think Halo 5 and Destiny are getting free DLC; ND could have given us dedicated servers. Their games always suffer from lag issues.
How if that something new?
We have been living with this for 10 years.
That was a question we asked MS for 11 years, too, when all online games were p2p on Xbox. I think some of their exclusive games are still p2p, actually.

What?
I haven't had any lag in any P2P server setup in years.
what's the point of paying for online then?
Dedicated is all pretty and good for the players living in the US and some parts of Europe and i think Australia.
For those other gamers that are far from the servers the experience isn't as much different than P2P. I'll risk saying that for us in south america is preferable to have P2P with local players than dedicated using U.S servers.
I think a popular justification back then was party chat and UI features, if I remember correctly lol. I guess today it would be free games

Nope. All Xbox One exclusives thus far have been entirely on dedis, with the exception of MCC which had a p2p fallback.
I prefer PS+ (the lesser of 2 evils), because I can trade in games without caring about passes.
Not having dedicated servers when you're paying to play online is the real joke here.

As I said, I can trade in games without caring about voucher codes -> the games don't lose that much value.Hah. PS+ the lesser of 2 evils compared to network pass. Incredibly cute.
no one cared half of last gen on 360 so what's the difference.
Not really. It depends on the tickrate.60fps with no dedi's? Counter intuitive or what?

P2P means the game won't become unplayable in 5-10 years, right?
Was Uncharted MP ever any good anyway?
I always found myself loading it up and then thinking, "why am I playing this when I could be playing Gears". I remember it being distinctively average.
The new one looks OK, but the super powers stuff is awful IMO.
